I think what you should first do is, remove any antivirus/ task killers/ battery saver apps. Try to keep your home screen cleaning by avoiding widgets. Disabling notifications for some messenger/social network apps might help too, and disable auto backup or auto anything for that matter. Try to keep only apps installed that you really really need or use.
Hit thanks if I helped

Try out pure performance or operation killjoy.
Take a backup before installing those tweaks.
You could also try greenify which is a xposed framework module.

First tip - remove the bit about deleting batterystats.
This file is used to maintain, across reboots, low-level data about the kinds of operations the device and your apps are doing between battery changes. That is, it is solely used to compute the blame for battery usage shown in the "Battery Use" UI in settings.
That is, it has deeply significant things like "app X held a wake lock for 2 minutes" and "the screen was on at 60% brightness for 10 minutes."
It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you.
It has no impact on your battery life.
Deleting it is not going to do anything to make your more device more fantastic and wonderful... well, unless you have some deep hatred for seeing anything shown in the battery usage UI. And anyway, it is reset every time you unplug from power with a relatively full charge (thus why the battery usage UI data resets at that point), so this would be a much easier way to make it go away.
That lot comes from here (for more info click it!)

Ok, great initiative. Good luck.
My personal feedback. There are two mods that for me are indinspensable: 1) battery percentage and 2) Lidroid mod (14 icons). CRT on-off is to impress girls and I leave this mod at your choice.
Is it possible to have a CWM package that has Battery percentage and Lidroid mod included?
Meanwhile I am downloading and I would suggest to check the first link as it seems not working.

Please upload samsung apps or just samsungs excellent push email app. It allows pinch zoom as well as group email. Its the only app out there that combines all three. Push pinch and group!
I'm gonna get back to you with feedback on this rom as soon as you do. Cheers.

Is that the samsung supplied email app white envelope with red seal on front icon?
By the way, the first link is dead. Is the second link just a mirror? I.e. the same file?
Thanks for the quick response.

[Official Thread] Battery Life

Hi guys!
For all people who want to know how to increase battery life!
Here we will put all solutions and information how to this.
1. Disable WiFi/Mobile Network - GPS - Bluetooth if you do not use them!
2. Set display brightness manually and reduce it (Settings » Sound & Display » Brightness)
3. Reduce screen timeout (Settings » Sound & display » Screen timeout)
4. Do not leave applications running and when you close them, close also from Recent Apps
5. Turn off Location system (Settings » Location & Security » Uncheck the boxes for Google Location Services and GPS Services)
6. Do not use Live Wallpapers, this will decrease your battery life!
7. Turn unnecessary hardware features off like 4G LTE network
8. Remove unused widgets from Home
9. Uninstall unused applications and keep your memory free
10. Have a Dual Core smartphone? Disable the last one! Attention. This will increase your battery life but will decrease your performance! (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36523894&postcount=1)
11. Turn off auto-sync. This will increase your battery more.
Have you got other solutions? Tell us! And we will put it into first post.

i dont think setting the brightness to auto will increase battery life. it will decrease more likely! setting the brightness manually would be a good idea than auto. since auto requires energy to change the brightness now and then.
anyway keep up!

Yeah. What you said is true. Auto means, the sensor has to work also, to detect the luminosity of external environment. This will call other processes and so forth...eventually using battery...I always use manual method..
Thank you for your usefull information!

i think what he meant to say is official thread for battery life recommendations and discussion. let it be, this way, others may not create another battery performance thread. i think this has a nice touch by putting recommendations in OP.
had a similar thread in HD2 Android.

Greenify
greenify is also a nice solution for this
battery life concern, this will increase battery life considerably
and this will include other benefits too... like less data usage
In Settings-wifi-advanced I checked Best Wi-Fi performance and it drained like hell, so, if wifi is enabled, uncheck this one.

Mods alone won't give you better battery life. They'll have to be mods that either throttles or removes something, to release resources. A stock 4.4.4 ROM will work great as it is, but you can remove apps and services that you don't use, so they don't use battery. Use Stamina. It's really really good at saving power while in standby, and don't whitelist every single app you have. IM apps like Hangouts, FB Messenger, Whatsapp etc. are all using a lot of battery, so keep that in mind too.

You need root access for that and xposed installer. Just download Gravitybox and use only the option for center clock. Most of the other customization are meant for Google stock/aosp Rom so no guarantee they'll work. I personally use the ported Google play edition Rom with gravitybox for full support.

Good advice.... I am on stock 4.4.4 and am using gravity box for center clock with day of the week, advanced power menu, and Xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons to give me four buttons with custom icons including a dedicated settings button.

Probably some kind of wake lock. Use betterbattery stats or wakelock detector and see if any of your apps are keeping your phone from idling.
@rahulbrand
If your phone heats after booting that means that u have a lot of multimedia files to scan. Process named like android_proces_media will keep your CPU in maximum frequency until he scans all of the multimedia.
And one more questions.
Which rom are u using ?
And i saw internet speed icon on your statusbar. I now which app are u using (Internetspeed.apk). Please uninstall it for now. It definitly wakes up system very often.
