How do I set them to be two different wallpapers like you could before 4.3? It used to be under settings>customize but that menu isn't even there anymore. Would appreciate any alternatives if they removed the feature.
There's never been an option to do that as far as I know, unless you're using a lockscreen app like Widget Locker
Android doesn't allow separate wallpapers like that, only custom launchers like TW or Chameleon, etc. or if you use a lockscreen app..
Because Sense is an only slightly modified version of stock Android (when it comes to system settings like that), they do not offer this option.
Correct me if I'm wrong?
You could do it before, I think it was a Sense 5 feature. But now, HTC removed that option in Sense 5.5

Thank you for the response I was a afraid they removed it from sense 5.5. Ah well, now to see if there's another way to duplicate that feature...
No, I think you're confused.
We're still on Sense 5, and you could never do that. You don't have Sense 5.5 unless you're on a custom ROM.
I live in Romania, today I updated the phone to 4.3 and Sense 5.5. I can disable BlinkFeed
This is how you could do it before the update, now the option is gone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ba51HBcBz8Y

This is the T-Mobile HTC One forum, and we don't (and never have had) that option.

@OP,
After updating to 4.3 last night I gave this a try and I still have this option available to do custom Lock Screen WP and Home Screen WP. Maybe its an issue with your phone? are you rooted and custom stock ROM?
I too flashed my HTC One to Android 4.3 Sense 5.5 and now lost this feature, please help.

There's no help, it's just gone. Maybe some devs will be able to tweak something and allow us to change them again, but for now it's just not possible.

Hmm...
Yes, I noticed this feature had disappeared today when my phone upgraded to Sense 5.5 and Android 4.3. Although I couldn't see anything that it was going to do this prior to the upgrade, there only seems to be limited information about what the upgrade actually changes.
Since they got rid of the feature to display Owner Information on the lock screen in case I misplace my (really quite expensive!) phone, and also sealed the battery inside the HTC one so I can't stick a business card in there with my contact details so that if somebody finds my phone, they might just be able to return it to me, I used the Lock Screen wallpaper to put my owner information on that screen.
Now this is gone too... sigh.
It would seem that there's no reason for getting rid of this, other than perhaps certain mobile operators do not want customers to remove their logo or advertising from the lock screen every time they get their phone out of their pocket, you have to be advertised at. Otherwise, why the hell remove this functionality?
Seems paying lots of money for a handset even without a contract to a particular network doesn't escape you from this crapness.

I had a go to nexify and slim down Modaco's Desiree ROM
So i removed:
All HTC widgets
Rosie
HTC dialer
HTC calendar
HtC stockr
HTC weather
And loads other stuff,
added
modded launchers
Wysie's Contacts
Modded some icons and statusbar drawer
CorpCal
and some more bits and pieces
Modaco et al shall have all cred for the desire ROM.
Have a go and report your findings.
And remember: it's alfa based on a alfa...

but keeping the widgets such as the mail, music player, calender etc...?
also, does this ROM include the nice select text feature similar to the desire rom?

I try to nexify the the desire rom. All htc apps is heavily integrated to the desire frame so i guess its difficult to get them running in stock nexus roms
does Flash Work? also, does "more soon" mean the ROM isn't ready for us to flash yet? I don't see a download link.
i also noticed that desire has better exchange integration. if anyone figures out a way to get the exchange apk or mail apk or whatever controls that onto a cyan rom that would be great.
I'm definitely interested in what you come up with!
Why not just use a homescreen replacement...like Home++ so you don't have most of SenseUI? The apps aren't drastically different, the biggest difference is the homescreen imo.

Few reasons: Speed, Home++ and other home replacement have issues and features i dont like. And its fun to mod android
Update: still working to solve some graphic glitches in my morph.

Maybe i will post a barebone stipped ROM if anyone wants it.
Is there any way to get this back without rooting the phone?
Thanks,

Friend Stream is really kind of weird as with Task Manager. They are listed in Titanium Backup as apps so we know they are there, but there is no related application listed in the application launcher. They both may be embedded in another application somewhere. Kind of like what they do for the music app...open it and you'll see streaming radio etc.
It's still there. I can get to it through the twitter widget. It will even show FB. However, the combined widget seems to be removed for some reason.

Hmm. Doesn't seem to be working. I added it in to /system/app and I don't see anything. So I then changed permissions to mirror all of the other widgets and I still don't see it. For the heck of it I tried to install it but that didn't work either. Probably something simple I'm missing.

So can someone share with me how to add this to the stock Droid Incredible 4G LTE ROM without rooting the phone? Hello Guys, I've searched through all threads about the friend stream, and there is not much documented on how to access it. A poster on this thread mentioned the Twitter Sense app. Another said that there is no dedicated app in the app tray to launch it, but it is there. HTC just made it hard to access. If the following had been mentioned before, I apologize, I did do a search, but found nothing.
From what I've figured, using the search function within the App Tray, came up with zero results. Using the Google search widget....I typed in "Friend Stream", and lo and behold, the app shows up (App icon being the two white silhouettes of people on a Blue background). Click on it and it is the Friend Stream app.
Access to Friend Stream is also imbedded in another widget. It is called the Social Clock. I accidentally stumbled into this while searching through the whole list of available widgets. It pretty much is the HTC signature clock, but without the date and weather. It is just the time and below the time, the most recent status update from your Facebook feed. Clicking on this part of the widget will get you into the Friend Stream app.
I hope that this helps. One of the great things I think a lot of people liked about the Friend Stream widget from before, was that you were able to update a status directly through the widget without going into a separate app, just right there on the widget. Another, is the unique tag that HTC phone users are given underneath their status update, letting people know that HTC Sense was used.
I might make a new thread, explaining these methods, so that many Inc 4G users will know how to do this, until a Rom makes the widget available or for those who choose to stay with the stock Rom. I'm getting the impression, that not many know of this and are just using the stock FB app. Lemme know if this works for you guys!
I would also be interested in knowing how to get the friendstream widget
Can anyone reccomend an app that offers a similar facebook/twitter widget?
Has anyone figured out how to get the widget back? That is my favorite part of FriendStream.
Thanks guys!
New Dinc 4Glte user missing frienstream widget. I was able to find it through the instructions from ColdWraith but HTC really??
Also, there is a Friendstream lock screen wallpaper. The widget is embedded on the lock screen. It only shows Facebook updates for me unlike the old widget which showed a combination of streams.

I am one of the guys who contributed on the Sony Ericsson infobar thread. I honestly don't think this launcher have sense dependencies as the phone looks completely sense free and companies like au by kddi love to keep their things the way its supposed to when it comes to flagship devices I.e. their own launcher , software and restrictions.. I will take a look at the files of the a02 but as far as I remember the launcher from the previous a01 did not have dependencies at all aside the launcher itself needing APks to properly work. Nothing to do with framework.

The menus, settings, and status bar all look very sense like to me. . .
Lockscreen, widgets, and music player do too. . .
Well the ui is called officially iida ui and its kddi's own interface, for the phone to have sense ui then that would mean iida(au design part) would not have any input with the design, the previous phone had also some icons that resemble HTC but the phone was sharp and most importantly there were no dependencies with the launcher.
Let's be positive and hopefully it will work.

i hope you can get it working. i'd love to use this on mine
out of the box the apps don't install, it seems like they need to be decompiled and resigned so ill use apk multitool tomorrow to figure out if it works, let's be positive and hopefully it will work so far i can confirm htc garbageware present on the apps folder but the launcher itself and the applications needed are stand alone for example the apps to install to make the launcher initialize are iida_home and iida_widget_home those 2 are the launcher as a "whole". it will give you 2 options one screen for widgets and one with the tiles but i was not able to confirm this as i couldn't install the apps.
will check tomorrow. good night guys.
So as you im sure you can tell from the title of this post I'm interested in finding out if its possible/ different ways to run Just Jelly Bean 4.1.1 untouched on HTC One X+. I just bought one 3 days ago and havn't so much as even put a sim card in it yet because I can't stand the sight of that big bulky HTC sense look (4+). I've searched for many ways to disable or uninstall Sense to get the phone back to how jelly bean looks but the closest I've come across is the rom cleaner, but before I do all 50 steps to use rom cleaner I was wondering if anyone has heard or knows how to install and just 4.1.1 with out all the pre installed apps and w/e else is in there that I don't want - but I figure Its easier to just start from pure android os and add-on whatever I want after then to use rom cleaner and try to figure out what I want and don't want and what will effect what. Yes I have searched for days and have not found the answer to "how to just install/run 4.1.1 unskinned" I know there are launchers in the play store but that dosnt fix the lockscreen and Im not trying to add more im trying to just as simple as you slap a windows disk into a computer and there is nothing on it when its done installing > but to the phone
I have seen several similar things online but they are for other android phones I have not found one for htc, but I don't need to find one for just htc just the plain original "rom" from android of 4.1.1 which I can't seem to find by it self either. any help or info please and thank you and hopfuly we have more how to comments then why or else if comments about (I don't care if the sky is baby blue #130459 I still call it light blue)

There are Cyanogenmod roms available for your phone. Why not use those?
mmm..nnah im trying not to have to cook or customize anything just if I could find the original jelly bean rom or something before stuff was added cuz I've used it before but on a virtual box on my pc and I like it a lot with just what it comes with - I was able to uninstall the htc lock screen and i use the 4.1 launcher from the play store but still no peace of mind that there isn't unneeded file on the phone still
For years developers have sought a clean way of merging HTC Sense features with AOSP. In most cases it involves installing alternate launchers and widgets from the Play Store. HTC has now released Blinkfeed as a download now for certain devices. The DNA doesn't seem to make the cut according to the apps' lack of appearance in the Play Store but seems to work fine on Carbon. I will update the compatibility list as time progresses or pull if people report problems.
If you're running AOSP and miss Blinkfeed, try the apk's. (Note: the Blinkfeed launcher will replace any other homescreen replacement app currently in use. The HTC service pack apk is a prerequisite.

Will this also work if I flash it on top of Nusense Max Sense 5.5 Given its already HTC would the service pack prerequisite still be required, etc. I like the look of the One Max layout but wldnt mind to have the Sense6 Blinkfeed.

There is no flashing of anything. The apks are installed within Android OS. You can try to install them and report back. Try blinkfeed only first and see if it works, it will tell you if you need an updated HTC services app.
[HTC One X] Content is not available
Hi xlxcrossing,
I got it installed on my HOX, however, anytime I tap on add content, the content tab appears for a glance and then be kicked out to the blink feed page without any feed :crying:.
Does it happen on any other devices and how could I fix it?
Cheers,

I'm experiencing similar issues as well as force closes. Blinkfeed usually installs and begins working properly but eventually becomes incompatible. I may need to update the OP to reflect this.
Same thing...Has there been no fix? Running Liquid Smooth 3.2 on HTC One Android 4.4.4 I really like Blinkfeed hate that its not available on AOSP. Installed the .apk files and then when that didnt work tried to d/l from play store it said my phone wasnt compatible.
help
Apk of htc blinkfeed and htc service pack 01/08/2014.
thanks
FYI if installed on a larger device like my LG G3, the apps are not arranged correctly on homescreens, they are bunched up in the corned as if on a smartphone screen rather than a tablet.
This is awesome! The only problem I'm running across is that the weather clock (Sense 7) doesn't give my location or update the weather. I have the HTC location services installed and GPS on and it don't show up in accounts.
UPDATE: I now have this running 100%,just took a little extra time and a few additional files not found here. If you want/like Blinkfeed and don't want to have to load your phone up with Sense 6 or 7, this is the route to take. If anyone needs any help, just send me a PM and I'll do the best I can.

What were the additional files needed? I'm looking to install Blinkfeed on my stock Nexus 6.

The files I needed were for the location and weather which were the only parts of blinkfeed not operating properly until I got those two files which I Googled (I believe I found them on Aptoide). If I feel a little better later today or tomorrow I'll post which version of each of the files that I'm using.
