I downloaded and played the row version of PvZ2 before the na version was available, and made quite a bit of progress. Now that the na version has been released I'd like to switch over to it, in order to connect to Google Play Games (can't do that in the row version). Has anyone successfully transferred the data from the row version to the na version? I've muddled around in the databases and other save files and tried some things, but haven't had any success yet. I know it has to be possible.
Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue here that I'm trying to figure out as well.
I just copied the save files over after I put my phone on airplane mode. I also had to cleared the Cache and Dalvik cache in TWRP for the _na PvZ2 to recognize the _row PvZ2 save files. Not sure if clearing the Dalvik cache was necessary, but I now have my saved games transferred to the NA version. :good:

I already started this game over once, switching from iOS to Android. I really didn't want to start over again.

copy /android/data/com.ea.game.pvz2_row/files/no_backup
to /android/data/com.ea.game.pvz2_na/files/
But I ran into a problem - seems Google Play may be backing up save data? After a couple of hours I restarted the game - my copied game save was gone, and the new/restarted game save was back.
I have to play with this some more. Might have to stay signed out of Google Play....
Ok I figured it out. For those who may still want to do this:
Copy the entire "files" folder from /sdcard/Android/data/com.ea.game.pvz2_row to /sdcard/Android/data/com.ea.game.pvz2_na
Reboot into recovery and clear cache partition.
That's it! Once you reboot and launch PVZ2 NA version it'll load your progress and allow you to sign into Google Play Games.
Clearing Dalvik wasn't necessary. Also, I did this while in Airplane Mode, but am not so sure that is necessary...
Tried this out but every time I connect to internet, the game resets my progress.
Please help.

Same problem here. Can't recover my savegame
it seems the game is save with Unique ID system
So you have to find the ID and transfert it
But now you just have to sign on G+ it sync all the progress!
PS: Sign in FIRST with the most score advenced device.
Everytime I launch the game with internet connection, the games resets. What I do is launch the game offline and then turn on wifi/data on. But this has become a hassle. I can't get the WW lvl 25 unlocked even if I turn on internet connection after launching the game offline.
Has anyone had any success with this thus far?
I tried the methods stated in the thread but once internet is on, my progress is reset. So I am left with the row version to manually update whenever EA publishes new content.
Why can't EA have just have one version and have it available worldwide? What is the deal with ELECTRONIC ARTS and Electronic Arts Inc - Why are there two?
On a side note, do you guys experience overheating on your device when playing this game for extended periods? I do on my Nexus 5 which then results in a auto shut down.

Common issue tonight....dont panic. I am guessing it relates to Googles conference Wednesday. Perhaps they are doing something. I had the issue...rebooted and was able to download the app I couldnt previously.

Sounds like issue with your SD partition. You will need to repartition your internal to 2048/0. This is documented on the first post of the Vegan thread.
Well, I tried to do some stuff, and now I am stuck in bootloop.
On market Help from google, it said to go the mangae Apps Markey, and uninstall update.
So I did that.
Then I rebooted.
Then I did Market Fix steps.
Then I rebooted, now all it does is continue to boot.
Anyone? Please?

I bascially just started ever with the reinstalling of the rom.
On the plus side, when you learn the most is when things go wrong. And I feel your pain - I had to reload everything from a bootloop as well

I had the same problem last night. I got it to download by going into settings/applications/system applications and clearing the data in the download manager. I had to do it for every download. BTW It seems to be working fine this morning.

Hi all,
I didn't want to start a new thread but I hope someone sees this one as the main title is not descriptive at all.
I got my new gtablet three days ago (not a woot) and have been trying different roms (TNT 4.3.1 / Vegan 5.1) with no luck in the android market. As in the first topic, I tried the fixes for the market, clearing cache, data, even re-partitioning to make sure partition was 2048 | 0, turning off firewall in my router... EVERYTHING! I can see all the applications but as soon as I click to install it keeps in "starting downloading..." and could be there for hours without downloading a single bit.
Early in this topic the speculation was a google conference taking place but... that was February! Is anybody experimenting the same (frustration, haha)? How can I identify where the problem could be?
Thanks in advanece!

I'm right there with you and have yet to find a solution. It's quite frustrating.
Been using vegan 5.1 for a month now and its been great. Now the browser and market just closes at random. Not FC but just closes. Reboot doesn't help but turn of then wait a min then on does. I reinstalled and with supplement and without several times. Same thing.
sometimes it can go hours and sometimes its min when it starts.
Please help me or I wont have much hair left!
Thanks guys
It seems to happen more after using market. not sure though

Did it start happening after the supplement 5.1.1? A few users rebooted reboot issues especially after using Flash in the browser. I haven't been able to replicate it, but I also wipe user data as a rule between mods and updates.

before I tried the supplement. I have min stuff on the tab and use it for web browsing. but I did install a few apps that I could share folders off my pc.
it seems to be doing it after I use market at some point. i done the cache clear as above and it worked fine for 2 hours, then I opened up market and looked around. with in 2 min the screen went blank and i was to the lock screen. other times it goes to the home screen.
I done a shut down, restart and havent been on market and its been up for a hour.
I'm running the supplement at this time. only thing downloaded was quadrant and kindle.
first time I done the quadrant test also, it was 2152 or close. not sure what it should be if that matters.
thanks for your help.

Doesn't make sense it would only happen with the same 2 apps & on different roms.
Have you tried browsers other than the stock browser & does it happen with those? What version of Market is currently installed, an older version or the nesest (3.0.27)?

Are you talking in CWM, Mounts & Storage?
Shouldn't have to do anything there. All that should be automatically mounted. you wiud know if one of those wasn't. ..system would come up.../data is where installed apps are, /sdcard is where you store stuff, /system is where your rom is, /cache is by the system
If you use cpumaster, setcpu or similar, try removing.I found setcpu to be responsible for crashing some apps and sleep of death on my tab and was only overclocked to 1.2Ghz.I now overclock by editing script included in rom and no more problems.
Hey everybody -
This is my first post here. I'm sorry if there is an answer already posted to this and if i'm just reposting, but i haven't seen any of this information anywhere, and apparently i have to make 5 q&a posts before i can start posting stuff where i need too, so i'm trying to throw some useful info to the community to gain this privilage
Anyways, onto the topic -
Many people that are installing a new ROM on there EVO 3D are getting an error when google tries to auto install apps after flashing. The error states that there is not enough space left on their devices to continue installing apps, even though there are reports of users having 700+mb free for app storage. Developers are claiming that it's because you didn't wipe dalvik/cache before flashing. I've found that this is not true, but I do know the fix, but don't completely under stand why this happens.
The fix:
The fix to this problem is a very simple one.
1. Install the rom like you normally would (boot to recovery, NAND backup, wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, wipe partition cache, and wipe cache, then flash from zip, then select reboot device)
2. When the phone is booted up, type in all your info as usual to sync your accounts. When your done with this step, you'll notice google tries to start installing all of your apps, which it'll eventually crash on due to space.
3. You can do this before or after it throws you the error message about space, but the next step is reboot your phone back into recovery. From there, you're going to wipe your dalvik cache and cache (again), and then reboot the phone again.
That's it! You should now be able to install all of your apps again without getting storage errors!
I'm not a developer, but if i'm to take a guess at why this happens, i'm guessing something about the install, or maybe even the initial boot process of a rom being ran for the first time, for some reason is flooding our cache space, thus firing false alarms for being out of space. Therefor, by cleaning the cache space after the rom install is completed and booted, the phone no longer notices the space issues. I could be wrong on this, but this seems like a logical answer to me.
If this helps, let me know! Also feel free to correct me if i'm wrong on anything i posted, but this method seems to work for me! If this needs to be in a different category, feel free to move it! As a new member, i'm very limited on where i can post things...
Enjoy your newly rooted and modded EVO 3D!

no problem! this community has helped me TONS in the past, even though i haven't said anything about it (due to not being able to post in developer threads yet). I reflashed and wiped my phone about 4-5 times before realizing that the cache had to be cleaned AFTER the install and first boot of the new rom, and all the dev's kept stating it was from not wiping prior to flashing, which i did every time. Hopefully this will save some people time and headaches and i'm sure the dev's will soon find a fix to this, as they seem to work very fast at finding bugs and cleaning em up.
more or less i would say its because the market will download apps to the cache first...then install them to the phone...
the insufficient space is mostly what happens when the cache gets filled.
thats my educated guess on the matter.
also welcome to xda. you're gonna like it here
When I do this, it forgets all my 130 apps and I have to go look for them manually. Only ROMs that are using the new market do this to me.
Welcome to xda.
Another suggestion to add to the nice info here is. When you boot up a rom for the first time dont sign in. Immediately go to settings/accounts & sync and uncheck auto sync. Then head to settings/privacy then uncheck automatically restore. Then sign in. This is a option for anyone who doesn't want to reboot.

that would make a lot of sense as well - if that's the case, maybe people should let google market crash the cache before they clear it out again? that's what i did when i got it working... it was one of those things where i just watched and wondered, "is it going to do it all this time?", and of course when it didn't, that's when i discovered re-clearing the cache again in recovery fixes it. I noticed that by clearing the application cache (settings/applications/manage programs/market/clear cache) the problem still persists, and the only way to get google apps to install again is by clearing cache in recovery, which made me think it was an installation/boot thing. but i'm still learning, like many of us here
thanks for the input!

this is an issue i noticed as well - i had to re-add my apps manually after it only added 24 of the 120 i had going. but hey, beggers can't be choosers, and i'm just mostly happy that i got a new rom going with everything functioning properly within 2 weeks of the phones release!
If anyone knows how to re-start the app sync succesfully without space errors, that might be good info to include in this post

Did you clear the cache or data in the app itself or from recovery?? If you clear cache from recovery, this shouldn't happen. If it still does, usually downloading another app rebuilds the market cache.
What you can do to fix it is use Titanium Backup and there is a setting: Menu > More > Market Doctor and it fixes this issue. But, I think it only works in the paid version. It's well worth the few bucks though!

Recovery. Downloading another app doesn't rebuild the cache either. Now it's gotten to the point where no ROM will restore any of my apps at all, it basically thinks I've never downloaded anything. So now I've gotta try and remember the 130 or so apps I had installed.
Not complaining, just an observation. One of the caveats of rooting a new device
Welcome to the community.
A really easy way to fix this is to just clear the cache and data for the Market in Settings > Applications, and that has worked for numerous people using my ROM but I don't think it'd be any different for any other ROM.

I tried this method on vipers rc1.2 and supra ROM, and it didn't fix it for either - I continued to get insufficient space warnings, even after rebooting. The only thing that worked for my device was going into recovery to clear the cache.
You can also go into terminal emulator and delete the Download.apk files in the cache.
You'd think Google would be a little smarter at this. All the market would need to do is download fewer apps at a time, as the files are cleared once the installation is complete.

That won't make any difference if there is no room to actually store the downloads. Downloads from the Market go into /cache while downloading and then move to /data/app or /system/app, depending on the app. Hence why clearing cache fixes it.

That's what causes the market problem - I tried wiping and flashing both roms multiple times with the same result - if you flash a new ROM with the new market, and your market tries to sync a large number of apps, its going to flood the cache space and stop allowing the installation of apps until you go into recovery and clear the cache there... Then it all works fine, except for having to add all your apps one by one.

I tried something similar, but not exactly like you said earlier. I set my accounts to sync, but immediately went into the market while it was syncing, and cancelled everything. This would've still left the user picking each app to re-download one by one, because I believe there's no way to restart the app sync. I ended up buying titanium, and used that to put all my apps back on - its much less of a headache.
Hi.
I did factory reset to the tablet and after that order and chaos stopped working. In the stage that it supposed to show login details it just quits back to launcher. i bought a p7500, bought the game and it does go back to home screen. Trying their support is a joke they suggested a r install twice in aweek . My firmware was 3.1, updated to 3.2 still same problem. i am thinkg about installing a diff rom but i dont think it would work.
i wonder something though is your tab the only android device coonected to gameloft or market accou t, or do you have different devices which u have downloaded order and chaos for?
at first I had only galaxy note and the game wasn't officially supported.
after that I purchased samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and the game worked amazing there.
my mom lost her ipad so I gave her mine and did factory reset.
after that the game started to officially support galaxy note and it worked great!
now my mom's about to purchase a new Ipad so she gave me the tablet back
and after factory reset the game stopped working. I tried installing both ICS and GB roms but there is no difference. tried chainfire3d (donno why! i'm trying anything) but same results.

OR you can wipe dalvik and let android build the dalvik cache again from the scratch and try the game??
It seems to be a illegal call somewhere within Java. I dont know how to code C or Java but, this is a guess.
AT least we can rule out dalvik issues.
Since you had it working before could you tell us if you have restored O&C from the backup or re installed it?

has been a version changed since it last worked - no but

Gamelloft support sucks big time... it is impossible to get a meaningful response from them... I am trying few things i have found , will let you know if they work .....

installed oac_part1.apk, executed it and let it download, after it finishes without starting the game i executed the part2 and part3 of the oac apks, after that executed the game, let it download again and voila! game works!!
PLUS i am warning you till the gameloft fixes the game and you download the game from them officially , do not trust these apk, you and i can both loose our chars which we play on our tabs. Nevermind at least it is working.
I guess what these are; they install the game version 1.0.8 first , than install 1.1.0 on top and finally install 1.1.2 which is the current version........
Please delete the link to the site... It is a cracked game as is and not safe........
OK. First off...Im a noob. My carrier is GCI. My device (obviously) is the sgh-i717. I flashed the at&t 4.1.2. update via odin. Flashed Teamwin recovery. Installed su. Rom and root seem to run correctly. However, I cant download apps from Google Play store or download apk from share site-on 4g LTE connection. Wifi- everything works... Web runs fine. Apps run. I have call/text/mms functionality. Battery sucks now but thats a whole different story... What is likely going on and how can I fix it? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Edit: It seems as though I cant download ANYTHING if Im not on wi-fi. No apps from market, apk files, mp3 files...nada. Browser is slower than usual but still functional. Battery still drains about 20-30% faster. Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction?
try going to app manager find play store clear cache data whatever it is and reboot.
That was the first thing I tried to no avail. I cleared ALL of the caches, even cleared saved data and re-synced my google account. It seems as though I cant download anything even mp3 files. Like I said, my data is running. My web works fine apps send and receive data. Downloading is my issue.
The next thing I tried was installing the new jellybean modem. Same problems. Everything works fine on wifi. No downloading files of any sort on the 4G LTE connection. Maybe I should edit the title of this thread or start a new one since this may be a broader issue...? Wish I could get more input. But you are on the right track...
Update: installed cynogenmod 10.1 and now everything works. Had to reformat sd to fat32.
