restore playstore apps - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi
i use my google account on 2 devices: galaxy s3 and nexus 10 tab.
i recently flashed on my s3 a paranoid rom. there, i was asked to sign in to my google account (like always when u set up a phone) but then it downloaded automatically all apps i had on my phone before (under play store ALL) and id also knew, which apps i just use on my tablet and did not install those!
know, i finally found which rom i prefer to use from now on (cyanomod).
does anybody know how to force playstore to restore the device like id happend on the other rom?
and NO, have no other backups of my app, and the app data is not importent, i just dont want to download all apps manually.

[Q] Changing Primary Google account without deleting apps.!

Hi,
I've a galaxy S2 . I initially entered a google account and installed many apps from market with that account .
But times have changed and now i've a new primary gmail account and do not use my previous account anymore .
So is there a way to delete my old account from my S2 and enter the new gmail account while all apps still installed on my phone .?
I know that once i delete the old primary account from my phone , it'll deinstall all apps from my phone as well as remove all entries from android market associated with that account .
So , can i do this :
1. Take backup of all apps+data in titanium backup .
2. Delete my primary account from S2 and make a new account primary .
3. Restore apps+data from titanium backup , and then restore market links .
4. Hit install for all apps installed on my phone in the android market linked to my new primary account . That way market would see that apps are already installed on my phone so won't install them again and thus creating entries in android market for all installed apps .
Can i do that .??
Plz reply ....

[Q] Automatic installation of apps after rom change

Hi guys! This if my first post about a strange situation with account and apps.
I have 2 phones:
A galaxy Nexus and an Xperia Ray.
2 differents gmail accounts with sync and automatic backup on.
When I change rom in my nexus, at the first startup I just put my username and password and automatically all my apps are downloaded and installed.
In my Xperia I'll do the same, but I've to open Play Store, click on "installed apps" and manual install my apps one by one.
Is normal that? I'm using the same settings for backup and syncronization for the 2 phones....and this happen for every rom that I've installed in my ray.
Thanks for your help!
Valerio
On nexus devices at the setup wizard there's the option to restore them, I guess this option doesn't exist in our setup wizard
But there should be a way to download all the apps automatically
Sent from my Nexus 7 running Android 4.2.2

You can use Titanium Backup from play store to backup and restore your applications.
AW: [Q] Automatic installation of apps after rom change
i think it only works with jb. on any ics roms i had installed on my ray, there was a checkbox for backup and restore phone through the google account. but it worked never for apps. then i installed super jelly bean and checked this option in setup wizard and all apps where automatically downloaded.

[Q] What folder/file controls device identification to Google?

Every time I flash a new ROM on my phone, whether it was my old Galaxy S2 or my current Galaxy S4, Google Play recognizes that it is the same device as before and installs all the apps I previously installed on the phone.
My android stick computer (Minix Neo X5) does not behave this way. Every time I flash a new ROM, regardless of whether it is an official ROM from the developer (Minix) or a custom ROM with CWM, Google Play does not recognize that it is the same device as before and I have to go through the arduous process of installing all previous apps.
Is there a file or folder that I could backup on my stick computer and restore after flashing that will let Google Play recognize it properly? build.prop?

Try Titanium Backup or Nandroid Manager (both available on the Play Store). They can change the Android device id to match the previous, there are also dedicated apps if you google "change android device id".

Thanks for the post. I was wondering what I could search on Google to potentially find my answer.
I will try out these methods and report back. I was unaware that Titanium/NAND backs up the device information (I thought it was just for apps and app data)

I think they are system app and auto updated when u connect to wifi. So dont need to worry.
i dont think so, infoprovided installed again and cleanmaster says its virus
also malwarebytes finds system upgrade app as a malware

Before you noticed the apps installed, had you installed any other apps from google play or from apk files?
I've had apps in past that showed ads and when i tried to click out of them they auto installed other apps in background.
Just out of curiosity, have you tried uninstalling them? and if yes did they come back?
And I maybe wrong on this but I think google play checks the apps on it's store for virus's, so see if the apps you mentioned are on the play store, if they are not, then it being downloaded from another source.
If thats the case, you really need to backtrack to when you first noticed them and what you had installed up to 3 or more days before you noticed them.
its not from playstore, its from a diffrent source, i uninstalled infoprovided before and return after a few days
and i found the culprit, its the FWupgradeprovider, it can install or update app without the users consent, but my device is not rooted so i cant remove it. maybe there is another way to remove it?

Restore apps without Google account in settings?

Hello,
is there a way to get the apps automatically to my new Oppo Find X phone?
I used Google for that but my new phone doesn't have that menu point
Do you know an app where I can do my restore of Google like I was used to?
Thnaks in advance
Easiest way is to install Play Store from the Oppo App Store. Play Store will bring along Google Framework and allow you to sign in and do the restore. Otherwise I've also had some success with Helium although some apps won't backup with it. Sucks that we don't have root.

Thanks for the answer. I've done this and it works.
But I cannot automatically backup all the apps. I need to install every app separately, or?
When you first sign in with the account after installing play services one of the steps it asks you is if you want to restore your apps and settings. If you say yes it should start installing all the play store apps your account had installed on your other device. Not sure what to do if it didn't ask you. Maybe it wasn't enabled when you were setting up on the old device...
