Welcome to CMB Roms- CM done Better... Dark Themed for his/her Pleasure
Why CMB?
We are just better , in a nutshell we set out to give you the best of CM, with none of the annoying features (see list below), all this wrapped in a custom black theme. We used the KISS principal when deciding what to offer, we based our frameworks on CM alone (not FrankFrameworks like some others out there), enabling us to provide updates and bug fixes as soon as CM does. This doesn't mean we are only relying on them for development, it just eases merging.
Features
Based on Android 4.3_r3.1, CM10.2
All current features CM10.2
Dark Holo Theme, with drawables from TeamBaked)
Dark Mms app (thanks to my mates at TeamBaked for the start)
Dark Calendar
Dark Contacts
Ramdisk security tweaks, you can adb as root now!
Bash "tab to complete" now works
Remount helper, in adb shell
Old
Code:
mount -o rw,remount /system
New
Code:
remount /system
Better Right??
We plan to add more features, suggestions are welcome (but sometimes ignored )

So far, restoring apps with titanium backup does not work with superuser. Which is a common thing under 4.3.
Installing superSU solved this problem. Might want to update the superuser binary.

Sorry for my imprecise english .Yes, the dock is recognized by the tablet (the SD Card put in the dock is recognized too) : everything is actually working fine with the dock except the usb port.
Here is what i'm calling a "usb key" that i put in the dock port and that is not working : http://www.pixmania.fr/cle-usb/cors...11985866-a.html#srcid=11275&nopopup=1&merch=1

Yes, it did recognised it with stock ROM. As a precision, my version wasn't exactly the one i put in my previous post : it is USB 2.0, not a 3.0 one.
So far so good, running fast
Dock functional keys - the only working are "Back", "Browse", "Volume down", "Volume up", "Lock", all others are not
Well, to be honest, the only thing that worries me is that I can't disable the touchapd, all the other keys have a replacement
And a question - I'm not a big fan of theme customization...is there a way to revert it back to stock? For example the Google Play app with the new custom dark background and white item cards looks a bit inconsistent
Anyway, so far loving the rom!

No worries on your English, we are all here to get the most out of our 201. I am looking into what maybe the problem with the dock. Its not so easy because you will see that CM, the ROM our ROM is based on only supports the 201 up to 10.1 and then they just stopped. will let you know what I find out...Thx as always lj

What is this?
This is the AOKP-android open kang project compiled for the TF201. I have tested this and this flashes with no problem. This rom has waaaaaaaay more features then CM9. Like seriously... it has a option in Settings called Rom Control. You can read about it here: http://forum.aokp.co/
Disclaimer
I or PG are not responsible for what happens to your beautiful prime. So, please act with caution. I am 100% sure this works as I have tested it, however.... if if you dont know how to use adb, i suggest you stop reading right now and learn that first.
BEFORE YOU FLASH PLEASE READ
This rom has been shared for educational and entertainment purposes. Please dont flame, dont complain and please dont wine if you find something that doesn't work, this is why this is Work in Progress. Hopefully, it'll work 100% 1 day, and we of course have no ETA. So please do not ask. Maybe another dev can take a crack at it?
Who made this build? Compiled it?
This build was compiled by PlayfulGod. Please donate to him here: http://bit.ly/yeOD3T. Original work by AOKP. This is just a port for the tf201 and nothing more. Credit to AOKP. I have been given permission by PG to release it to the public. This rom comes with no support. However, you can stop by #asus-transformer on freenode and If i am around... I will gladly help. As the TF201 has been unlocked, i figured it would be beneficial to all android enthusiast to have more than 1 option for roms. That is why we are making this build available. Test it out and tell me what you think. Please expect bugs as this is a WIP. I will post screenshots soon.
What is not working?
Screen Rotation is only in portrait mode (Looking into Orientation Switch on market)
Not all options in the Rom Control work
LED Options
Reboots when pressing the Power Button to sleep the TFP
Screen won't turn off while closing the dock/tablet
MicroSD (Looks like there is a solution for CM9, will look into it)
I have noticed on a few occasions as some of these options are not working with the TF201, it will do a fastboot. So, please do not complain.
Instructions
Install like any other rom, however MAKE SURE you unmount SYSTEM and unmount STAGING.
1. Make sure you're on the latest CWM
2. MAKE A NANDROID
3. unmount system & staging
3. wipe data/factory reset in recovery
4. flash ROM
5. flash Gapps (if you want)
6. reboot
Remember, to make a backup of your current rom. Also make a backup of your boot.img, so if you do decide to go back to your rom you can flash the boot.img and you'll be back to normal.
How to backup your Boot.img? You can use ADB or Terminal Emulator
1. su (to make sure you have #)(if your in adb.... adb shell)
2. dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/boot.img bs=4096 skip=3968 count=2048
Wanna restore to what you had?? Heres how to do it right....
So you saw it, you like it, you can't wait till it completely works, but you wanna go back to what you had for now....
1. Make sure you have your boot.img backed up from the rom your going to restore.
2. Go to CWM and do the Restore
3. Once thats done, go to ADB and flash Boot img
4. adb shell & su (make sure you have #)
5. dd if=/sdcard/boot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0 seek=3968 bs=4096 count=2048
6. Exit & Reboot
Now you should be back exactly where you are now be4 you flash AOKP.

Is there some high-level comparison of AOKP vs. CM9 vs. Asus stock?
What is Kang and what is its relationship with Cyanogenmod? I've seen CM kernels that have kang in the name, but then also AOKP as a separate rom.
What specific features make Kang compelling for tablets? I've explored the Kang website a bit, but there's nothing that gives an overview of the purpose/goals of the project.

Kang is not the name of the rom, kang means built from someone elses code Eg, if someone takes the cm kernel source builds a kernel from it and releases it you could call that a kang.
The name of this rom is more of a joke I believe as it is "kanged" from source
sent from my Transformer Prime
No NTFS support ?
Hi, Firstly thanks for sharing the ROM. Installed over the Virtuous ROM (.15 v2) to play with and all installed ok, apps restored via TB, etc. but have found that my 32gb microsd card shows up as a Blank SD Card when inserted (I had to create the Removable subfolders first, as per http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23006383&postcount=2), this read fine before on the stock roms and also on Virtuous. So guessing that the kernel used on this rom doesn't support NTFS ?
Any plans to get NTFS support included as 90% + of the HD films I have are way over 4gb
A feature list for the OP would be nice.
I believe it has the same features as listed on this lsit: https://sites.google.com/site/androidopenkangproject/feature-lsit?
YES!!! AKOP on my prime!! This rocks thank you!
cant wait to flash it!!! thx buddy!
For those that are unaware, AOKP is AWESOME!
I don't think I will flash this until some of those bugs are cleared up, but as soon as those are fixed I am in.
I have not used CM9 yet, but AOKP on my Galaxy Nexus is more stable than any CM7 ROM I ever tried. Its packed with features and the devs are always adding new stuff.

I must correct you, Kang is an official denomination of self compiled CM from sources. The Kang ROMs are not stolen !!
CM are built by a buildbot automatically every day or nearly, everyone can build a Kang from sources (remember it's open source) and when you do that the build script automatically add 'Kang' to the name of the ROM as it appear is Settings> About Device menu.
Thus you can easily make the difference between ROM compiled by Cyanogen buildbot and ROM compiled by dev. Usually Kangs are a way to pick only interesting commits for the specific device (called cherry picks) or even removing some commits that are eventually causing bugs.
For example on my optimus 2X phone, CM9 is not officially released, but the CyanogenMod dev in charge of maintaining CM tree for our phone made a Kang to enable us to test it (he named it SelfKang with humour ...)
Don't write such things it could lead to misinterpretations...
Hell yeah. Thought I was in the inc2 forums for a second. This is the best ics rom I've ever used (at least for mobile). Can't wait to give it a run on the tfp

"Orientation Switch" from the Market helps with the orientation issue.
Other issue: the screen won't turn off while closing the dock/tablet.
Nice AOKP on my Desire HD and now my prime. This is great news. For everyone who doesnt know, there are a lot of customizations with rom control. Once the few bugs are worked out, its golden.

Thank you sooooo much! The C9 ROM was KILLING ME! Bug city. After flashing it, I couldn't get wi/fi on any of the other ROM's i was using. So far this looks great. I'm hoping the landscape fix is coming soon.

From what I've learned the kernel is usually the issue with orientation. I have a Skyrocket and of I use a kernel from the Hercules (TMobile version) the orientation is opposite. Sometimes in settings you can torn off specific degrees of orientations.
Thanks for the tip about the app BTW.

You have reported the bug. I have posted a possible solution. Whenever you reboot to this recovery, the automatic driver thats detected is not the USB Mass Storage, but if you unistall, refresh, and then select manual location for drivers and pick USB Mass Storage, it works properly.
Now i have spent 2 nights and 28 build attempts to fix the USB mount issue. It will be solved when it is solved. Please keep the thread dev related and try to post solutions rather then known issues. Or atleast post your recovery logs. I am not focusing on usb mount issue currently.

For skins, they work. In sdcard goto TWRP folder. Inside, create a folder "theme". Paste the downloaded theme file there and rename it to "ui.zip" and reboot to recovery.

This is an enhanced version of the 81c developer preview that google released.
It has currently been ported for Mako and Deb and improved for Hammerhead and Flo
It offers a permissive selinux policy, aosp merged in and rock solid stabilty along with drastic improvements in speed and smoothness.
It offers updated proprietary files, updated google apps, fonts, res files and animations from the newer sdks.

Deb does not have a working mobile radio yet, radio turns on but without access to the settings, we can't configure it. A work around is being worked on
Big thanks to @defconoi , @zyr3x , @percy_g2 , @ben1066 [MENTION=1050103] for improving and originally helping with the old lpv79 port to Mako.
Right now I rebased the entire project to clean it out and smooth it out
Huge thanks to @ramjet73 @bitstra @manueltts @skiman10 @psycho693 @jayfallen for helping me get it over to the other devices I don't have and testing everything I threw at them and the huge brainstorming and trying things I couldn't. It would have not been possible without these guys so please thank them

Warning. This has heavy ramdisk mods that are essential for it to work. You can flash current up to date "kit Kat kernels or L updaters only" but not full boot.imgs as this will break the ROM. If you do happen to flash a a boot.img, you can pull it out if the rom and fastboot flash boot boot.img
Hammerhead can only use L preview Kernels.
Remember, this is a port of a developer preview, there is already bugs in the official version from google and without the L code, we can not fix google's bugs. There are fixes to known problems in N7 2013 and N5 forums so if you do find them, please provide them with the bug

6 finishes up the rebasing work from 5 (5.9 was just a stepping stone and getting it out to other devices so we could work out all the kinks)
(Mako only info)
The rebasing work meant a lot of clean up and trying to get it as efficient as possible so from 5 to 6 is a big step and will be quite noticeable
(mako, flo, deb)
updated egl drivers are from qcom developer are in here which are newer then the preview ones
(Hammerhead )
Proper working sound now
(All)
Built in Busybox should be working. I tested the functions and seemed good to me.
Got rid of all the looping code and debugging code to speed everything up.
Updated the preview proprietary binaries to the latest version (some can't go all the way up and are stuck on a previous set or even original preview versions)
(Hammerhead has the latest preview egl drivers)
Built in google apps have been updated.
Introduction of slim builds for those on a bandwidth budget.
Can't think of what else.
Most kinks have all been worked out

Installed it now, works great. Thank you for bringing this to deb.
Now all we gotta do is figure out how to access the radio setting outside of the setting app since they aren't there.
I had to track down the radio files and pulled them out of 4.4.3 to get the radio to start but I don't have a deb so I can't troubleshoot it as well.
I'm using the n7 as a base for mako along with all the framework files but had to use the n5's apps. The problem with deb is that if you try to use non tablet apps, it breaks the multi user feature so that might not be am option there so a script or an app that replicates the setting and configure it to the network might have to be done

Just so you all know it was me who actually did all this stuff, @sykopompos is taking all the credit ? no but really without sykopompos and his wizardly ways there would be no way this would have gotten done. He was nice enough to help with the project, then "take it over" and get it done the right way. Make sure to give him a big thanks for taking time out of his day and working on this through the nights. Without him this might have never happened. Thanks a lot man!

No problem! I'm glad to contribute.
There are some issues of course like camera not working and microphone but on the majority of it works well.
Please do check if Google Play downloads apps properly!
Thanks!
Great Progress
Shaheer, your teamwork with Valera1978 have brought a fantastic improvement to this ROM in just a few days.
Most things are currently working:
- Bluetooth
- External SD Access (use SD KitKat Fixer for initiatial run)
- Root
- Google Play (Market)
- Stereo Sound
- Sync
- WiFi (though you need to manually login after reboot, R4 fix is not working)
- Cromecast (full screen transfer with #MirrorEnabler hack)
- init.d support (need installation)
- Text-to-speech
- Downloads
- Recent apps button (in navigation panel)
currently not working:
- PC mount (I tried everything I could think of - no go)
- Camera (causes system to crash - don't use)
- Screenshots
- Torch (Flashlight)
- GPS lock (can't get GPS lock, though works over WiFi, and I can't tell about voice guidance in Google Maps)
- Microphone (recording apps crash)
- Xposed Installer (att. causes black screen and will eventually crash, but you can still get it to work by insisting, I'm currently running about 15 MOD's - but it's a real hazzle at every new flash)
If there is a way to get the PC-mount to work, it would significantly help as the T900 is incredibly slow to wipe and format. To go from cm11 to stock and back to cm11 is a 45 min process, and this just to download and re-flash an update...But, you could of course use Google Drive or DropBox.
However, as I earlier stated, I'm really impressed of what it already can do, notably as this was done w/o access to a T900. Thanks a lot for all your efforts.

WOW! Thanks for the great list of things working & not working! :highfive:
About the Wifi not remembering password upon reboot, i've never had that on the CM for my Tab Pro 10.1. Will look into it! :good:
Thank You!
You're welcome. I've added a few more items to the list
The cm11 ROM is very light weight, just about an eight (1/8) of the stock touchwiz ROM, 226M to download and another 25M for a mini GApps. Boot time seens to be 3- 4x faster, and this feeling continues while running the ROM, everything mounts so much faster. Overall it's very smooth and responsive.
As soon as the PC mount is fixed, this will be a breeze, but it's already indespensible. Besides, I can always use DropBox, or Google Drive for file transfers.
Update coming in a bit. It will fix chromecast mirroring, recent menu, small things. :victory:
Uploading R4 right now!
Change-log in the meantime: (Remember little things )
Added Chromecast Screen mirror app built in thank to @r3pwn
Fixed Wifi losing password issues (Please test it out it should fix it but i'm not 100% sure)
Fixed Recent Apps Button
Please check if init.d support is working out of the box.

Yeah, CM does seem faster than touchwiz doesn't it. Not always the case though, I tend to like touchwiz better but sometimes it gets on my nerves too.

In R4, the WiFi connection is actually slightly worse than it was. At times it states disabled and you need to turn off Wifi and turn it on again and, bien entendu, manually enter your credentials again. Additionally, you still lose connection on almost every reboot. The same issue exist with the T-520 ROM, see posts #; 42, 43 and 112 in the T-520 forum.
However, the built in init.d support, SD Fix as well as the recent apps button all work well.
Additionally, I can confirm that there is no GPS lock.
I also installed Jeeko's MOD PurePerformances X and I'm at least under the impression that it runs even smoother now...
Anther alternative would be to try PMB Nitro X, but there was no uninstaller, or JustArchi's ArchiDroid Optimizations, but I couldn't figure out how to deploy it at 5am...
I also opted to install ViPER4Android Audio Effects in order to improve the sound in comparison with the built in DSP Manager.
When I get time, I will suggest a comprehensible list of tweaks, MOD's and tools, that will improve your performance, or make it a more enjoyable working environment. But, for the moment I need to concentrate on my upcoming final exam (9/27), and on getting a job thereafter. Once screenshots are working it will make more sense.

What's different between the camera used in the T525 and T520?
Wouldn't it be possible to port over crpalmer's "SM-T525 cm11.0 LTE" - (picassolte) camera to the T520, and maybe also some of the other broken parts?
Are there more things than the LTE capability that are different?
If the port from T525 to T520 works, it might also be possible to use in the T900...
Have you had any contact with crpalmer?
It seems like he has ordered a T520, and was interested in working on an Exynos based device.

Wouldn't it be nice to get a AOSP kernel to go with this ROM?
LibiSC's LibidinosoSC kernel for touchwiz T520 was a first break-though.
I hope that now when we have close to complete AOSP ROM's for the Exynos based devices. It would be nice to take a next step with one for cm11. Maybe, a fully working kernel could even solve some of the outstanding issues with the T520 and the T900 versions, it seems like LibiSC got some of this done with his kernel.

I ported the GPS fix to the T-900 ROM, but it did not work. I spent about 3/4 of an hour under open sky. I re-placed the files according to instructions, as;
system/bin/gpsd rwxr-xr-x
system/etc/gps.xml rw-r--r--
system/etc/gps.conf rw-r--r--
system/lib/hw/gps.default.so rw-r--r--
Unfortunately, I had no GPS lock, what-so-ever. I also tried applying the various "gps.conf" found in the "perfect solution" threads at XDA, but non of them succeeded in getting a lock, using GPS Status Pro
I'm sorry, but at least I tried my best...

Apparently it wasn't as easy as I thought, crpalmer explained that the cores are completely different between the T-525 and the T-520, one is qualcom, while the other is Exynos based. Apparently they are not at all compatible. Well, back to the drawing board...

I didn't get to it lastnight, but this is on my list for this weekend, without a doubt. Heading to a wedding/reception shortly that will last (hopefully) well into the night!
I was researching the best way to root the tablet. Seems there is still no way to root w/o tripping the KNOX flag, correct?
If not, I assume the steps at this the following thread are all that's needed?

I wrote a guide on how to root the T-900 a while ago, this is it.
Finally!
Thanks for all your hard work! Looking back at the thread you seem to be on your game regarding bug fixing.
About to take the plunge myself but wanted to ask the guys who have already flashed it.
I use my tablet all the time. Would you recommend R3 or R4 as a daily driver?
Great Job

Hello everybody,
I've just compiled PACMAN-ROM for my new Z3C. Current version is PAC-LP MR1 Beta2.
Device trees are CyanogenMod's so probably all device specific CM-bugs will be there too.
The boot.img inside the zip contains CM 12.1 kernel and "Cyanogen Recovery" (no backup right now!).
For alternative recoveries/kernels scroll down to "TESTED - WORKING"...
If the rom is stable for daily use (as I hope) I'm gonna build newer version periodically (depending on PAC & CM updates).

if anyone likes to test and find out, i uploaded version from july 4th.
2015-06-25:
New Version - updated CM & PAC sources. Some new PAC features there!
Version is PAC-LP MR1 Beta2 now. Unstable with crashes.

Flash it before or after installing the PACROM zip. It contains the zip's
kernel + DualRecovery. Installing the rom zip will overwrite recovery again
so for backups it might be necessary
to flash it always before installing a new zip, e.g.
2015-04-29:
- Screenshots
- Yes! I got it running. After some hours of use, it seems really smooth & snappy. No reboots.
- How I installed everything: Root on Kitkat stock rom, backup TA-partition, install
Dual-recovery, update to Lollipop rooted, make nandroid backup of hole system,
unlock bootloader, flash PACMAN boot.img, wipe data/caches,
flash PACMAN zip + GAPPS ... quite some hours of work.
TESTED - WORKING:
- 2G, 3G, 4G
- wifi, wifi hotspot
- bluetooth audio
- nfc
- usb otg
- GAPPS (mentioned below)
- titanium backup
- PAC customizations (not all tested)
- video playback on youtube, vlc, mxplayer
- camera & video recording
- GPS using Google Maps
- headphone sound
- XZDR recovery (version 2.8.15 not working): http://nut.xperia-files.com/
- FOTA TWRP recovery (persistent in fota kernel partition): http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-...12-nightly-t3010550/post58854063#post58854063
- M5 kernel (CM12.1 based): http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/orig-development/kernel-m5-kernel-t3115498
BUGS:
- phone call volume loud / not reducable in dialer app. (skype & whatsapp calls are alright) solved on 150512
- If alarm clock is set active -> reboot leads to normal shutdown -> deactivate alarm for that case
- photo: Little fish-eye effect on short distance (it's not that little actually)
NOT TESTED YET:
- encryption
Installation notes: Unlocked bootloader required
- flash boot.img (rashr on phone/ fastboot on pc), then boot into custom recovery
- wipe cache, wipe art/dalvik cache
- when coming from a different rom wipe data (factory reset)
- when changing between different gapps packages format system may be useful
- flash rom zip
- if needed flash gapps zip

Screen shots please...
I guess its a cm based. So we need unlocked bl right?

It's the same as any Lollipop based PAC ROM, so just search the web for pics.

I think PAC is AOSP & CM based. Custom kernel. Unlocked bootloader, yes.

Happy to build actually it's not that difficult with CM device support. Probably I'll build some monthly versions or so...

:good: In case of resurrection remix you only need to add/edit 1 file (local_manifest) to be able to compile a working rom. All the rest it just setting up ubuntu, init/sync repo an start building ...
Hmm it could be a reason to unlock bootloader.,)
XZDualRecovery

Just flash it before or after installing the PACROM zip. It contains the original kernel + DualRecovery. CyanogenRecovery really sucks, not even a way to make backups. Now we can
does this have a camera fix included, or does that need to be flashed separately? I don't have a backed up TA partition, so I rely on the fix for image processing (like many others on here, I'm sure).
thanks in advance and nice to see the ROM!

there's nothing like this included. as far as i know custom roms/ custom kernels can't handle drm keys from TA partition. not sure about flashable drm replacement, i don't think it will work, but maybe it does
perhaps someone knows more about this sony image processing stuff.
isn't that all software based? if so, i could imagine that a good camera app (FV-5 or something like) can bring the same results.
Great work mate. Been running a few hours with the updated boot.img
Hopefully there is no "memory leak"

That fix is only useful on stock Sony based rom's.
bugs update
(1) i found a small, almost funny bug. couldn't reboot to recovery today because phone always ended with shutdown. i desperately flashed the boot.img again but no change. only after deactivating everything i thought not being active at installation the problem disappeared.
well, it's the active alarm, that i use every morning ...
(2) in call volume issue seem's to be somewhere hidden in android_device_sony_z3c/audio/mixer_paths.xml of the repo. just in case someone likes to search
I have noticed a small bug, could be just me though. When rebooting while plugged in to the USB charger it goes as far as the Sony logo then freezes until I unplug it. How would I go about submitting a bug report for it?

Hi, thank's for that! I've just reproduced what you wrote. On my phone this is also connected to active alarm clock. It's rebooting fine when alarm is off. So, quite the same as my last post.
I have no suggestion about real bug reports, because of 2 reasons: this is an unofficial build, primarily for myself ... but shared. I would stop building if Z3C would get official PAC support. And I've just started building roms 2 months ago. So, I'm not having the skills (yet) for advanced debugging. Right now it's more like being voluntary apprentice  ... I'm gonna add your input it into 1st post.
For now stability of this rom is mainly dependent on PACROM itself and official CM support.
Im glad you could reproduce the same bug. I think you have done a great job mate. I'm loving this ROM and appreciate your efforts. I'm trying to figure the dev side of things myself, not having much luck yet.

Good job, m8!
Can someone post a picture, taken by camera on this phone with this rom ?
A picture of a door , or a wall, for example. Any picture featuring a rectangular shape with straight lines.
I had a broblem be4 on CM12 @z3c , the camera ( any camera app ) took pictures, distorting proportions, like there was a fisheye filter applied
