Hello. I've a neo on the o2 network and want to flash an ics firmware. I was going to follow this guide,
/talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239
Am I correct in thinking that I don't need to unlock the bootloader or root just to use flashtool to install the firmware. That guide links to version 431, where do I get the stock 587 from please and do I need central Europe or global.
Sorry if I asked any obvious questions and thanks for the help

You can Flash the kernel using Flashtool and it Doesn't require any bootloader unlock, But keep a backup of you current firmware so that in case of any problem you can restore back.
and
Now its having .587 firmware link . Use the international version it will work
Thanks for your help. The 587 version must have only recently been added. I look forward to trying it.

All the root solutions that supposedly work for all models have proven not to work with this Asia model. Have any users of the same model found working exploits?

No exploit for p768e, p768f, p768g yet.

it is possible unlock this model? block on Vodafone spain
there is a solution?
I think flashing a factory rom for p760 from other countries may unlock the phone. But i am not sure about this. So before trying ask experts or do some deep research.

Only flash a custom firmware i unlock the phone ? I dont think but i try
Okay so I tried unlocking my bootloader for my p769 .. couldnt get it done, and I was stuck with the kdz that had the wonky mirrored screen.. so I ran a restore from a backup I found using cwm. And that is what im currently on. I am on v10b, and I keep getting notifications and popups to install v10d.. If I click restart & install, will this brick my phone? or will it actually work? Is there a way to just remove the popups and notifications for the updates ?
??? anyone?
To be safe I would flash a stock kdz with lg tool for your phone..look for the newest update for your phone and carrier kdz file..flash it..then it won't ask u to update..u can find tons of jellybean kdz files on these forums
That's just what I would do..I wouldn't risk it.

That's the reason why I don't try to without a professional's eyes and ears on teamviewer. :L
The lg tool u used already to put it on the wonky touchscreen kdz..
What is your carrier?
What android version was your phone when u bought it?
Its not dangerous lol..you might become dangerous thou if you lack patience or mental stability from trouble shooting ..
I've used offline flashing sucessfully over 60 times

Hello^^ I was wandering if someone ever succeeded in unlocking the bootloader on a Tim l9 p760, I've tried some guides but none of them worked yet, the only one I've not tried is the new method with the radio flash, which I cannot try at the moment since offline update is not working properly...
yes, my L9 TIM (italy) is unlocked...
I've updated to JB and then unlock via ADB (adb reboot oem-unlock)
have you updated to JB before try to unlock?
Yes, I currently have the v20c version Europe open, it was used and when I got it it had v20c Tim... which firmware do you have? Did you have too install omap4430 drivers first? Because the only part I'm not sure whether I've done properly is the driver installation for omap... Can you link me the guide you followed?
Thank you very much^^

When you install different u and x loaders, it brings you directly to fastboot . I tried that command but it said failed remote or something like that.
