[Q] Adding ROM Features with Git - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't need a how to or anything just clarification. Say I had Cyanogenmod and wanted to add Halo from PA. Is it as easy as going into git and taking the commits from PA and syncing them into my project? I know I'm using the wrong terminology but I'm trying to create my own personal ROM and would like to add features but I'm a noob

Q about msm triple framebuffer

Hello all. Is any of our x10i JB kernel devs aware of this or is it okay/normal that we not have it in there stated.
I saw the config file on github like es209ra-defconfig is it okay it have not the CONFIG_MSM_VIDC=y
CONFIG_MSM_VIDC_720P=y
CONFIG_MSM_VIDC_VENC=y
CONFIG_MSM_VIDC_VDEC=y
CONFIG_FB_MSM_TRIPLE_BUFFER=y
CONFIG_FB_MSM_MDP_HW=y
Maybe it helps for video aswell but we dont have that folder in kernel git or Am i just plain dumb about this.
All i want is learning and helping others.
I just was looking in the kangbangcreations kernel git and lots of things are the same only we have scrambled bits. Like i saw at kang it have lots of things in msm stuff some files i saw use #include <linux/slab.h and we dont and everything els look the same exept sensors names etc.
I hope this is usefull post

Thank you for the ROM. Looks great over all. I like how you've squeezed in all the customization most people need :good:
So Mokee's MIUI like UI got left behind with CM7?
Does this rom has Transparency control ?
Yet another rom

yes it does.
Posting what the settings look like.
I love the ROM. Using it with Semaphore. Very fluid.

And does it work smooth ?
Because all the roms almost have transparency but none works as they have to, like while going in drawer or coming out of it shows the transparency effect :/
And seriously it annoys :/
Not being rude or mean.
Just sharing my thoughts.
P.s does navigation bar have a power button to add in it ?
So sorry for asking, i know i can try it my self but I'm actually not connected with my wifi and my mobile internet is about to ..
So please dont get mad

Mokee on N4
I will check this out and report. Mokee on my previous phone which myself and a couple of xda friends helped port and continue to develope was amazing. I look forward to testing this.
Download begins now.........

Too early but first impressions are its quite nice. Little bit bloated with themes,folder creations and weird Chinese market stuff but once i removed personnel unwanted bloat and slimmed it down its kind of growing on me. Love some of the features like data rate notification but could do with some little extras. I'm a massive fan of slimbean but this ROM has got a lot of potential.
P.s wow mokee has changed from GB days.
Overall I quite like the release, keep up the good work.
Back to testing further......

[Q] Need a rom

I love Halo of PA, game performance of SnowJB and Sweep2Wake (or doubletap2wake) of NHkernel.
Can anyone tell me which rom have these features (
Any ROM with xposed framework can have pa halo or its already embedded into the ROM itself...some ROMs aren't working good with gaming, snowJB seems to be the best (from what I hear)..I've never used it.

These features have not been merged into paranoid android yet in 4.4.2, and Halo is actually dead as we know it. If you can't live without these features I'd suggest sticking with pac 4.3.1.

Some of us are locked to 4.4.2 (thanks, motorola). Would halo/ dpi chooser be readily restorable?
Afaik slim pie will be making it's appearance soon

[Q] Is anyone working on a Sense 5.5 KK Kernel?

I was just wondering if we had anyone working on a sense kit kat kernel with features such as GPU overclock and DoubleTap2Wake as they are very useful features and I do not know how to compile kernels myself.
