Jeans w/ Pocket for Galaxy Note - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

Any suggestions on a pair of jeans with a cell phone pocket big enough for the galaxy note?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

Stop wearing skinny jeans and you shouldn't have a problem.

I don't put my wallet on my back pocket (bad for your posture), so I'm looking for a third front pocket that will work.

I wear some carpenter jeans that have a side pocket just barely big enough for it, they are Lee's

There is a middle pocket with a zipper on most jeans. I would try that

If it doesn't HAVE to be jeans, I saw a pair of Carhartt pants yesterday with a pocket on the right thigh that seemed OK. My Note 3 still stuck out about 1/4 inch. I didn't try it in a regular pocket, but it might fit, work pants are usually made with generous pockets.
They also sell some with a "cell phone pocket".

Most resellers have their stuff at lower prices, typically 20 or 25% off.

Really? How is this a real topic? Shouldn't this be in a Gap forum?
How does anyone have a problem putting this phone in jeans?

No problem fitting them into any the brands I wear (True Religion, G-Star, Hudson, 7). It even fits into a my girlfriends back pocket on her True Religion's and those have an extremely small pocket. I can't imagine any pair of men's jeans is going to have a problem fitting the Note 3 in it honestly.

The pockets of some jeans are plenty big, but I'm used to pulling my phone out with most of my fingers and a thumb all at once. This phone is large enough that I sometimes only get a grip with a couple of fingers on it. It means I have to be more careful, and sooner or later I'll probably drop it.
I'll adjust, but I can see why some folks will spend a little time taking this into consideration

Seriously ? I don't have any issues throwing in the N3 in any of my jeans' pockets... Levis ; Guess ; Banana Republic et all .. I don't buy the ' tapered ' or ' slim ' fit ones... mostly, straight or boot leg [ 32 x 34 ]

I must not be explaining myself very well.
Looking for something like this with a pocket big enough for the G-Note 3. Note the pocket a little above the knee on the side. I have some of these currently but they are barely big enough for the G-Nexus.

This is just .... wow .... Holy cow ... either your wallet is incredibly strong or your posture is incredibly weak
anyways I wear Dickies and the side pocket is perfect...
Falls right in there without a case... fits good with Spigen ultra fit... tight with Spigen bounce
More than enough depth too
that outside, half pocket is perfect for my spare battery... These jeans are made for this phone
EDIT: well I'll be darned... i just Googled that whole wallet/posture thing and it's a... thing ... i had no idea... so yeah... don't sit on your wallet I guess

I asked Carhartt about the pants and shorts that call the extra pocket specifically a "cell phone pocket".
They said:
" Thank you for your interest in Carhartt. The Size of the cell pockets on style#100634, #100276 & B372 are 4 ½" wide with the pocket bag being 6" deep."
That sounds like the opening is 4 1/2" and the inside height is 6". The phone just under 6 1/2" with a Poetic bumper or Neo Hybrid, so I'm going to find a pair of that slacks

I wear skinny jeans... And my Note 3 fits perfectly in my pockets.
That said, I did extend my pockets by about 15cm². Women's jeans have miniscule pockets you can't even fit a scrap of paper in. I've been extending the pockets of my jeans since my first smartphone, because even my HD2 didn't fit in any.
Maybe it doesn't look all that flattering, a silly 5.7" bulge on your left hip. But that's not my problem. I don't have to look at it.

Can we please get this thread locked? Xda is not old navy.

Awesome Rubber grip stickers! UPDATED W/ PICS!!

I had just bought the speck case for my note and really loved the case except that it was totally smooth plastic on the back and sides (Hard to hold with one hand}. And for those of you who have never dealt with the no rubber smooth back it gets really slippery especially if your hands are wet or oily. I was thinking about putting some sort of grip tape on the back to make up for the lack of rubber and i came across this gem http://geckostrips.com/shop#ecwid:category=426719&mode=category&offset=0&sort=normal There is a video review on it and it looks bad ass, seems to work great and is perfect for any application. I just ordered a 12 pc universal, as soon as i put it on ill post some pics . it was $18 with shipping.
Update- just put the stickers on and they feel great and they don't add bulk to the case. great solution if you love a case that doesn't have rubber on it. very grippy .

Flex, I followed your lead!
I got some of these strips 3 days ago and they arrived today too. I have a flip case with a smooth plastic back. Better grip than a naked phone, but it will still slip off of tables, counters, benches. I read several sad tales of new notes already falling off of surfaces cause they slipped. Laugh all you want at the "duct tape" look, but safer is better than sorrier.
I am all about getting value for your money, so I went under clearance section for bargains. I got a clear iphone set for $4.00, an autism ribbon for $2, and a grab bag of 10 stickers for $5. These are advertising overruns with black, white, and red backgrounds. They were OOS on my pink breast cancer ribbon. So for a grand total of $11 I can put the clear iphone set on my naked note. I used the corners on the back of the note instead of the front where they have them on the instructions. It just gives your fingers something to grip while holding the phone to your ear. I have the autism ribbon in the center of the back and a general black one across the samsung logo. It feels good in the hand, and it will not slip off a table. And it is aesthetically pleasing. When I get ambitious I will cut the large iphone section into strips for the sides.
These stickers are so thin it slips right into my case. Now this is not too pretty on the back. I have advertising stickers on the back of the case- 3 down the center and one cut into 3 pieces to cover the 3 corners- leaving the speaker corner bare. This phone is not going anywhere in the case or out of it. Best $16 i spent- ($5 for shipping- that kills me, but it did arrive in 3 days- their cheapest method).
I have enough left over for the wallet case coming from hong kong.
They will keep your phone on the dash of your car, or on the seat next to you.
Great find Flex! Thank you.

How long did they last on average for you? They remove easily enough if there is a small amount of texture to the surface. The back of my case can be repositioned easily.
Usually a month or 2 before they started to peel off. Depends on the use though.

I just ordered and recieved mine. I bought 2, 5piece kits in black for. 98/ea off ebay. I used all 10 pieces. They are the eGrips brand and it seems as though they haven't changed in the last 6 years since I've used them last. They are great for anything that requires grip. I'm using a cheap $5 snap on case thats smooth so these help. I'll post pics in a few. I still love my Bodyglove case. It's a hard two-piece case the perfectly slips over the phone. The red looks really nice. I've had it for a short while, still like it. Dropped the phone a few times no damage. Although once on a hardwood floor the bottom of the case popped off (kind of like when you drop a phone by itself the battery cover pops off).
Here's the original thread about it...

I'd like one too. I usually use the silicon one from VZ if I have one on but I can't stand how cheap it is. And I wouldn't mind one that's thinner too. Really just to protect against scratches and keep the camera lense off of the surface or a table lol. This phone feels great without a case, not so great with one. Does anyone know the thickness of the silicon ones? I see that the seidio cases are 2.0 - 2.2 mm thick

It's very good quality. It's a two-piece design that slide and lock together so it will not fall off when dropped. Also, there is felt on the inside of the case so your phone doesn't get scratched.

Dust issues on s3

Hello,
I am having issues with dust particles under the glass with my S3. The S3 is 10 days old and it really frustates me that there are already dust particles underneath the glass.
However it only shows up around the homebutton, front speaker and a line under the glass it really bugs me because the phone is really expensive.
I have also mailed samsung and otherwise I will go to my phone company.
In the picture you can see where the problem is.
Am I the only one ?
Thomas.

My galaxy s3 also collects dusts but it is on the sides of the screen where there is a thin gap between the glass panel and the bezel.
I Hoover and dust mine once a day while listening to Burt Bacharach and wearing an apron....I find this sorts the problem whilst being very therapeutic

if you want no dust then keep your phone in a clean room. It's a device, it has seems and crevasses just like any other device.. If I look at the seems of my tablets or my laptops I'm always going to find a little dust accumulation somewhere. to sit and cry about dust accumulating in the little crevasses is just ridiculous.

It's not faulty! christ.. it's a fu**king seem! what dont you get from that? It's two separate pieces. To think there wont be a seem where dust will accumulate is just plain stupid. Just because a few people with MAJOR ocd and I say major because I have OCD and I'm not obsessing over a stupid little space where the screen and trim meet. How else could they have done it? Made it so the glass covered the bezel? come on... it's just plain ridiculous.
Ahem... seam. ..jk
And OP.. I was just saying it shouldn't be getting full of dust unless you dont use it or it sits in a dusty room. And my second comment was in agreement with the number of complaint threads we've seen.. that's all. Nobody was being ignorant

With Note 2 screen protector installed
No cases at my store, I'll check other stores tomorrow but thats the style I like except I want a kickstand on it, I'll take whatever they have for protection and exchange it when more come in I guess. I loved the Body Glove Fusion with Durastand i had on my G2
I have the same case on mine. i also had it on the note 2 but it had a glossy shine to it.i dropped my phone several times and nothing happened to my phone. i really like these cases but i wish they were clear like the one on my wifes s4 not this grey color.tech 21 i found to be really durable.

Looks nice, will you consider has cover case? Can has better protection for the LCD.
I bought same one. It OK. Not a big fan of it. Need more protection.

I bought this one as well. I actually like it a lot. It's a bit expensive at this point but i have 30 days to decide if i want it or not. It does offer good protection though.

i purchased one with the note 3. it's actually really nice.
I almost bought it but I decided against it. I talked to some ATT store people today and they will have different cases tomorrow so I'll wait to see what they have before I make a decision.

My brother has this Tech21 case on his Note2, and the buttons are a ***** to press. A little overpriced too, for what it is (simply TPU), imo.
Does it make the phone a lot wider in comparison to a naked device. With the Tech21 on my S4, the phone gains about a cm in width and height.

I have one in blue. I like the body glove case I saw but I am not convinced that the screen will survive a corner drop in it. I'm hoping Ballistic, Otterbox, or someone that focuses on corner protection releases something soon.

Returning mine later today Just ordered a spigen case.
It's not a bad temporary case but not worth the 35 dollar price tag

Yes it does! LOL
That's exactly why I'm returning mine. The case itself and protection is fine. It makes it too tall and wide. I like the thin-ness just as with the S4 but it's that girth that's really annoying.
I also didn't like how the bottom cutouts felt while holding

I have this case. Buttons are awkward, but it is all they have in TMO.. I tiwll do until my neo hybrid comes in hte mail. A lil pricey to.

I just went to best buy to see if they had any cases to which they did not but a sales associate told me that he saw someone that had the Platinum case holster combo that they had gotten from the best buy mobile store in the mall so that's where I went. Upon arriving I asked their associate if they had any cases for the note 3 and he said no that they probably wouldn't have any in for a week or two. I told him that the associate at the big store said that I should come there because he knew someone that had gotten one from there. So he says no but I'll check. About a minute later he come from the back with a case and tells me it's the only one he had so I was in luck. So I took my other case back and am rocking this until the Ballistic hardcore is released or I may just keep this. I like a lot of protection but I hate how it bulks up the phone. I also hate putting things in my pockets so I'm a holster guy.

I bought a 'tank' of a case lol but I don't mind that it is bulky, because I know that my G3 is well protected ?

Here is one of my four cases Spigen Slim Armor in gunmetal. I need more cases, having options is nice. The photo quality isn't great but it was taken with my wife's S5.

Im currently using the Verus Iron Shield and I really like it a lot. It's so elegant and slim. I was using the Spigen's slim armor in electric blue before

Yes I have it since day 3 of having my G3.
I would say it adds about 5mm to thickness, 4mm to height and 4mm to height.
I have small hands but it feels fine for me and the outside finish makes gripping it really easy, I would have to be really clumsy to drop it. Forget 1 handed usage though unless you have some big ass hands.
My only negative feedback would be the screen cover, it's awesome that it covers the screen and protects it and it is not a flimsy thing,it is really well constructed, but as everyone knows when it comes to screen protectors and covers it is hard to find the ones that don't affect visibility. Not to say that this one does, I feel like I can see everything fine however in direct sunlight you will see the cover, I don't know how to explain what you see, but just to say that you will notice the cover in direct sunlight.
On another note,I haven't felt that the screen cover is affecting the sensitivity in any way, it is responding better than I thought it might.
And finally, the usb and headphone covers are a bit hard to open, but that's because they seal so good. I like having these covers because I remember from all my other mobiles how lint, dust and all manner of things sometimes land up in these holes.
Cheap case, very good protection is all I can say.

Link to the Supcase. I'd buy it but it doesn't allow my aux cable for my car to fit into the port. -_-

Will post pictures later, I'm not at home and will borrow my dad's nexus 5 to take them. I really like it a lot, since I'm a reseller of cases I buy lots of cases every week and the best cases I've tested are slim armor and iron shield.

Some pics of different Verus cases. Will post better later. Using the iron shield is like having a Neo Hybrid in steroids, design is really well made with those little dots around the back and the aluminum frame, its very slim so it doesn't add any bulk to the G3.
My personal top 5:
Verus Iron shield
Spigen Slim Armor
Ringke Slim Fit Black
Spigen Ultra Hybrid
Ringke Fusion Smoke Black
Tempered Glass:
iCarez Pro
Nillkin Amazing H+
Spigen Glas.tR
