Hi, Today I've received my Jiayu G3S 1.5GHz. The newest ROM from jiayu.es was recommended to me, so I installed it.
everything was fine until I installed Nova Launcher and uninstalled the stock one.
Jiayu got into some weird bootloop: it turned on to homescreen (everything worked there) but after like 5 seconds it got into rom loading screen again and stayed there.
I decided to wipe system from stock recovery. I've done that like three, four times but every time it turns on there's no launcher! Just black screen instead of wallpaper. There's notification bar and I can get into settings, turn wifi etc.
I wanted to reinstall ROM from SD Card, but stock recovery doesn't see update.zip.
How can I fix that?

I flashed EDT FlagshipV4 yesterday, and it was working fine until I changed the lockscreen and tried it out, but right as I pressed the sleep button the phone just shutdown. I booted the phone up again and the EDT animation played and the phone looked like it was ready to go (could move the homescreen and such). However, as soon as the media scanning thing was done, the phone would reboot and this would happen over and over again. During each reboot the phone vibrated in a specific pattern.
Now I'm pretty new to Android, so I did a battery pull, booted it to recovery and proceeded to flash the phone to the Trigger 2.2.1 zip I had on the SD card and the booting issue stopped. Can anyone tell me what went wrong with my phone? I'm hoping that it wasn't Flagship, because I really like the look of that ROM. Thanks!
Did u flash a new lock screen or just change to a different one via settings/display? If u flashed a new lockscreen sometimes the system files aren't the same as the Rom which cause it to do so.

Haven't had any issues with that rom, you must have flashed an incompatible framework for lock screens. If you haven't, I'd download the rom again and reflash.
[Q1] I was using paul-xxx's custom RIM MiniCM Pro. Last saturday, it refused to boot and got stuck while showing white "Sony Ericssson" on black screen.
So I reflashed the stock ROM and it worked again. Rooted and flashed with custom -> stopped working.
[A1] The answer was my SD-card. After I took it out, phone booted normally. So I formatted it and put it back - still working.
The difference to the stock ROM is that most custom ROMs use higher Android versions which include using a part of the SD-card for apps. So I guess, something happens here and sometimes. A friend of mine had a similar problem with his HTC desire.
[Q2]: Does anybody know, what exactly could have happend?
Hi everybody
I have bought chinese android tablet last month.
Boxchip cougar a10c,similiar as mid/player momo tablet
http://www.bursaandroid.com/product...ghz-hdmi-support-game-3d-os-ginger-bread.html
It's came with android ice cream sandwich 4.0.1+rooted+unlock bootloader
Working flawlessly until i installed task killer app.
I used it,and after several times i killed app, suddenly there is pop up notification came.("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped")
I reboot the tablet, but when it turn on,it is just bootloop.I reset again, and it doesnt appear anything on the screen unless the black screen only (with sometime light flashing from the screen).
Then i flashed and format it to gingerbread (2.3.4) rom from their official web
And yes,it is work and finally i can boot into home screen and do any else.
But after several time turning off and on,the problem came back again (bootloop and black screen) but somehow i manage to go to recovery mode and do factory reset+wipe data and cache, but it's useless.
I flashed it again with the same rom,and it's start working.And goes..after a while..the problem back again.
I choose to flash back to ice cream sandwich. When i turn on,then goes the same first problem at the begining
("Unfortunately Launcher/Market/Gmail/Emulator,and many else has stopped").
I reset again then new problem came out.

Rather than use that guide,i choose to flash to gingerbread rom.
Then it's fine,until..you know, reboot the device and back again to bootloop
Is it because the task killer app?Or it is hardware failure?or maybe there is some file that has been deleted/terminated?
This is really frustrating for me,actually this is my present to my mother for her birthday,i'm kinda sad and regret for choosing this tablet,i wish i could turn back in time, maybe i'll choose galaxy/sony tab instead of this one..
Please..i'm really need help here..
Many thanks for sure..
they always worked fine for me, mbbe depends on which app
I have a galaxy nexus (running viscous rom v5 jellybean) and installed rom toolbox pro and tried changing the battery icon. it went through and installed and then froze. after a reboot, i am missing the status bar and all the soft buttons. I've tried going back into rom manager and installing a new icon and it fails, and I cannot see how to go back and install with the backup i told it to make.
Anybody have any advice?
Thanks, -Ryan
I re-installed viscous rom through rom manager and didn't wipe anything, and everything appears to be working alright. the battery icon i tried to install still isn't there though.
I did the exact same thing but 5 minutes ago.
CAN ANYONE HELP?
I made a backup of the icons etc, but I don't know how to restore it?
I tried to change notification background, rom toolbox downloaded it and reeboted my phone.
But cant see the new notification background !
Is there any file in system which I can replace to do the same?
Hi All
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100G) for over 2 years UNROOTED , yesterday, I rooted it and all went successfully and smoothly in a way I didn't believe that I done it  , but unfortunately I tried to change my System theme , boot animation and installed one of themes offered by "ROM Toolbox Lite" app , then it prompts me to reboot in order for the changes to take place, I done.
The Problem, when it reboots it didn't change any of the boot animation, and when I swipe the screen in (Swipe the screen to unlock) window It freezes and reboots again and again.
One of the solutions I've tried is to Unroot my mobile phone and all went successfully but the problem remains the same! Couldn't enter my home screen to remove the theme , moreover, I tried to wipe system/factory data, to return to main factory settings and nothing changes! , to make matters worse , I wiped the cache partition , when I reboot the phone I got an error message saying :
"App (COMANDROIDUI) stopped unexpectedly . Please try again later", I tabbed on "Force close" then the status bar vanishes and phone freezes for 4 seconds and reboots again :crying: , btw, it shows to me the screen of green android avatar which means that it successfully reset to default factory settings, I didn't flash any custom ROM or made any changes to kernel or firmware.
Now I couldn't open my phone any more :crying:
Any one help me pleaaase , U could assume am a noob
Thanks in advance

Finally, got a solution that suggested I download the original firmware and flash it.
I successfully done it and surprisingly, I got back my phone
If anyone got a problem like this feel free to ask about it
