I got the 4.3 update, and I was really looking forward to the Disabled tab in Apps, but I'm not seeing it.
I'm running stock (bootloader unlocked only). I've cold rebooted, warm rebooted (even though I saw the other 4.3 changes without).
I've searched all over the place to see if I need to enable (oh, the irony) the view or actually have to do anything to make it display. I figured as long as I could disable apps, I should be able to see the disabled tab.
Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi all,
Firstly can I say thankyou to all of you at these forums, I've been a lurker for a while, waiting for my Prime to arrive, and I'm very grateful for all your insights!
I have now recieved it and seem to avoided most of the well-documented problems on here, but seem to have managed a new one (at least i couldn't find a similar one through searching).
So I updated the Prime with the new firmware and it all seemed to go well. After a while the notification popped up to do the camera firmware (as I had been expecting from these threads). I set it going, and after a short while it said it was complete. The next time I powered on however, the notification to update the camera firmware was back, so I did it again (thinking it must be additional one). But it keeps doing the same thing - saying it's successful, only to re-appear after a re-start.
My current versions are
Build - 8.8.3.33 (which i know is what it should be)
Camera - 0xFFFFFFFF (which I know is wrong!)
Anyone else had a similar problem? Or any ideas?
I have no idea if it's possible, but I am also wondering whether this is what's causing my auto-rotate not to work. Just to confirm, I have the auto-rotate set on, and the gyroscope doesn't seem to be working for anything else (tried it on riptide demo)
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
you should try reflashing .33 from the ASUS hosted file...i think there are a few threads about where to get it.

Mine is completely borked. After installing ICS I got a notification for a camera firmware update. The update failed several times, and now when I launch the camera app it says it won't work without updated firmware...
EDIT: I rebooted and as soon as it started up it bugged me to install the camera update again. I made sure the screen stayed on while it updated this time and things seem to have worked out. Camera is working just fine!
Hi Folks,
This was the closet forum I could find for my phone. I actually have the GS2 HD LTE (i757) from Bell Mobility in Canada. Monday I finally received my Jelly Bean Update (4.1.2) I wish I could say I an excited however it has caused me so much stress, Ever since I installed it my phone has been terrible laggy. ICS gave me no troubles but after seeing the huge performance boost in my Wife's i9100m last month when it was available to hers I did not hesitate to update mine. Below I will list my symptoms, as well as the steps I have done to resolve this. I have search everywhere for an answer and have come up with nothing. Also to note, my Friend in the office has a Galaxy Note with a different provider (Telus) who received the update the same day, we can put our phones side by side and we both experience the exact same issue.
Setup:
i757 (S2 HD LTE)
Not Rooted
Symptoms:
Swiping to unlock is choppy
Opening Messaging to text takes three part (Loads the body, loads previous message and then keyboard loads in the middle of the screen and works its way down.
30-45 second pause to open the dialer
when clicking the power button to get to the lock screen it shows the desktop for a second, then god to my lock screen wallpaper then my lock screen icons appear. After this I can swipe.
loading apps
at startup RAM is 558MB/737MB. I hit clear memory right away it goes to 394MB/737MB. But open any app I am back up to to 550MB-600MB
Things I have tried:
Install install was Down with Kies as a regular update with all my Apps still installed.
I Wiped Cache and down a Factory Reset
Reloaded the Stock ROM with Odin3 v1.85
In developer options I disabled animation for Window, Transition and Animator
I disabled ripple effect for lock screen
I disabled Google Now
Tried to Wipe Cache then resume use without reloading OS
Tried Disabling GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and sync.
Installed Android assistant to clean up startup
Did another Factory Reset/Cache Wipe then install OS from MSD
None of these options have made a difference. The phone worked flawlessly on ICS, I don't know what else I can do. Has anyone experienced this issue? and if so have they fixed it?
At this point I will try anything before I take out the hammer and fix it for good. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
- Boots!
Also my Current status is Factory Reset/Wipe Cache OS Installed from SD Card nothing install.

Hi,
I have the exact same symptoms on my SGH-i757m.
The phone is brand new! I got it for the job, in replacement of my s2-i9100. As soon as I got it, I had the official ICS, then JB done to it...and it is an absolute disaster up to now.
Sometimes I can't even take an incoming call because the ''incoming call screen'' (with the green and red phones logo) freezes, giving me the ''com.android.phone has stopped'' error.
I'll be looking out for solutions, but I might just take it back to ICS soon...

Please keep this thread in mind, Anything I can find I will post it here. If you could do that same that would be great. My S2-i9100 was amazing with the Official JB release also. I am surprised more people are not complain online about this as I know my friend with the Note on Telus is having same issue (Update was released the same time for him) I also called Bell and their Tech support said they were receiving alot of the same issues since the May JB update..
Damn Lag has got my phone!
AH! damn update lag has got my phone and my girlfriends too! We both have the samsung galaxy HD LTE I757M phone and have exactly the issues all of you guys have. From extremely slow response to flickering and its just a pain in the ass. My girlfriend tried a factory reset which worked for about a week with no lag or anything but then just started the same lag issues we all have. A lot of people apparently are reporting that a factory reset does the charm but its only a matter of time before the issues creep back to your phone. Right now I am going to try a custom rom for our phones and hope that it works. If it does Ill post the results for you guys to hopefully benefit from.

I was having the same problem with my I757M. This phone is fine on ICS 4.0.4.
I don't know the real solution but, the phone is fine (for now)
Used Forever Gone app
Did a factory reset before upgrading to JB 4.2.1 (Maybe?)
Removed Ripple effect on Screen lock
Set the transitions to 0.5x
Power savings enabled (Screen only)
Disabled these system apps
100% HD Games
AllShare Play
Asphalt 6
Google Play Magazine
Google Play Movies
Google Play Music
Google+

I installed JB 4.1.2 today, saw some improvements, hope it is fixed for good !
The ram usage on boot (369MB / 737MB)
Sorry to post again !!
Okay, it started to lag as described by others. So I went back to 4.0.4... The battery life is better on Jelly Bean because it can reduce the screen's power (not just brightness)
I did this today, my last attempt with JB...
In Dial :: *2767*3855# (it formats everything, even sdcard, so backup your things before doing this !!!)
I configured ICS from the welcome screen (no gmail configuration, etc.)
Installed JB 4.1.2 from Kies.
I disabled the programs mentionned at my previous post...
There was still a lag when unlocking the phone. Tried Holo Locker and didn't do anything... still lags.
Then, I searched on the net :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224906
It seems TouchWiz has problems rendering Widgets on homescreen, so, I installed Nova Launcher to replace it.
For now, when receiving a SMS, after unlocking, the wallpaper can become black, but there is no lag like before. :good:
Same situation
My wife‘s i757m has the same situation. I wiped to factory and uninstall like "let's golf", google play music. Then it turned much better for about 1week and then be back lag lag lag again.
I have no idea why it is so ridiculous , cause my friend's I727(GS2HD rogers) is very good after he updated his in March.
Please help me SGH-1757M
I have the same Issues.
After upgrading the Phone to 4.1.2 bellow issues identified.
1) When Incoming call comes the Phone Frezes and Green and Red button on the screen does not work
2) Some times it works but when I get any call the Phone rings with black screen and after some time it comes with number and then caller id and then answer button
3) Every time when I went to Messaging it loads the messages with number and next updates the Caller ID and then body of the messages and text editor
4) Morning when alarm rings phone Freezes and does not allow me to stop the alaram and force restart the Phone.
I am having so amny problems like this .
Please suggest what we can do here to resolve these issues.
I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, I'm not a techie and this is my first post here... I upgraded to the s4 from the dinc2 a couple months ago. I've been searching for a hack for the stock mobile hot spot, similar to the one for the dinc (where you access the hidden menu from the dialer using #778). I can't seem to find any hidden menus on the galaxy s4. I've searched the forums and tried some of the dialer codes suggested but none of them are working. At one point, I was able to get to a screen allowing me to select either enable or disable edit mode. I selected enable but I couldn't go any further, there were no options to move forward or actually edit anything and I haven't been able to get back to it ever since. But, by getting at least that far I'm led to believe its possible for this to work If I knew what I was doing (obviously, I do not. Lol)
All other suggestions I've found have been for root but I'm not interested in rooting. Again, I'm not rooted and I'm updated to 4.3. Basically what I'm searching for is a way to access that service programming menu from the dialer on the Verizon S4... Any ideas?
Anyone?

What your trying to do is possible, but is not possible without root, because in order to access the hidden menus witch are turned off by default you must edit the build.prop file that is located in the system folder of your phone witch is write protected. Now you could root your phone and then apply the edit, then after doing what you need to do just un-root the phone (if that's something your interested in doing).
Hello all. Ive seen a bunch of the threads of people talking about issues with their device, but I've found a few weird bugs that I haven't seen anywhere else, so I wanted to see if anyone else has seen these/knows a solution.
Before I get started, I have a 32GB WiFi only N9. I installed that first firmware update that you get when you start the device, and nothing else. I have NOT rooted, installed a customer kernel, unlocked the bootloader, nothing. My current build number reads as LRX21L.
1) Heads Up Notifications. I don't get them. Period. This was a Lollipop feature I was really looking forward to, and no matter what app it is or what I'm doing, they don't give me a Heads Up popup. I don't think I did anything that would turn them off, it's just weirding me out that it's not happening. Is there a toggle somewhere that controls it?
2) Flashlight Toggle. I love that we finally have this, but the weirdest thing happened recently: it vanished. Like just totally up and vanished. I've only used it a few times in the week I've had the device, but I've never even touched the Cast Screen toggle and it's still there. Honestly, I used the flashlight toggle less than 24 hours before it vanished. How do I get it back?
I'm inclined to do a factory reset and see if it fixes these issues, but I wanted to check with you folks first. I also feel like I'm forgetting a third thing, if it comes to me I'll add it to this post.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry to hear about your problems. I'm also not receiving heads up notifications. I have notifications set to "always interrupt", but have never received a heads up notification.
I still have the flashlight quick toggle, though (located under "invert colors").
I'd flash the 21Q factory image. You'll have to unlock the bootloader and flash it manually. If you still have problems it could be a hardware issue.

I saw this and was wondering if it's related to your flashlight issue: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/17/lollipop-bug-leaving-the-flashlight-on-until-it-times-out-breaks-the-camera-and-flashlight-until-you-reboot/
I have a galaxy s6 edge+ with a newly installed ROM (SmokkieROMv4) which I absolutely love because it's so snappy and battery life is awesome! It's like a brand new phone. Props to the makers!
Specs:
Android 7.0
Kernel: 3.10.61 SmokkieKERNEL_v2
Build number: SMOKKIEROM V4
Phone Model: SM-G955F (Galaxy s6 Edge+
Here is my problem, everything works great besides being able to talk to people!!! If I call my voicemail it automatically hangs up after exactly 6 seconds, if I call any other numbers it has no dial tone or any noise whatsoever but I think it does connect...just no sound.
Things I've tried:
1. Factory reset
2. Clearing all app data/cache/dalvik
3. Installed various phone/contacts .apk's and set them to my default calling app, and disabled the ones it came with. I did set all the permissions for the newly installed .apks with the same results when I call someone.
4. Disabled S voice and google assistant (Unable to toggle "Ok Google detection" in the google app because it's grayed out(disabled) for some reason.
5. Tried a different ROM with 7.0
Please if anyone knows how to fix this it would be very much appreciated as I do love this new update very much and everything else works flawlessly!

Interesting... Well, atleast i now know im not the only one with this issue....
the only somewhat fix for this is(and its not really a fix) and you can actually use the phone. Is to make sure you are connected to wifi and have wifi calling enabled and set as a priority use. It really sucks cause if your on the road or not home or whatnot that wont work, obviously.. I use skype alot with my data, which is somewhat ok for me.. IDK if Whatsapp would work as a bypass or not? ive never used it so im not sure with that. But theres definitely a major glitch somewhere in the samsung software or drivers for the phone itself. Cause unlike yours, mine is stock. No root,Roms etc.. just apps..
Im running 7.0 SM-G928T
Ive also talked to the tech guys for my carrier (T-Moblie) with no prevail what-so-ever... Question, is your phone in mint condition? .
Whatsapp
Yes whatsapp does work for me and is what I have had to use the past couple of days. Everything besides the actual phone app works correctly lol. But of course after playing around some my phone screen just shot out on me for some reason. It just blinks random colors and stays black most of the time. The last app I installed was called "Root Essentials" and shortly after my phone starts doing this. I have no idea how to fix. Can't afford a new phone at the moment either. Definetely need it to work though as it is used for work. Thanks for the help anyways.
