hello guys, im here to ask a question.
I'm currently on epinter's cm10.1 jellybean,
if i reverted back to MROM or any CM7 gingerbread ROM.
am i able to install/use jellybeam apps?
is there any way to get pass market compatibility?
for example Clash of Clans required android 4.0+ , is there any way to install on gingerbread?
That's a pretty stupid question. Do you think those apps require 4.0+ for no good reason, just to piss you off?
Its not a stupid question bro. He's just curious. Moving back to compatability. Some apps require android 4.0+ because these versions are "up to date" or "modern" whereas gingerbread versions might not be able to process/handle the apps you want to install.

It actually is. Its like asking "can i install 4.2 gapps on a non 4.2 rom?" Plus he could have found this answer out himself by reverting back to GB, extracting a JB app, attempt to install it and then get the parsing error. Or he could have googled this question.

Hey im running CM7.2 and a lot of apps that were compatible before with stock are not now. I was wondering if any one else has these problems and if there is a fix.

Can you be specific? Which apps?
I tried to download word with friends. And it said it was incompatible. And pretty much all the wallpaper apps were incompatible. Such as picspeed wallpapers HD. I may be mistaken and maybe these apps are really just not compatible with the photon. But I remember playing words about a month ago when I was on stock.
Wwf works...using it now...

Hmm.. mind trying picspeed HD wallpapers?
Works....did u flash gapps after flashing the rom?

Sure did. Should I reflash gapps?
Couldn't hurt...wipe cache and dalvik then reflash

So i have been having a similar problem. I tried installing tiny tower, discover card, capital one bank, and citi credit card apps and all of them said "your device is incompatible with this version" on the google play store. I tried to use the apk to install tiny tower manually and it came back saying "application not installed" I also tried reflashing gapps as was suggested above and that didn't seem to change anything.
These apps all worked fine on the stock sense OS but they don't work on cm7.2
I've heard that there are patches for CM7.2 RC1, is that true, does anyone know where i could get them so i could flash them?
The same issue
Hi,
I have Samsung Galaxy 3 and since I flashed the CM 7.2. RC3 I wasn't able to install many application. Do anyone has the solution?
Thanks...
From my experience the apps not compatible is due to changing settings of your screen density
. Stock is 240. Have you changed it? Rom toolbox? Modify build.prop? Or even in the cm7 settings?

I just recently installed this ROM and I absolutely love it but the only problem I have with it is that it does not come with the Memo app. I used TB to install it from a backup I did from shostock2 but whenever I use the lock feature it force closes. I have tried searching but to no avail hence this post. Thanks for the help.
It's for touchwiz based roms and AOKP isn't touchwiz. So therefore it will not run. I'm sure there are plenty of 3rd party apps that will replace it

So I've tried stock ICS but it didn't do it for me do I reverted back to GB 2.3.5 just for simplicity and ease of use.
However, I am thinking of going to JB once it's fully stable. I am currently running a root kernel bit that's it.
So, 2 questions arise here:
What's the easiest way to save my data as one file in Titanium Backup so I can reinstall on a new build?
Which build is fully JB ready? By this, I mean that all functions run flawlessly. I don't want an absence of wifi, gps, sms etc.
I know this sounds like I'm asking a lot, but I'm overcomplicating my request. So tl;dr, need GB to JB upgrade whilst keeping app and data settings.
Oh yes, I am on the 3 UK network.
Thank you.

Wrong section to post in.
But,
For apps u can use titanium back up
SMS - SMS back up and restore
Call log - call log back up and restore
Photos stay
And the recommended JB ROMs are either root box or resurrection remix, all JB ROMs are stable and are fully functional in reference to calls SMS WiFi and gps

Kick-ass combo :good:
edit: i'd also like to know if there's any way to back up apps on titanium backup into a SINGLE file, my backup folder is flooded with zips and plenty of files with weird names.

If you have the pro key (definitely worth it) you can do batch restore, and sort them into categories. Don't know if this will help but it'll save loads of time

Go ahead and try a JB rom, use titanium backup saves Tons of time, but remember if you back up while in a JB rom then, try to go back to ICS some apps may conflict.
GO JB!!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Use Dorimanx 7.10 as your kernel and then you can dual boot a few JB roms to try.
Rootbox 3.1 looks great.
I use Jelly King - smooth stable and just works for me.
If you like the straight Android look and feel - SuperNexus Build 5 is a great way to go!
All the so many options. Thanks for the replies, I'll have a look at them.
When you say they are pre-rooted, has the triangle been removed also? Not a problem if it hasn't.

Hey guys, Im a big android fan, I have a rooted galaxy s3, and I love the ROM CM10 as it gives me a stock android experience, however, i came back to the official firmware because there are some things that I just didnt like on CM10, the 3 principal are:
1) The contacts app
2) The messasing app
3) No SmartStay
SO I went back to the official firmware, but I backed up the CM10 gallery and camera (which are the JB ones) using Titanium Backup, and I was able to install them in the samsung firmware.
BUT MY PERFORMANCE WAS SO MUCH BETTER ON CM10, so my question is:
CAN I BACK UP THE SAMSUNG FIRMWARE APPS LIKE CONTACTS, MESSASING, SMARTSTAY, ETC, USING TITANIUM BACKUP, AND INSTALL THEM ON CM10? so I can have the native android experience, but with the apps from samsung that I like?, Im asking because I dont want to do all the installing of cm10 and wiping again, if im not going to be able to get these apps on it, I'd really appreciate your help guys. thanks in advance
no mate. those apps are Sammy framework based

Damn it, the only thing I don't like about cm10 is the messaging and the contacts, and if I could just replace them I would be happy :s

No, you cant run iOS apps on Android, and if you had taken a few seconds to search you would already have that answer from one of the other topics where this silly question has been asked.
Also, why would you want to install the iOS app when there is an official Android version???
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.junobe.android.junowallet
Sry for posting a similar topic but the link above is not exactly an app but a html5 webpage that provides more tasks to complete in the junowallet app that i already have.
Just that android users cannot acess that page.

That's nice. Go ask the developer to make an Android version (this thread is no less stupid than when it was started).
Its stupid for you not for athers
No, it's a stupid question. Period (as The Atheist intimated >9 mths ago). Do you have even the remotest understanding of how different Android & iOS are as operating systems/so far as frameworks go ?
Obviously not.
I am...you "smart" in windows you can run linux apps and opposite why cant be possible on android. Think it
Make it happen then.
