Facebook back on my phone lg l9 p769 - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Ok so i don't know how to say this but. I had rooted my phone. Then i wanted to get Facebook Home, so i deleted the file for facebook(because usually you aren't supposed to be able to delete facebook just un-install the updates.) And then time passed and i unrooted it, next day it got stuck in a bootloop and i fixed it. But now i can delete facebook. Does anyone know the file to put it so i can't delete it just un-install to stock lg l9 facebook. And where to put that file so it won't fully delete?
I would really appreciate it if you can help!!

Titanium backup boo boo

So I purchased titanium back up cause I planned on experimenting.. I wanted to see if I could delete stock apps then restore them back to normal. The back up worked but the restore file isn't in apk. format where I found it. I deleted quadrapop nothing to die over but can some one explain how titanium works? does it only back up data and if so why is there an app backup option. Oh and how can I get quadrapop apk. My kid brother is gonna kill me. Thanks.

I don't know how you will get the game back but instead of deleting them you have the option to freeze them. I do this when i'm not sure if deleting will poo up the phone. It's easy to un freeze the apps (defrost !) But i've never seen the option to have apps back once you've uninstalled them.
You could run the phone through seus of course and put the phone back to it's original state

No making it master reset won't get the game back you have to reformat (repair)phone OS again. but search for APK first.
I figured searching for the apk would be the best idea , and thanks ill just freeze aps instead of delete, seems allot safer. I've been searching all day for the apk. With no results, is it some where here on xda

Bump, does freezing the app free space in the system app folder or just disable its services.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
I could be wrong but even when i deleted moxier i didn't see a rise in phone memory so i doubt freezing them will change anything.

Hey all,
So awhile back I "froze" most of the bloatware (they were highlighted with a blue background)
Recently I tried to "defrost" them (returned to black background) and I checked my app drawer and sure enough the were all there...
However, after turning my phone off, and back on... they are now all MISSING from my app drawer! To make matters worse, they all have the black background so I don't know which apps I am missing.
This happens consistently, I can re-freeze and re-defrost all the apps and they will appear in my app drawer, until I turn my phone off.. then the go missing again..
ANY THOUGHTS?
THANKS!!
When u uninstall stock apps like quadrapop you can only get them back by putting the apk file into the phone mem and installing from there. In the android dev section theres a thread where someone posted a zip file with all the stock system apps you can download.
Once you have the apk u want u need a file manager with super user grant like root explorer or android mate, use it to put the apk file in phone mem in system/app and install it from there
I'm pretty new to titanium backup as well and this is how I got back calendar back, good luck

Can you help me please?
Also can i delete the 'Super user' icon so my phone appears to be stock/non-rooted?
I downloaded ES file manager/astro file manager and none could remove the apps 'error removing .apk' There is only like 3-4 things i wish to remove *sigh*
Download Titanium Backup from the market, this will uninstall the .apks that you want to get rid of.

Any other app that does the same? I don't want to spend $6.50 Just to delete a couple of things, I'll only use it to delete like 5 things.. seems like a waste.
I downloaded the free one and it says it'll delete the app/reboot twice etc.. but it doesnt delete the app or reboot twice, Only restarts the phone
Don't use the 'force remove app' option then, just cliick the one you want to delete in the list and click uninstall.

Ok, but it's not that simple, you can't delete everything without consquences, search for the list of files that can be deleted without harm, from your specific ROM!

It is possible to delete them from what i understand... but from what else i understand, if you delete them, you'll need to put them back if you intend on doing any of the OTA updates in the future. So... yea.... po-tay-to, po-tah-to.
titanium backup....
the best bang for your buck on any android device
I use titanium backup and just delete them if for some reason you need them back just reflash a rom.

Titanium backup all the way!

I used to use titanium backup pro up until about a week ago. Then I found Antek which does what I need it to do, all I ever really used titanium backup for, which is freeze bloatware. Never really used it to back up much stuff cause unlike most people I choose to reinstall everything fresh when I flash a ROM. It just feels newer. If all u wanna do is freeze bloatware, I would go with Antek.

Bloat freezer works well, there's also app quarantine and tB
TitaniumBackup pro is best for me

Don't delete.
It's a real PITA if you need to restore an app for any reason.
With the processing power, ram, and storage why would you need to delete?...

As for OP's question, Titanium Backup Pro by a landslide.
IMHO everyone should own this app since its like the "Swiss Army Knife" of Android apps...

System Tuner can freeze app and much more!
System Tuner now allows freezing/unfreezing apps very easily and much more features.
You can check its details here:

Titanium Backup Pro.................should be the first app anyone gets after they get an android phone!

You should add after they have root as well seeing as i tried to install and it doesnt work on my phone(no root/unlock yet)
I normally just rename the apk in my system folder using root explorer. App.apk_fro

One of the many reason I prefer System Tuner Pro, much more features than just app management, and it's still being updated with new features very frequently.
And not the least, it's still cheaper than Titanium Backup Pro! It can actually replace both TBP and System Panel Pro for much much less bucks! And still offer more features than both apps united!
STP should be the 3rd app on any Android phone if not the first considering it offers many features without root requried!
The first 2 could well be ClockWorkMod and root for those wishing to have extended control over their phone.
I use bloat freezer and love it. It seems to be much more descriptive on the thing I'm freezing than TiB which usually reports com.something

Removing apks

I used root explorer to remove Twitter and friend steam and facebook from system-app but yet they are still in the app drawer and I can sign in as if I've done nothing. If anyone can help I want those things completely removed.

There are 2 twitter apks and 3 friendstream apks that need to be deleted. But again using rom cleaner it wipes those out for me
But default rom cleaner script doesnt remove apps like facebook or twitter or google movies and stuff.
are you referring to use a edited user txt file to remove em .
isnt there any update txt file somewhere which i can use
I flash ROM's all the time and it's a pain to open the zip and remove apps you don't want. Or sometimes you do an update to an existing ROM and just forget.
Here's an app I've been using for a couple of years, very simple and lightweight, will even backup the app before removing. I posted it in the apps section, but here's a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939056&highlight=stock+app+removal

Help! Ultimate Rooting Failure.

Well, after not even having my phone rooted for a day, it seems like i have already probably bricked it. I hard reset my phone which normally wouldnt cause a problem if i didnt 1) delete the home launcher and 2) delete the keyboard app. So i can neither get on apps or type. Only thing i can access is the settings panel. My phone is a Kyocera Event running 4.0.4 if that helps. Is there any way to recover from my noob mistake or have i bricked my first phone? lol
Well i figured out if i can just install a home launcher on it then ill be ok but i cant figure out how to install an app on there without being able to access the google play store. Can anyon tell me how to install an app on my phone via pc? Thats probably the only way. If anyone can help id be very thankful thanks a ton:banghead:

Open the play store from your computer web browser, sign in with the same mail you use in your phone and get a launcher. It will download and install automatically in your phone.
Will it still install to that phone even though my email isnt on the phone anymore? It was deleted when i reset the phone
Sent from my SGH-T499 using XDA Free mobile app
Ops, my bad, i forget you did a reset. Well, you can open settings, right? Add your Google account again, then download the launcher from play store.
I wish i could but i deleted the stock keyboard apps too :banghead: if i could find a way to access my sd card, install an app on my phone via pc or get to the google play store then i could fix this. Next time i definitly wont be touching any non bloatware apps lol
