Downloaded and installing as we speak, looks like they released it 30 seconds before midnight.

Downloading and installing now. Guessing it hit west side about 9 pm. Checked at 857 and nothing again at 910 and it was there.

Yep. Getting it here in mobile, al

I had a feeling they'd do this. Just like before. Release it at night then have it on our phones the next morning. Oh well, still surprised as Verizon was the first. Hats off to them

I tried survival mode in SuperSU but it gave me an error during the update. Then again, the error is still happening after I turned it off.

Word is Voodoo RootKeeper wont work, but supersu pro may.... trying now

And there it is..

Sign-in error for "blank"@gmail.com

Hey guys just a heads up, i've heard many people complaining about a Sign-in error for on our phones. Just throwing this out there as it doesnt seem to be rom specific. I'm getting it running venom rom, I saw someone on cm10 getting it, and lastly my galaxy tab 2 has the error and whenever I try to sign it it just gives me a server error... So yeah, just a heads up
Also it seems that I can still access gmail and other google related things....

Yeah same. Its been going on for a little while now. I'm guessing its the Maps app because I never had any issues before it.
I'm stock and rooted T-Mobile GS3.

That's all it was? An update for the people app? That is strange. wouldn't be surprised if they added in a fix for the bootloader exploit and/or root exploit too.
Edit: I thought it was like an OTA OS update, now looking it seems it's just HTC's way of updating system apps I guess?

Been Deployed, need help on root and update

Howdy all. Been a long time since I have been on here. I have been Deployed with the military for a few months. I haven't don't the latest update. In fear of messing my phone up while in some god forsaken country. Lol. I was wanting some advice on what I should do. I wanna keep my root, that's for sure. Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
Depends on what version you're on and even then that's not much of a big deal if you're already rooted.
You can simply make a backup in recovery and flash a newer rom. If for some reason something goes wrong it's as simple as restoring your backup.
What may get a little tricky is whether or not you need to flash an updated radio. That depends on what version you're on now.
In your shoes, I'd go ahead and make a backup of your current rom, flash a newer rom and then see how that runs. If you don't have service/data then look into flashing a newer radio.

Did you just gain root, or did you unlock the bootloader with casual? If you used casual you can flash a newer rom.

There is a very simple root process for any version of the I605. I have had this kraken since it released and done every update then rooted not too far after. Just do some reading on what build you would prefer. In my opinion I would update to the latest then root but that's just one dude. Best of luck and kcco

I just have root access. I ha e had it since about April or so. I didn't even know the bootloader was unlocked. Sweet. I had the OG Droid and then the Bionic when it came out till this dream came out. I loved having the bootloader unlocked on my OG Droid.
I guess I better start reading up on new ROMs. Lol. Anyone have any preferences. I used liquids on my other phones and a couple others. I tried the slim ROMs and didn't care to much for them.

Weird blue bar in apps (e.g. Gmail)

I have had a weird issue with a mysterious blue bar that shows up in some apps... Including Gmail... when I search or otherwise initiate the action bar. I am currently on CM 10.1.3 stable, for the third time... Using up to date GAPPS. But I have also tried other ROMs and all of them seem to have this "issue" that only I and a few other people have... And no one has found a fix yet AFAIK.
Here is a screenshot:

It's driving me insane. I know I'm OCD but I would do almost anything to make it go away. It's persistent in every ROM I've tried... except bone stock. I flashed back to MDK via Odin and it was not present there... But seems to be in every other AOSP ROM I try...
... Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

No love? Just an update:
I odin-ed back to stock... Wiped and re-rooted and re-flashed (fresh downloads too) multiple roms. This issue persists. Has anyone seen something similar? If so, do you know of any fix?
Thanks in advance!

yes I have it too. no I don't think its fixable its just like the YouTube bar glitch which Google couldn't fix so they just removed it. my guess is that this bug is the same kind of issue

Is it that the first result is cut off or the inset video at the bottom is black? Sorry it wasn't obvious... I don't use YouTube all that much unless I go straight to a video.

Wifi penetration testing app for note 3?

Hi I'm trying to test my wifi security and am wondering if anyone knows of a working app with the sprint note 3 rooted. I ask because my computer is out of commission right now and learning this for my phone would be a cool thing also. Love to learn what new things my awesome gadgets can do lol.

Try dsploit
Better yet install Kali if there is an arm distro if not then the last build of back track. You can Google how. But u would need a specific OTG WiFi radio/chip set to make full use of it, AFAIK.
