Hi guys, need your help.
Flashed back to stock rom, stock kernel, stock everything after a long time. Problem is my wifi gives an error after flashing bravia engine/fps uncap/audio stutter fix zips. I am pretty sure I need stock Wifi modules to get it to work again (although it should be working by itself).
I checked several posts and DoomLords posts as well but the download link he provides gives an error. Bottomline is I need a proper download link for wifi modules for stock kernel. It's imperative for my work that I have working wifi tonight. Someone pls assist! Thanks! :good:

So I've recently upgraded my Japanese Xperia to Wolfbreak's ulBlDoom Rom
And the base to X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_only_kernel_baseband.
No this is causing me some trouble, No WiFi... which I think can be fixed by flashing to a different baseband (from what I've read?)
However, I can't get my phone into flash mode because the ROM seems to be blocking me...
So, can someone please tell me, either how to get the Wifi working like this, or how to get in to flash?
Thanks in advance
no you dont have to flash different baseband for wifi to work.
first of all if you have Unlocked bootloader then flash the doomkernel through flashtool.
then,
You have to flash the wifi modules from DoomKernel's thread in CWM and then it will work

To make thing much easy for you to switch different kernel i suggest you flash Stock wifi modules first before you try other kernel...this can test you phone whether wifi works on stock modules or you have to flash wifi modules to make it works....

Currently, many kernel are many errors with the wifi but only to install the Wifi modules will serve you to perfection, or use the kernel as you recomiento table. I currently use the ICS Kernel KRsH Wifi modules and serves me perfectly.:good:
problem solved i would request the moderator to close this thread.... i had actually installed mac filter on my router so wasnt able to access as my phone wasnt added there is no problem with the wifi modules
I have just aquired a xperia x10, rooted and bootloader unlocked. But since I got it (generic rom 2.3.3) wifi doesnt seem to work. It just gives me an error. I tried different roms and kernels with no success. Tried to search for similar problems and mostly its advised to install a different kernell wich I already did.
I´ve heard that I could install diferent wifi modules, but I couldnt find where they are. So I really apreciate if anyone could help me out.
Right now Im using "Achotjan_X10i_6.0.B.0.743_Light-V1" ROM with default kernel version. Base Band 2.1.71.
Regards

Yes. I flashed via recovery menu. With xrecovery and cwm, neither worked. And I am sure that installed the correct version. Now im back to generic rom with original wifi modules, so I cant figure it out why the wifi modules dont work...

I have same problem, but wifi do not work even on stock 2.3.3 rom. wifi turning on and see connections but don't connect
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29323343&postcount=5
check signature, he is using your rom problably. maybe quickfixes "kernel+wfi" mention in signature worked.
Wifi doesn't work on any ICS rom, tried different wifi-fix.zip's from various places. Tried different kernels with different roms, shuffled them almost in everyways.. Still cant get wifi to work. Only Works on stock rom with all the ics kernels and on JB-Pacman rom with Lupuskernel+lupusWifiFix.
Is there any way I can fix it? please help.!! :crying::crying:
And in many roms there is a Cybershot mod camera, It always crashes. help! :crying:
MY PHONE IS NEO L, SO PLEASE!
if it works on stock rom, try to flash stock wifi modules on the custom rom.
What I tried is just after installing JELLY SANDWICH 8.0, when WiFi wasn't working, I flashed the baseband of Stock Kernel excluding everything. The ROM didn't booted by I like experimenting
Can you tell us the specific way to flash the stock wifi modules ? Because I only have the stock kernel ftf.

wifi error
i don't know why but my wifi is not working its due to the fact i flashed a custom kernel with cwm recovery tool and it was a rooted kernel. I also rebooted several times but my wifi still says error. I looked for a stock kernel.sin flashed it the wifi is still not working so after flashing the kernel.sin i then tried a hard reset. Now my question if i reinstall 2.3.4 is that the only way il be able to get my wifi working again or isn't there a shorter method because im sure if i reinstall the phones firmware that should get my wifi working again any ideas ? by the way i havn't installed any custom rom i was about to but the wifi issue is a problem
solved on my own
