[Q] After sucsesfull root no LTE selection in i9205 (Solved) - Samsung Galaxy Mega

After a great root on my galaxy mega all works fine untill i found out i wasn't getting any 4g reception.
So i looked in the settings but there is no selection that says auto selection LTE/wcdma/gsm.
I can only choose GSM/wcdma auto or only gsm or only wcdma.
Searched the site but couldn't find a awnser for this problem, it said that the LTE drivers where in the root file.
After root flashed stock kernel back to remove red lines.
Did i miss something or how do i fix this?

I just had contact with my provider and they will look for a solution thru an update or something like that.

I just root and some file explorer with root support goto DATA\PROPERTY\ delete file that name
xxxx.xxxxx.lteon (not remember full filename)
then reboot there will be option for select LTE network

Hi!
ik heb je forum gelezen over de LTE functie die niet beschikbaar was.... ik heb óók Vodafone met een Galaxy Mega en had de functie óók NIET. ik heb toen ook geroot en deze xxxxx.xxxxxx.lteon file verwijderd, en de functie was beschikbaar :laugh:.... alleen.... als ik in een 4G zone ben krijg ik geen 4G verbinding... werkt dit bij jou wel?

Aah oke, ligt dus niet aan mijn toestel ... dan maar naar de Vodafone winkel, en kijken wat ze zeggen... ik hoorde aan de telefoon dat ik dan een nieuwe SIM-kaart moet hebben ofzo....

Returns?!
After i did this i flashed back the Original firmware without any problems. The function was available for a while, and i got connected once to the 4G LTE network... but after a while, the function disappeared again and the xxxxx.xxxxx.lteon file was back, how to fix this for ever?!

No problem here but if i am correct you removed the file and after that you flashed your phone again?
Mabey that is the problem and you have to remove the file again.

Yep. i deleted the file and Flashed the stock firmware back via Odin3. After that, the function was available. I put a Lebara Mobile SIM-Card in the Phone and since then the function was unavailable on Vodafone NL network. now i followed all the steps again and the LTE/GSM/WCDMA (auto-connect) function is available again... hopfully it will stay if I keep this SIM-Card inside.....

Thnx for the info it helped me too..deletting lte did bring the option of lte back in networks mode..
