Fastboot drivers and windows 8.1 - HTC Desire X

There is any version of this drivers for win 8.1, becouse now i cant even install kernel, becouse my phone isnt recognise

It won't work with win 8.1 as reported a few times already on this forum. Try a linux live CD, maybe it works in a VM already (didn't try this yet).

So it never wont work? Or it will work if it is an update of this drivers?

I think that if that function in Windows 8: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462567

Look here in a few days, I will try to find Windows 8.1 compliant drivers, but can't test them with DX anymore, as I sold this device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2222501
At the moment you could probably boot an Ubuntu Live CD and install Fastboot via
Code:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-fastboot

Im stuck in this same situation. Just got a new computer a couple of days ago.
It wont boot to cd
I can get the usb hard drive function and the ADB to work but fastboot is no go.
I need to revert to stock because I lost HSPA+ on my phone and stuck on edge.
I cannot do so because I dont have fastboot to reflash my old kernel and the phone is S-ON
Ive tried for two days.. thinking im just stuck with buying a new phone.

DUDE.... buy a usb flash drive maybe 4gb..... make it bootable via YUMI using ubuntu 12 x64 distro, and search a guide using which u can use fastboot mode.
Stop changing phones for minor issues. If u want a faster/better phone, then sure, go ahead buy one.

Is it possible?

I've found a few errors on Marshmallow for PLK-L01, which I installed manually, and, like happened to many people, It gave me an error while updating, but then it booted with the new version as nothing happened.
My question is: what if these errors I've found are due to the manual installation? And then, would it be possible to rollback from B330b to B180 in order to get the OTA? (assuming that the errors are caused by what I mentioned)
You should have been updated once more after you got the error message.

I simply followed the instructions given by Honor in their PDF, it didn't say nothing about updating twice.
Yup I know there is nothing about that, but it was discused before at this forum. You should just copy the update.app file again to the dload folder, then write in the dialpad *#*#2846579#*#* and check the software update.
Also if the first update didn't erase all your data there is a big possibility that this time it will.

Should I update now again? It did erase my data. I've been able to use my phone, the errors were notifications, esentially. Fixed by using Google Now Launcher
You should update and this time it should go up to the 100%. If the bugs will still be present then you can try to downgrade to the B121 and wait for the OTA. But I'm on the B330 and don't have any problems with notifications

Thanks a lot. Do you see the lock button on the tools folder, like the one in Lollipop?
Nope, it is gone but it is available on the custom launchers as Nova e.g. This is wierd but it is like that since the B320. Don't really know why

Root for Oreo

Hi guys, I just received the official Oreo OTA update.
Does Oreo require a different root method?
If so, where can I find the needed files, like twrp recovery, and so on?
Thank you for the help.

At this moment there isn't any valid solution to root oreo in this section. Only a beta twrp with one month ago's tests and unknown functionality: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/beta-t3728856

Just for being sure.
1. I wil install Olddroids Oreo
2. Flash TWRP for Oreo
3. Flash this root
4. Should I keep the TWRP (and not use it as it is limited in functionality) or should I flash erecovery back?
Thanks.

Maybe this is a noob question but is it possible to root without installing twrp recovery?
Because if I install twrp recovery I will probably loose the capacitive buttons and camera flash.

Pie WiFi problems.

I have problems with WiFi on Pie. WiFi is connected but sometimes it is inactive. It looks like some kind of deep sleep of WiFi. After couple of seconds it works again. Anyone have problems with WiFi? I know that LG is informed about that strange behaviour on Pie.

on my older h932, i had wifi problems as well with Pie roms so i flashed the modem radio found in this topic via TWRP

and found that fixed my problem.

I didn't? maybe it's the ROM you are using. I did this on a liquid remix pie ROM on an older phone that was stolen from me long ago.
On my new h932 I flashed havoc 2.9 over a flashable stock Oreo and wifi seemed to work but I have the flashable modem on my sd card just in case

Ah I understand. In fact, the problem is on stock Pie, with custom rom there's no problem
