Finally got my hands on my S View cover today. Will post a video review tomorrow. As an added bonus, due to the grippy material and the way the case over hangs the phone it makes a great stand on any surface even slippy ones.

No need for a new thread. There is already an s-view topic here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438273
I'm looking for a (cheap) pouch that has the size to contain my Note 3 with a S View cover.
Hi I buy a flip cover for this phone with window in front and the back is battery cover. On that battery cover it is 2 pins. For what is that pins? The flip cover is not working like an s view cover. I don't know why. How the s view cover works? The phone have a hall sensor and the cover have a magnet? Why my case have 2 pins on the battery cover?
The two pins are there to tell the phone to use S-VIEW. You should be able to see the widgets and take pictures without opening the cover.
S-view work with magnet on the front display cover.

I received the official Samsung protective lens cover case this morning.

My first impressions are live and I have been out snapping photos and comparing them with my LG G5 which will be posted tomorrow for comparison.
So far I'm impressed.
For my Moto G 1st gen I bought a Nillkin flip cover. it had a tab with a magnet to make sure the flip cover does not open accidently. See attached pic.
I would like to get a Nillkin QIN Series flip cover for the Moto G4 Plus I intend to buy. However, I noticed it does not have a tab to keep/lock the flip cover closed.
Any one here got this cover please let me know if it (does not have?) has any mechanism to keep it closed.

I'm still using the Moto G1 cover I bought more than two years back, btw. Quality is quite good.
Information provided by info[at]nillkin[dot]org :
QIN series don't stay opened by stiffening plate between back and front
at the left side, yes, it doesn't have magnet on the front.
That makes easier opening of the case with one hand.

I have one of these for my G4. It does not have any closure mechanism - but that's the way I like it.

Are you saying that there's no mechanism to retain the flip cover in the closed position? It just like hangs loosely?
I thought the reply from Nillkin implied that the ' stiffening plate ' held it closed.

The front bit is stiff so sits nicely on top when it's closed.
