Unable to install MODULE, it says (please view the screen capture I posted in the thread)
Hi guys, I have a problem regarding my A13 android tablet device. It doesn’t matter if I will post the brand name of my tablet or whatever because what I only wanted to fix is this. When I follow every instruction written at this link, and following instructions 1-7, after reaching step 5 execute run.bat.
It displays the following image I screen captured. (And my tablet doesn’t reboot, it’s the sign that the computer can’t access my tablet.
View attachment 2445500
Obviously, my tablet is connected to the computer via USB cable after running the run.bat as administrator.
But what is the problem why it is happening to me. What can I do for this?
(Additional information: I already installed and followed this instruction on this same device with no error at all. But why does it happened to me even I installed this with success before. I don’t know and I know that I don’t change any system file on my tablet before, and I don’t know because, I have no idea why it happened? I didn’t change any file or modify file neither on my tablet nor from my PC.)
I hope there is an expert who can answer my question and give to me a solution. Thank you in advance if there is.

You need to install ADB. I'll report the post to the moderators to get this post in the right section.
I will continue searching for that

Alright then thanks for the clue, it’s almost 3 days now since I nonstop looking for solution for this problem. I know that it’s a harsh to think that even a simple problem like was I don’t know how to search and fix. I hope you understand that I am almost losing my hope to solve this problem. At least when because I have written and shared my question on this forum. At least I found new idea again.
I never expect that the answer is only to install ADB.
That is my next goal now, to search how to enable ADB on my PC. I know that this problem that I need to fix was only from my PC, because the USB debugging mode on my tablet setting is already activated. And I checked that a dozen of times already.
And if you found something about my post was not in a right section. Then it’s a thankful for me if you can help me with that, because this is just the first day of my life that I started using this site, except for reading a thread as a guest.
It didn't work
I already installed adb using this tutorial on the link <--- (I’m sorry I can't provide the link outside of this site because, I am a new user yet.) But still, because my tablet problem is the touch screen that’s why I am trying to install the module to fix my device touch screen. But the most important part was that from what I need is to touch/tap on a notification area on tablet to activate the “usb mass storage” button.
My PC can’t detect my tablet because I didn’t tap the “usb mass storage” button yet.
And I can’t tap it because that’s it, I need to install the module first to fix the Touchscreen to allow me activate the button. Oh God, this is so terrifying event.
:crying: :crying: :crying:
Did you try booting into recovery?

Yeah, my tablet can boot to recovery mode. Everything is okay from my tablet. The only problem was the touch screen and the unable me to install module by running the run.bat file.
The only way that I can boot to recovery is by using a USB laptop mouse. And entering settings>Backup & reset>Recovery Mode.
Tonight is the 4th day of my problem. And still I’m stuck up from Touch Screen Problem.
Is there any other way aside from using that module just to fix my touch screen?
I am not good using Linux, so if incase the other way to fix this was by using linux operating system. Then maybe, I should stick to using this module.
Hello XDA community, this is my first thread, i had never needed to post anything cause i always find everything im searching for in this awesome community... until now :crying:
Last week I got a new android device which is made by Polaroid, model: PSPR355, its a pretty low class device but I thought it would be enough for me.... then i realize I needed root permissions, for obvious reasons... easy I thought... i had rooted many devices...how hard can it be...right?... WRONG! :crying: . The first problem I encountered were the drivers..couldnt find em anywhere... fortunatelly i found a tutorial were i could install the drivers in a different way...although I took 2 days to do this...Ive been about 5 days trying to root my phone.... Ive tryied about 10 different programs with their different versions... and any of those rooted my phone, nor Oneclikroot, nor Unlockroot, etc, etc..... I really gave up trying to find something on the web cause i didnt even find the phone on its official site, so I came her defeated asking for any solution, idea, or if you want to help me with commands, a programm or anything else to root my phone, Im not even afraid of trying programming (Im trying to learn how to make roms, kernels, etc for this phone cause theres nothing on the web abou it but this is a theme for another time) if you wanted to help me i would really appreciate it, im a little desperate so anything would come useful thanks everyone and I hoppe you can help me!!! :fingers-crossed:

I would recommend trying the towelroot application. It can be downloaded from here, just click on the orange lambda to download the tr.apk file. Then open towelroot follow the instructions in the application. After the device reboots I would recommend downloading, Root Checker Basic form the Play Store and running that to make sure your device is rooted. Finally install SuperSU, and you should be good to go.
First thanks for answering so fast shimp208! And I guess I forgot to tell that I was in Mexico and Im using Telcel's network, I downloaded and installed the apk file but it doesnt starts I click the button pops up a black screen and then closes to the last app I used...any idea about this error...or if its beacuse of the carrier, by the way the device has Android 2.3.7 I dont know if it has something to do with this error

Does it present an error message of any kind before it force closes? Try uninstalling and then re-installing the application, and if that doesn't work go to application manger under settings, find the towelroot application and select the options to clear it's cache and data. The carrier won't have any effect in this case, and with it being Android 2.3.7 your device most definitely has a kernel build date before June 3rd, 2014.

No it simply closes without showing anything, and without even giving the "Force Close" message, i thought it was because i first installed it on the sd card, or because of not enough space but no, I moved it to the phone and uninstalled some apps I had, I uninstalled and installed towelroot twice and it didnt work, I installed the v1 of it and i got to the [make it ra1n] screen but when I click the button it closes immediately again without any error message

Very interesting, while in theory the app should work for any kernel build date earlier then June 3rd, 2014 the app many not be compatible with devices running an Android version less then 4.x.

Since you have the usb drivers working on your computer, try booting into the bootloader and using fastboot to see if the command fastboot devices returns anything. If the computer see's the device in fastboot that's a good sign. If your device doesn't have a locked bootloader which it likely doesn't, then I can try and create a rooted system image for you to flash in fastboot. Provided fastboot see's your device if it does, if you can provide me an adb dump of your /system folder then I will see what can be done.
Interesting for me.,.

Unfortunately if fastboot doesn't show your device without any other flashing utility, even with the system dump there is no way to flash a rooted system image if it was created.
Got to see if this guys do the trick!

Since your computer recognizes the device and installed the driver and shows the device when in fastboot mode that's a good sign. The Android with the exclamation point is part of normal stock Android system recovery, it just means that the recovery menu has been hidden (You should be able to get the menu to appear by pressing the power and both the volume buttons in recovery mode). To dump /system run the following command:
Code:
adb pull /system
Then please send me a link to the /system dump, from there I will make a rooted system image.
Factory Rooted??
Hey guys I'm new to this so I may be wrong but has anybody thought to check if the Polaroid PSPR355 comes Factory Rooted??? I had a Polaroid Tablet, PID something(I forget the name), which I tried for hours to root resulting in: bootloop, hard reset, root, bootloop, hard reset, root, bootloop, hard reset, about to give up. So I Googled how to root Polaroid PID something (again, I forget the name), and I come to a post somewhere(forgot that too) that tells me my Tablet and similar Polaroid electronic devices(as well as most electronic devices coming from China) are factory rooted due to some Chinese law. So after the last hard reset, I downloaded HowToRoot App to check if my Polaroid Tablet is, in fact, rooted. I press the little lock button(root checker) and I find that, to my surprise, my Polaroid Table is in fact rooted. So all I had to do was download SuperSU from Google Play Store and Update Binary when prompted and I was Super User. Don't know if this helps but it worked for me.

As an alternative, is there a way to install CM-10 or CM-11 on it? (yeah, I expect if no developers have one here, it might be difficult to develop an image for it). For now I haven't needed to root it, as it's doing what I need for now, but if I want to start moving apps (or app data) off to a microSD card, I may need a root or CM1x version (and Google needs to be *smacked* for disabling SDcard functionality in later Android versions).
I have just purchased one of these NB7022S tablets from Staples as well. I have unsuccessfully been trying to root it for the last couple of days. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have one of these Nobis NB7022s tablets as well, but the screen has been broken. So since the tablet isn't usable in it's current state, would it be of use to someone to do a teardown/analysis of the device in order to make a CyanogenMod port to it?
success
Just rooted the nb7022s using kingo root. First download the android software developer kit on your pc then open the sdk manager and download every possible update in order to have the correct drivers, not sure which one did the trick because i just downloaded everything. Then in your tablet go to settings-about tablet- then scroll down to build number and click 7 times to unlock developers options on the main settings screen. Go to developers options and turn it on and enable usb debugging. Plug tablet into your PC and install and run kingoroot. Should connect and root your tablet and automatically install superuser. Now I just need to figure out what version of clockworkmodrecovery to flash as recovery because this tabket does not have a supported cwmr, any help on that would be awesome because i dont want to brick my very first rooted device lol. Hopefully this info might help another newbie like myself.
thanks buzzdb666 for the tip on rooting. However, now every time I turn off the tablet and on, it always does a factory reset/wipe so I have to reinstall everything . Wondering if you've encountered the same thing?
Would be an interesting experiment to try, but again, the tablet has a broken screen, and I can't have a mouse *and* a connection to the computer at the same time. I had thought I could at least get the debug info from the tablet in case someone wants to develop an image for a non-broken unit. Once again, it's available if any XDA developers would like to use it for tear-down or testing, since I can't do much with it otherwise. Unless there's a way to extract what someone would need via a microSD card.
Mine is doing the same thing after using Kingo Root. Not sure what can be done since I can't go backwards now.
Hey guys. I've rooted a few phones before, but I've recently purchased this Posh Equal S700a phablet running Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat. However, I cannot root this device for anything in the world. I asked in the XDA assist forum and was directed to this subforum. I've searched around the internet and can barely find anything on the phone, let alone a proper rooting method for it. Does anyone know of a way to root this phone? So far I've tried:
iRoot
-----------
I've tried both the mobile APK and Windows application. The Windows application doesn't detect my phone, even though I have the drivers properly installed. Only USB_DIAG shows next to the picture of the iPod USB cable, but when I click the button to start the rooting, it says no phone is found. The mobile version of the app claims that the phone has been successfully rooted when I press the Root Now button, but the phone never actually roots. Sometimes I will get their version of the SuperUser app installed to my device, but after running a Root Checker app, it says that my phone still isn't rooted. As a matter fact, if I run the iRoot SuperUser app, it will even tell me that the phone isn't rooted and that I will need to run the iRoot application again to reroot the device (but this never works).
Kingo
---------
Kingo actually detects my device and gets to the rooting process. However, when I get to the fastboot menu, the phone will reset once more into the fastboot mode, then restart one last time to take me back to the homescreen. By that time, the Kingo pc app will say that the process has timed out and ask for an email address so that they can send the report to the developers.
Root Genius
---------------
Did 15 minutes of resetting and installing suspicious looking apps. I deleted them and ran a virus scan after the application failed. Anyway, the application kept saying that it successfully added files and was transferring the necessary root files to my phone, etc. Every 5-10%, the device would reset and keep attempting to do the same thing before ultimately quitting at around 80% and saying something along the lines of "Your phone is really tough, do you want to manually root?". From there I get directed to a site in Chinese.
Towel Root
----------------
Device not supported
FramaRoot
--------------
Device not supported
There was also another oneclick flash tool that I tried, but I can't remember the name of it right now. I will have to check when I get back to my Windows desktop. That app also hung early in the process as well after detecting the phone and identifying the basic info such as model number etc.
Did you ever figure this out?
I just go the S700A as a backup phone and would like to root it or upgrade to 5. Did you every figure it out?

somebody knows how update or find stock firm for this phone?
I rooted using Dr.fone, now I need a ROM - help XDA, please!
6/16/18: I had Dr.fone installed on myPC so I USB'd into my Posh Mobile Equal L700 and the app found it. It did give me choice of only a "Mediatek" or "Samsung" phone. I was brave and chose Mediatek. The app ran for awhile then showed Root Successful.
Just to check I downloaded RootChecker app from Google Play Store and it shows the phone is rooted. Also, Malwarebytes now keeps giving me the message it is rooted and may be unstable (Oh yippee, that makes me feel good....not.)
Now I am stuck at flashing a new ROM on this device and can't find one that works. Search on YouTube for ROM for Posh Mobile Equal L700 by Sheena Rodriguez - I am prevented from including the actual URL in this posting b/c I have not done 10 posts yet. However, every time I try it, (and apparently I am to download directly into my phone and not into my PC then use a USB to get it to work, but I'm trying that next, even though I have no idea if that is a real "thing"), it comes with a "blocker" page that tells me I need to "try" one of two apps and then the install will finish. That seems way off to me.
Does anyone out there have a reliable ROM to refer me to? I am absolutely raw new to this so I really need a "do this FIRST, second, etc." instructions.
P.S. - a tech from Posh Mobile just told me this phone is no longer supported, even though I'm still within my one-year warranty, and then when I questioned him further he told me Posh Mobile no longer exists. I think the phone itself has decent bones and could still have a lot of life in it, but it REALLY needs a new ROM....
Help!
-sincerely, geogat.
Hi,
I'm brand new to this forum and my name is Jessy, and it's my pleasure to be here!
I recently bought this AT&T GoPhone (for around $29) at Walmart, and I was following this guide to allow me to use my SD Card as an internal memory storage unit for my phone, but I found out that I need to unlock the Bootloader, install TWRP, SuperSU and Link2SD apps to the SD card and my phone. Since this smart phone is similar to the Idol 3, could I use this method to unlock the Bootloader for my phone or do I have to try a different approach?
I appreciate your time and I look forward to contribute further to these forums! Thanks again!

I picked one up on Black Friday, and decided to root it. I was only able to install an older version of SuperSU though (v2.46). First I had to install the PC version of KingRoot (It's in Chinese I believe, but middle button is always "next" or "yes"), root the phone, and then replace KingRoot with SuperSU. Took me a few tries.
This is the guide I used from the forum:
SuperSU Me_6.4.apk
KingRootSetup v3.2.0.1129.exe
1. install kingrootsetup on pc(must have internet connection to work)
2. connect ur phone with ADB enabled from developers option
3. root ur phone by following on screen instructions...
4. after rooting, install supersume on phone
5.open the app, click on big blue button and wait...
done,replaced kingroot with supersu..

My Alcatel Ideal 4060A froze a few times during the removal of KingRoot, but all I did was: turn off the phone, remove the battery, and finish the procedure once the phone was on. The phone was only $10 on Black Friday, so you could say it was only an experiment on my part. Unless it's a really good phone, where you can go to the manufacture's website and download the original firmware and install it through your PC, there's not much you can do to unbrick a cheap phone that is practically unknown.

Thank you Mario for your help! I'm having a little trouble having my phone being recognized by Kingroot, although I have ADB enabled from the developers option, it seems not to pickup my phone still. I'm still trying though and I'll let you know if I get it to work properly, and perhaps document my mistake so others following this post who happen to have the same problem could know what to do.

*UPDATE*
Just wanted to update that I found out what was my mistake, which is a really simple and basic mistake, I apologize!
What I did was that after I had enabled ADB through my phone, it was already connected to my PC right after I had downloaded Kingroot, so my solution here was simple. I turned off my phone first, then I turned it back on while still connected with Kingroot still running then Kingroot finally read my phone and it rooted it as you outlined. Thanks again for your help, it is too valuable for me!
Here's the guide that I'm following so that I could install more apps to the phone through my 64 GB SD card if you guys were interested, to make the phone more useful, and I also installed my obama phone SIM card on it as well (from lifeline wireless, because hey why not? )

No problem. I'm glad you got the phone rooted. I originally picked up the phone to use as an MP3 player, so I removed most of the unnecessary stock apps with "System app remover (ROOT)", but now that I see how good the phone is (at that price), I plan to use it as a backup phone. It even has a notification LED light for unopened messages LOL; anyway, good luck.
My Alcatel bricked too using this method stuck at boot logo and does nothing... Any fix?
Thanks for writing rooting method for Alcatel 4060a Ideal Pop445. Need some help

I have unlocked the bootloader from the hidden developers options in the settings app. I haven't found any thing useful to root my new Alcatel Ideal 4060a (Pop 445) (at&t unlocked). There are tons of bloatwares and many apps that I can't transfer to sd card. I hope you two can help me out here as I don't want to brick my device.
Question 1: Do jessy did something wrong(regarding your given steps to root) that makes her device rooted OR she has just been lucky? Because someone just posted that he/she has bricked his/her device.
Should I go ahead and try my luck with your method you there would be some advice you would like to give?
Question 2: If I would be able to root this device, would I be able to install Android 6.0 Marshmellow?
Don't root this yet

I have rooted with Kingroot 5; latest windows version on their website. Now I'm working on replacing it with Supersu or Supersu-me.
I think there always be some solution as far as you are seeing something on your phone's screen.
Just a note from another user with an Alcatel Ideal 4060a... (got for $10 from Best Buy on Black Friday)
Don't try using King-O-Root, then proceed to install Super SU from Google Play. It works that first launch, but on rebooting...
It's permanently bricked. And yes, I tried everything, including adb, recovery (doesn't have an option to flash a rom), from-pc flashing (wouldn't connect/wasn't recognized by adb or the other tools), fastboot (wouldn't launch), etc.
I don't know about the alternate Kingroot app, though. That probably works as some people have said it does for this model.
I was stupid and assumed King-O-Root would work as well, since it seems pretty generic and worked for another phone. I've learned my lesson and will now only follow guides for the specific phone model I have.
Why am I even writing this if it's a different rooting app? Cause I spent 6 hours just to end up killing one of my phones, and this is my best attempt at feeling like there was some worth to the waste. (the chance of preventing someone else the misfortunate, and just ranting)
Anyway, I'm going to bed. (So annoying because I only barely was brash enough to go ahead without a phone-specific guide--was on the fence, but landed on the unfortunate side) Argh! Argh! Argh!

Any solution for this? I want to replace King-O-Root with Super SU.
None that I know of.
I have another Android phone that I was also trying to get root on, and that one gets it temporarily using King-O-Root as well, but I'm too paranoid to try to make it permanent on that second one. Losing both my Android phones would be too painful.
If anything, I guess try the KingRoot program, from the pc, and then use the "SuperSU Me" app, as the person on the first page of this thread described. That way worked for at least one person apparently. (though the poster just after said it bricked theirs, so beware)
By the way, is your root from King-O-Root temporary (till restart) or permanent? I installed Super SU during the same launch I used King-O-Root, so I never got to see whether King-O-Root itself would have worked as a permanent (though non-ideal) solution. (I know that on my other Android phone it's temporary)
King-O-Root = Bricked Phone
KingRoot5 = Root Successful + it is possible to replace with SuperSU

Recovery Retrieved!
I was able to pull the recovery from this phone. Can someone make TWRP for this device using the stock recovery?
Here is the actual recovery image file that I pulled:
(Forgot my old XDA password, had to make another account. Can't post links)

Did you manage to unlock the bootloader? If not then you cant flash anything and building twrp would be useless.

I pulled the boot file. Could someone maybe look at that? I cannot boot to the bootloader.
I could try to flash_image twrp to the recovery and try that.
I got this phone on black friday, shortly after I got root with kingroot 5 pc and it was all great, however I got greedy and replaced kingoroot with supersu :silly:. First reboot and it goes into boot loop. Now its been sitting in a drawer. I think that purify deleted some app it looks at boot.
It looks like the simplest way to get a restore is 'IF' TCL/Alcatel does an update, someone intercepts the signed zip file, then that zip file could be distributed and used with the stock restore.
Hopeful everyone here can work a better solution... thanks for all your hard work everyone.
yes u r right
many time happen with me, Happen with me on asus KA10, But i got fastboot update img lucky. hope that u will get Fast boot image some day or we may able to get recovery for this device . in that case your your phone may start working
