Random rebooting - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Much friend has a sk17i mini pro. . And I had rooted her phone , she had gone back to her home country, where the phone started a very fast battery draining problem and since I wasn't there to help her , she took it to the service center where the person there had flashed a stock rom , but her phone after that started random rebooting and is getting worse now.. When I checked under About in Settings - under model it says Sk17a which is not the proper one right? .. could the random rebooting be because of this? If I root it , will this problem stop?
I also want the root the phone now , it has an unlocked bootloader so if I just flash mesa kernel its enough right?.. and I can flash another rom just like that right? ..

[Q] [Xperia U] Signal Drop Problems

Hi guys
Yesterday I bought an Xperia U. Right out of the box it said it needed an update to the firmware so I did that to .184. I then noticed I was suffering signal drop issues anytime I handled the phone, and also when wireless was turned on.
I have googled a lot over the last 24 hours and used sony update service twice to flash the phone and it updated to ICS 4.0.4. But the issue still remains.
I have tried and tried to resolve this by following various ideas touted over at talk sony etc and it's all been to no avail. I am getting very frustrated with the signal issue and so a friend who has had a lot of help here re his S2 and S3 phones suggested I come over and ask. So here I am. What can I do? It is not a contract phone so no returns allegedly, plus the fact this issue seems quite common makes me think a return to shop or even to Sony will not remedy it. Please help :/
EDIT: I tried to repair phone via PCC and it changed the build number to 6.1.1.B.1.10
If its not happening officially
Try it unofficially
Download official ftf for st25i in xperia u development section
Flash via flashtool
Uncheck wipe data
Check exclude ta
Check no final verification

[SOLVED][Q] Xperia Mini Pro bootloop

I have a rooted xperia mini pro ICS. One day i switched the bluetooth suddenly the screen blank and phone restarted. After the xperia anim comes it restarted again. It went on happening again and again. I flashed GB FW on it then root and upgraded to ICS. Still i got this problem.
Bugs i noticed.
1. The ringtone changes on its own. Any random music file is set as ringtone.
2. Images' thumbnail in gallery is different to the real image. Images i deleted long time ago are appearing instead of images that are in my phone.
Any help?
1.I dont know why
2. I think rescaning media will solve this problem. I recommend using the app from google play you just need to search media rescan and the first one from the result is the app you are looking for...
I hope it helped you

Ok, flashing the stock rom using flash tools. I'll look for a tutorial. Will I be able to keep using my phone with the alternate service provider?
Thank you all ;D

Have you tried a diffrent battery??
Might be a hardware problem. But Samsung wont help since you messed up the software. Can you explain more in detail so we can know more about your situation?
Thanks.

i can't explain more because that hasn't been happening with me , it happened in my friend's hands and he said that
He pulled the battery out without shutting down the device and when plugged in the phone haven't been recognising the sim card then it doesn't want to boot up at all , when he gave it to me to try to fix , i plugged it in charge and it booted for 3 or 4 secs showing " battery is charging " image , i tried to flash stock rom via odin but that haven't helped at all , i hope i'm clearer now

(Q) WT19i bricked, dont know what to do!

Hi ! I got a wt19i Locked bootloader, no root. One day started rebooting over and over again. I tried flashing ICS generic and the resets stopped but only if I plugged the cellphone with the 220v charger. I tried flashing with flashtool other TFT, GB 42,58, ics .. all of these ones:
WT19i_4.1.B.0.587_Generic
WT19i_4.1.B.0.431_Generic
Xperia_2011_Range_FreeXperia_ALL (this is supposed to unbrick anything)
WT19i_4.0.2.A.0.58_(1254-1868)
Now the cellphone wont go through the sony logo.. I tried flashing lot of tft with flashtool but nothing seems to work...
also tried SUS, PC companion but nothing works.. Light led still working, i can connect it in flash mode so i have a hope for now.. Can it be fixed?? Any help?? No idea of cmw because i never did that...
Thanks in advance!!

That's wrong. You can flash the stock rom ftf on a locked and an unlocked bootloader
Have you tried changing the battery? Maybe the reboots are power issues? Maybe try a battery you can borrow from a friend and reflash the stock rom
