I have a problem 2 weeks ago about my phone wont turn off, everytime i turn it off, it just reboot or go into charging mode even i dont connect my charger,. it sometimes charge / discharge / not charging sometimes, but i usually goes on "not charging" if i don't charge it.. so it always awake and drain my battery fast..
so after a couple of cleaning and flashing different roms, it still not fix, then earlier this morning after i flashed neatrom, i found out that my imei is 09449999 or something but i do have working mobile data, and everything,.. but i used ktool to restore my old efsbackup that i back up when im on m250s (by the way, i flashed this to i9100 firmware using odin last year) first, i tried using the .tar but nothing happen after reboot, so i tried the image, then it reboot,. but now it wont load, just stuck on samsung logo, it turns off and goes to samsung logo again,.. i tried flashing other room, still boot loop.. please i need help
now i have problems with charging, imei and and bootloop :crying::crying: please help me

My phone was running at about 60% battery last night, and working fine. It was in my pocket and it vibrated. I was unable to turn it on or reboot it, even after removing the battery. I tried using the battery from my wife's S2 but still no luck. I tried connecting the power supply but it still wouldn't boot so I left it charging overnight.
This morning it alternately flashed a fully green battery and a fully black battery. If I press and hold the power button it starts the boot process - I get past the Samsung splash screen and see the first "Resurrection Remix" splash screen, but then it reverts to displaying the green battery.
Any ideas for how I can revive the phone??

Ok We cant say its bricked!! Because its booting up but not coming to homescreen rite? Are u able to get into recovery or download mode?? If ur able o then wipe the data cache and dalvik cache, reinstall the ROM again.. If Recovery doesnt shw up.. Then Use ODIN to flash original fw!! Even if u still couldn get it.. Order a USB JIG from Ebay and try getting into DOWNLOAD MODE!! Even after this its still working means ITS BRICKED !!
Start download mode and the flash a new stock firmware . And your phone isnt bricked .!
This is why I always make a backup.
If you can get into download mode you can fix it, if you can't it's a service centre job. Pretty simple really.
Try cleaning charging port..

Uh oh...I managed to get into Recovery mode, did a factory reset and kicked off a re-install of the Resurrection Remix ROM from the external SD and it's hung at 50% (for 10 mins now) - at the "Extracting /system..." stage. I daren't interrupt it.
Any ideas???
Yes stop messing
1: If you dint have to save anything, wipe better to full wipe
Flash a stock Rom using Odin, than start again with custom roms.
OR
2: download your custom Rom again and flash, might be corrupt download.

So it's OK to interrupt this ROM flash, even though it's stuck at 50%? Should I just hold the power button or remove the battery??
pull the battery
But I say flash stock Rom first, lengthy procedure I know, but safer
OK I decided to reflash RR 2.3, which had been running fine for a couple of weeks previously. Immediately after flashing (which worked OK) the boot process wouldn't complete - it got as far as the RR splash screen then died (screen blank, and needed a long press on the power button to restart).
This happened several times. Eventually I removed and replaced the battery and it finally booted.
Does this sound like a hardware problem? I've noticed that the phone often runs quite warm, but I don't know if that's normal.
You have to flash stock rom, only way to know if there is something wrong with your phone, run it for couple days.
Now to the heat issue, it is due to
1: modem
2: kernel
3: both
well hello guys my friend bricked my other friends well he tried to install a custom rom using odin and it lead the phone to be bricked there was a message saying firmware upgrade issue please connnect to kies and i dont remeber the rest but i followe a tutorial about how to fix it which was with odin flashin a cwm when i flashed the phone was turning one but only when it connects to charge and stuck on galaxy logo
well then after searching it turned out i need to flash it with omap well i did it but now i get "logo.jpg' draw failed
when i try to enter the download mode i get 'ani_upload_unknown_4_reset.jpg' draw error well i flashed the original sbl.bin params.lfs mho which i extracted from the stock firmware the same problem my theory its that it cant draw the images from the sbl.bin for some error and i cant use a jig to enter force dowload mode still i have to wait or my jig to arrive
so any ideas .. is it possible to edit the images on the sbl.bin or try to pass it so it wont load the images? any tips help please
did you flash the good firmware? the Galaxy s2 plus firmware and not the galaxy s2 firmware cause the phones are a bit different
and much people are doing that
I can't even flash any rom
...
The phone won't get in download mode but when I try t get and get the ani_upload_ jpg error it gets stuck at setup connection in Odin
Is theres any way to flash. A firmware with Omap ? Or kernel or anything that would make the phone gets on download mode

volume button up+Homebutton and 3 seconds power button?
check also this link out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261153

so you have now managed to get to odin and flashed the recovery.
if so if you install the rom and like that don't forget to wipe data/factory reset and wipe dalvik cache
efs has to do with baseband imei and like that and blackclouds if you manage to get into odin then i would say to flash the original stock firmware if the device is charged 100% and then later to flash philz kernel to root and then to install custom rom and remove yellow triangle with chainfire's app.
See further for Efs by this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308546 hope i could help you a bit without owning a Plus.

Maybe the hardware inside can't keep the step with the rom. And seemly your problem is serious, you'd better send to professional repair.
Good luck to you.
Hello,
I have a S3 which is stuck in a bootloop at the samsung logo.
when i turn it on it shows the logo for some seconds then the screen goes black and the logo re-appears.
i can not boot into recovery mode, but download mode is working without a problem every time.
i tried flashing stock firmwares with odin and also tried kies emergency firmware recovery. the flashing always went without any problem, but it had effect. whatever i try, i am never able to boot into recovery and still stuck in the bootloop.
in some tries after flashing the screen just shows the samsung logo forever, but after rebooting it once it then is stuck in a bootloop again (shows the logo - screen goes black - shows the logo...)
i also tried flashing TWRP and CWM via odin, but again i can never boot into recovery mode.
what should i try next?
thx alot for any helpful comment

You can Try this:
1.) Pull out battery
2.) Put it in again
3.) Press Vol up + home + power
4.) When the Samsung Logo appears let it off
I think you press the Buttons too long.
I had the same problem!

i really tried everything, it's not working. btw with i am stuck at the very first image, where it says "samsung Galaxy sII GT-I9300".
i dont think it's just the way i press the buttons because i can reach it on my s1 and s2 without a problem, it's just not working on this device.
could some setting like "nand erase all" in odin help? in other threads there is sometimes mentioned that the internal file system might be screwed up and in those cases a simple odin reflash does not help anymore...
Nand erase will usually hard brick it. Try the rescue firmware from general forum, sticky thread. Follow the guide exactly as it includes a pit file.

thx, but i already did that (multiple times) and flashing via odin always succeeds. then the phone reboots and is stuck at the first samsung galaxy s.. screen. twice i managed somehow to get into recovery (after flashing cwm6) but it then randomly rebooted.
and i dont think that the power button is stuck because when i am in download mode it is perfectly fine it never reboots itself unexpectedly.
Had a similar issue on my tab2 p3100. It all happened when I tried flashing a custom recovery from rom manager.
A bad flash of anything related to recovery or bootloader could be a probable cause.
I remember a knowledge share on one of the threads describing this issue and as mentioned on it all I had to do is this:
1) switch off the device and plug in the charger. This would light up the display showing you the charging status. The status has to show if at least your bootloader part of the phone is fine.
2) plug out the charger and immediately press the three buttons (home + vol up + power) get into recovery mode. This step has to work and help you get to recovery mode.
***Note : the interval within which this step has to be performed is too short since the display would turn off immediately as soon as you plug out the charger. A bit tricky too so you have to be fast. If this misses getting you into recovery, pull out the battery and put it back again. Repeat step1 and 2 again.
3) upon successfully getting into recovery, perform wipe data, cache and select reboot phone from option available on recovery again.
Allow the device to boot. This could take a while since you have performed a data wipe and may prompt for first time set up.
I was able to restore functionality on my tab after these steps and like ppl learn from their mistakes, I then learnt that recoveries and bootloaders are things that needs to be done with a pc only.
Worth a try if you have tried other alternatives and found no go. may help. Who knows..
all the best.
thats also not working. i tried to get into recovery since two days now...
i also tried the steps from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/solved-pit-bricked-dead-problem-gt-t2535367
but again, after i flash the cf-root (successfully) the phone does neither boot into recovery by itself nor can i do it by hand...
its crazy... in download mode i can see the model number (GT-I9300) and i thought as long as the model number is there and i can enter download mode there should be a way to recover the device.
but i cannot think of anything to try that i have not done yet
If the rescue firmware didn't help then it looks like the emmc chip is damaged.

is there a way to make certain of this? how can i tell if it is really a hardware damage and not just a software brick?
i just dont want to let the phone go, it looks still so shiny
is there anything else that could cause the phone not booting into recovery mode after flashing custom recoveries?

Same here, still didn't found how to fix it.. I guess our motherboard just died..
Howewer I have a solution that "almost" worked for me.
Get a stock firmware in odin and turn on Nand erase and T-flash
When it's done phone reboots and you'll see just "Downloading..." mode when you turn it on.
Then got to Kies and Select firmware recovery...
Enter s/n and model name and wait for the flash to complete.
With it , I got past boot logo and actually booted into android but the phone crashed because I guess I have a memory issue..
Well , gl. If you don't find anything else helpful , try going with this method..
Hi there,
I am new to android phone and I had an old Grand Quattro GT-I82552 to play with.
I followed the guide at xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494471, downloaded
- ODIN v3.07
- CWM Recovery v6.0.4.5
- Stock Recovery GT-I8552
I followed the steps and flash CWM Recovery v6.0.4.5, but on next boot it won't go to CWM recovery mode (I did removed battery first). I tried many times with other CWM from different sources and now my phone won't boot, it just show up the Samsung Logo with yellow triangles, then shutdown. It doesn't look like a loop boot, as it shutdown entirely. I can't charge the phone either.
I can still go in the usb downloading mode so I flashed the stock recovery, no luck, phone still can't boot.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
EDIT: I found out that I was too careless to noticed that Volume UP is required for boot into CWM, instead as Volume DOWN. So I can boot into CWM now, however I supposed I can withhold my SuperSU install, and just boot into my stock Samsung appearance by normal shutdown and startup of my phone? I can't, everytime I tried to power on, it get's me to empty battery screen then shut off. I can't seem to charge the phone as well.
Have you tried charging the phone for a few hours while in recovery mode, and then turn the device on?

Thank you for your suggestion I will try that. Actually I tried to splice a USB wires and connect red/black to +/- contact for the battery and charge it for few hours, it doesn't seem to get hot, and certainly the phone still can't switch on with the battery.
Initially I thought maybe I messed up the firmware (really I only flash cwm) hence the phone's battery charge controller is not working that's why I tried external charging, but I am not too sure now.
My only hope is to get a way to verify I have enough battery power so I can flash the stock recovery in "downloading mode". I dare not flash recovery without full battery, though the download mode can be accessed while I plugin into PC's usb port.

Don't worry your phone will charge while in recovery around 2% in 6-7 minutes. After that you can flash stock os via Odin. Next time you try to flash recovery don't check auto reboot in Odin when flashing of tar file will complete remove battery and boot to recovery. Then flash supersu

Thanks for your advice. I took both of your advice and had my phone flashed with Stock ROM and now it returned to normal with fully charged battery sign shown. My battery appears to be fine with and fully charged, the battery current probably can't be detected with my broken phone back then.
With StockROM in and fully battery, I redo the custom flashing and I am now on custom ROM! Though have some problem with the ROM (battery report not correct, no front camera..) but I am happy now the phone is back to work now.
Thank you very much.
