Moto X Flashable zip of Verizon 139.15.1.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US build
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
It is the same build as after installing October 2013 OTA update for Verizon with camera improved.
This is a flashable zip of the system and boot.img. All other partitions (bootloader, modem, logo etc.) will NOT be modified.
It have to be installed (flashed) in CWM or TRWP - this mean that unlocked bootloader is required.
How to install:
1. Make full backup in CWM or TRWP of your current ROM
2. Wipe dalvik cache and cache in recovery
3. Flash in CWM or TRWP
4. Reboot
What is doing during installations:
1. Format system partition
2. Copy system files to system partition
3. Flash boot.img
This means that your data, bootloader, modem, logo etc. remain not modified

Pardon my ignorance with deodex'd vs. not.. assuming nothing special needs to be done pre-flash for a deodexed rom, correct?
i'm on a vzw dev edition with the bootloader unlocked.
thanks.
Does anyone have any insight into how we can disable the tethering subscription check? I tried modifying the framework-res.apk (changing one line of code) and that sent me into a bootloop.

Please pardon my ignorance, as well, but since the modem is not modified we will then not experience the improved 4g to WiFi handoffs and other improvements of that nature? Just the camera improvements? Thanks in advance for your help.

At this point the only way to get the improvements is to take the OTA (by force or otherwise). Or you could wait for the FXZ of the update to be released so you could fastboot flash the modems.

Doubt it. They probably asked the mods to close it to prevent unnecessary chatter. You know people complaining about them not having the latest firmware and asking for etas.

Had to use this to flash recovery on the fiance's phone. The zip would not flash properly when the bootloader started. Doing the commands manually didn't work, it would sit there saying the flashing was in process for a few minutes without ever finishing.

So from what I can see, the advantage of this ROM is that it deletes rather than disables the bloat. But the downside is that it crashes when you use the Market?
I am now unlocked and rooted, so I will continue to use the VZW ROM, but with all bloat and Sense removed until such time as an ICS based ROM comes out.

I think we are getting confused here. I think you are confusing CleanTOOL with CleanFLASH. Can you confirm?
So after I unlock my phone with HTCDev, I use this tool to flash a recovery or something?
Haha I am very new to this, wish there was a chatroom or something
As stated in title this is the untouched official Manual OTA (update.zip) file pulled from /cache/fota/ for build version VRUEMJ7.

K... Guess that had issues with Odin. Here's how I did it...
Odin this modem/apnhlos: http://invisiblek.org/sch-i545/firmware/jfltevzw_MI1_fw.tar.md5
Then patch it via recovery with this: http://invisiblek.org/sch-i545/firmware/MI1_to_MJ7_modem_patch.zip
We'll have an actual Odin flashable once we acquire a full tar.
FYI with that apnhlos you won't have audio on AOSP roms until tomorrow's build of cm (for you MDK'ers out there)

Invisiblek,
Did you actually get those files to flash in odin? I looked at them and they are still padded so I assumed they wouldn't pass in odin because they wouldn't appear as signed. Using your modified method you mentioned, afterwards someone could dd their modem.bin partition to their sdcard and then upload it and one of us just has to trim the file and it would be the same as a modem.bin from an odin tar I believe, this is essentially how I created the modem.bin for OYUAMDK

The list could go on for about 2-3 more points but I'm lazy! (forgetful)
The updater will tell you when there is a new update and will take you to this post to find out about it.

So do I have to do something to fix the bootloop issue? Also why is that so? You need to have a bricked phone before you could make a patched bootloader.

wipe data factory reset(data, dalvik and cache)
that fixes the bootloop!
and modifying the bootloader is quite risky, if you do something wrong it could fail to write, fastboot and adb can fail to operate, cauld cause major issues that are un repairable without riffbox etc.. and even sometimes that doesnt work...
looks good, but bugs as above..
so pls solve them soon

Do we need 20 toolkits doing the same stuff? People need to learn what they are doing. With the rise of kits there is a rise in bricked phones for stupid reasons. People flashing cm kernels on non cm roms because they have no idea.
One kit is enough stop reinventing the wheel. Put your skills to something more useful.

That's funny. So you revived a 4 month old Dead Thread for what?? So we could hear your useless stupid rants about a contribution that someone wanted to make, an area which you have failed to achieve. If people don't read and know what they are doing then that is their fault, not someone who wanted to learn and or grow his skills by creating a toolkit. Put your skills to something useful and release something of your own, don't go being critical trying to revive old threads for no reason; and complaining about toolkits all over various Nexus 5 threads. Grow Up!

I got my towelroot on nice and tight, because I had a loose towelroot once and it fell of and crashed my phone.
This will be what the G900F international version got about two weeks ago. People report better performance, but it's all unverified claims like always around here. My guess is, and it's just a guess, that this will close the towelroot kernel exploit and get pushed as 'performance' so people update which is a good thing since technically it could be exploited for bad scary things!
edit: The official documentation from T-Mobile is live: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10398 -- and nothing worth reporting. Still lists VoLTE as new but that was the previous update.
ok i just did the up date with mobile odin pro and after reboot i still have towel root working so that is a good thing now to see what is this performance up grade.oh when you do the up date you will need to run su to update binary again.
Put the .tar file SD card. or phone storage
Open Mobile Odin pro.
Scroll down to open file. Press it.
Chose the .tar file.
Checked Enable EverRoot and Inject Superuser.
I choose to wipe dalvik cache which is optional.
Clicked flash firmware and that's it!
you will also need to download the bootloader+modem tar and flash them with odin-3.09 from pc.link to tar are here make sure you use the G900T for t-mobile
Good luck.

Performance update. It's the same thing the G900F got a while back. This actually isn't too long of a wait...good job tmobile.
For anyone who updated, what's the total RAM available in the task manager? NF6 was 1.81 GB, the international NG2 update (and ktoonsez new update) have 1.67, apparently more RAM is dedicated to the GPU now. I haven't really noticed a difference when ktoonsez included that change...

Confirmed root is preserved via mobile odin pro - only thing bootloader is not updated..still shows NF6.
Everything went smooth. One flash. One time. Still rooted.

Anyone else notice download speeds took a dive again, as happened with a previous update? If I'm not mistaken they released an update that restored the download speeds back to normal.

Q and A - Read it!
Q1. What are the prerequisites to flash this?
A. You must be unlocked with TWRP recovery and latest 5.0.1 based firmware. Other recoveries may work but are not supported.
Q2. I got TWRP and I am unlocked, where do I get the firmware?
A. Post #3!
Q3. I flashed this ROM and it still says the phone is encrypted! Why?
A. The ROM will not decrypt the phone on its own. To do that you need to pull everything off storage (if you want to keep it!) and then do a "/data" wipe in Recovery. Then when you reboot you will be decrypted and can copy over what you want!
Q4. Who is this ROM for?
A. Its for the Home-brew enthusiast that wants to make a ROM for themselves. Its for developers that want to build a ROM for the community but may not have access to a complete untouched file set. Its for that guy that forgot to make a Nandroid back up!
Q5. Who is this ROM not for?
A. Crack Flashers. You will not get a flash high from this ROM. Its stock rooted!
Q6. Why doesn't it have any mods? All the other ROMS have xxxxx
A. Its a stock ROM!
Q7. Is the tether hacked?
A. Yes, It should be...
Q8. Can I still enable Encryption?
A. Yep!
Q9. OMG, the Carrier files downloaded!
A. What all did you expect its a Stock ROM!
Q10. Thanks for making this ROM for us! How can I contribute without any low level knowledge of Android?
A. Simple! Make a small (or large) donation to the donate link. Alternatively if you have decent shaped, newer high end, equipment you can spare that would be great too! We can spread the love to other devices!
Thanks
@Chainfire for root!
@Stericson for busybox!
@Cybertronicz for tether hack!
@WugFresh for his un-encrypted boot image which I "diffed" to find out how to decrypt!
@Flar2 for init.d support which I "diffed" to find out how to add properly!
@joeldroid for his de-odex tool HERE!

The calm before the cleanrom storm. I know how this works stock rooted first then building cleanrom off this base . I've seen this before lol jk. Great I've been waiting to have a flashable stock rooted ROM other than Google's image.

Many thanks! I'm that guy that forgot to do a Nandroid of Stock.
Probably a dumb question but I'm on stock 5.0.rooted.recovery.and decrypted. Can I flash this over that setup? Just curious because you mentioned I needed 5.0.1 firmware.

You can remove the decrypted boot.img.
Just unzip the file using 7zip or something simipar and then rezip it. That's what I do except that I remove the decrypted boot.img and replace it with the stock boot.img since I'm still encrypted.
Followed on gs3 then gs4 then note 3 glad to see you on Nexus !! Thanks scrosler !!

Worked for me too without issues (coming from 5.0)
Surprised by AT&T apps after flashing. Is AT&T paying you too.
Thank you for this and can't wait for CleanRoms.
Thanks for posting this, i was wondering when someone was gonna do it. It's usually one of the first type of roms to pop up when a new phone is released.
Well hello sir! Glad you came over to the Nexus 6 game! Had your ROMs during the G2 days! Gonna flash yours once again!

NO, that is your OEM partition in action. You could edit out part of the build prop to stop that from happening but... I wanted to keep it as close to stock as I could sans Root, Busybox, and Decryption. Oh and tether!

Yeah, I learned that the stock based ROMS for this phone are tricky! I see why no one has done one.
I restored my stock, rooted 5.0 backup and flashed this on top of it and it works great!
