I just flashed the MIUI 3.10.18 Rom on my galaxy s2 GT-I9100
everything is working fine
but i have 2 major bugs
1) first when anyone calls me the phone autoreject the call without giving any notificatin or sound with numbers in the contacts or not
ps. i can make phone calls though but it rejects the incoming ones
2) the notifications for facebook or whatsapp or any other app dont show in the notification bar there is a notification sound but the icon doesnt appear in the bar
please help me i love this rom i dont wanna change it

Perform factory reset. If it doesn't help, reflash the ROM and kernel again.

Hi, your phone is working properly, i don't know why, but LED notifications are not activated for sms or emails, and by now, it can't be changed, maybe in the future with cooked rooms we can configure them as we want.

Ok so ill state what i have first
Im running toasts CM9 rom previously i was on Miks Sense 3.5
anyway when i was on that rom vibrate would work fine for text messages, and that was the first time as it didnt work on any other roms either.
And now im on toasts CM9 and the vibrate doesnt turn on for texts at all....it works for calls and when im changing volume but if its a message nothing...basically all i get is the screen stays off and all of a sudden the notification light is blinking thats it...i tried SMS popup and it didnt do anything either.
So can anyone give me some advice.
Also if anyone can recommend an app to make texts appear on my tablet and allow me to send them from the tablet as well (i have juiced defender on my phone so its an issue with certain sms apps)

probably a stupid question but have you tried fixing permissions through recovery or reflashing the ROM? might be that your vibrator could be going out.. just my 2 cents

In your messaging app, click 'menu, settings' then there should be an option for notifications, and a checkbox for 'vibrate when notifications received' or something similar since I'm not on CM9.

Yeah I have that set to always vibrate and still nothing
Since it's working for calls but not texts... clear the application data..?
I really dont get those idiots at Sony, why cant I have vibration only for calls and not for SMS and e-mails ? There are options like never, always, with sound and without sound but there is no separate option for notification vibration ! I actually want to turn off vibration for Viber because those developers dont care about customers requests at all, there is that stupid notification when you receive new message even when you write a reply and of course, not a word about different notification or vibration ON/OFF in Viber settings, bravo for those dudes.
So, my question is, can I somehow leave vibration for calls and turn it off for notifications ? Galaxy S II has that, are they so much smarter than Sony people ? I would expect that kind of stupidity on iPhone but this should be a lot more customizable platform and I can tell after 6 months with Galaxy S II that Samsung could be the king of Androids, this Sony has a few things that I cannot believe that they have it released without it.

I think you could use Lightflow to do that.
I am using Lightflow to create my own notifications (led color, speed, sound, vibration (and patterns). Works very well!
Please dont make jokes I have one thread in Apps department saying that Lightflow does not work on my phone :-/ Can you tell me step-by-step how to install this app ? I have installed it, gave it acessibility and test works but for notification I get default color and sound. I have no root and my bootloader is not unlocked.

(Please note: I have rooted my phone since the beginning and never tried Lightflow without root! But ofcourse you can just try the following steps. I hope it works for you!)
What I did to configure lightflow:
- Install Lightflow, very simple from Google Play;
- Enable it in Accessibility;
- Turn off vibration completely in the phone settings menu > sounds;
- Turn off default tones in the phone settings menu > sounds;
- Open Lightflow, choose the program and the way you want to let it notify you.

Thanks a lot, now I think that it works, I needed to make factory reset of the phones settings and that what you have said, I have no root. BUT this damn Viber still has his default vibration and sound, is there a way to disable his notification and use LightFlow ?

The most annoying thing about notification is that when I am talking over the phone and if I get any message, I get the notification sound even when I am talking.
I want the notification sound but not while talking over the phone or while having conversation with someone...
How to solve this problem ?

im not sure if its the same for 4.1.2 roms but if you go on the phone app then to call settings and call alerts there should be an option to toggle alerts during calls like i said im not to sure if its the same on 4.1.2 as im on 4.2.2 leak but theres no harm in looking
I have a Samsung Galaxy Core Plus (SM-G350) with a custom rom Lineage 11 android 4.4.4 . As soon as i installed it I saw that the notifications where silent .
I checked the settings but they where all in non-silent mode . Even the touch sound and vibrate at touch dont work. Anyway the major problem is that i dont hear the notification from messenger and any other app except WhatsApp. After two days i heard a sound of messenger while i was playing a video with volume up. I hope anyone can help me or mabye the custom rom is not developed in the right way.
