I had a Xperia Arc S and the only thing that keep me away from installing any CM based Rom is that the camera quality drops pretty much.
Is that a issue too with Xperia P + CM?

The Xperia 2012 lineup includes a feature called sweep multi-angle, which also appeared briefly in a demonstration video of the Arc S (but never really made it to an official firmware).
Is it possible to port this feature to the Neo?

I was referring specifically to the sweep multi-angle feature. See this for a (relatively poor) example.
AFAIK this feature never made it to the 2011 lineup.
Hi, is there a new camera or something to do to Xperia U phone with the camera? It's really awful the definition it has. I have the bootleader locked.
thank you.
Im thinking of buying Xperia P, and I heard for camera glitches and freezing. I just want to make sure, have these issues been fixed with jellybean release, or do they still persist? Are they hardware or software issues?
Thank you in advance.
Camera is perfect on jb

Hi, I'm currently on the Z1 and I'm aware of certain issues to do with the camera / CM11 or something to do with custom ROMs.
I'm considering and upgrade to the Z2 and am wondering if there are similar issues or is it a lot better now?
Thanks

The Z2 has 0 of the issuses that the Z1 has
The only problem is that xreality wont work if you dont have the right TA to your ROM but you can simply find the FTF that matches that rom
The only other is that you have a decent chance of getting a defective unit
So flashing custom roms should be no issue to you
Take note that CM11 is very buggy because official stable isnt released

But that problem with unlocking bootloader and camera functionality was for first month of XZ1 release
after that sony fixed it by some updates.
anyway on launch thr s no problem on XZ2
it s good device to customize & etc (even u can get it when XDA put it on Top Devices as upgrade of XZ)
:good:
Cm11 does have official builds now but the camera doesn't work and there's a bug that causes the touchscreen to stop responding when it goes into deep sleep

why do you want motorola camera? z2 has everything you need in stock rom and you can have even more addons. you have slowmo in sony s app timeshift video that takes 120 fps. i suggest you try the existenz rom, i use kitkat (existenz ultimate) because it s more stable with xposed and root

There is no device that has fully supported and full featured camera in any CM or AOSP ROM. By using CM or AOSP ROMs camera quality sacrifice is inevitable. You will loose all advanced post-processing and features tailored for a specific camera. Camera hardware is working on universal CM drivers and by rule OEM drivers are proprietary and closed source. There is nothing anybody can do about this. Slo mo and 120 fps recording are advanced features not supported without OEM camera drivers. This is the case with all android devices. There are some improvisations and hacks for some specific devices but are almost always of poor quality and unusable. Moto cakera works with Z2 and CM but slow motion is not working properly.
