Probably. Let me know if you figure out how to "delete touchwiz."
I don't see why deleting the update wouldn't work but just to be safe I'm gonna wait to see if someone else already successfully deleted touchwiz

I don't see just deleting the update working, nor would I try it. I'm new to Samsung devices and TouchWiz but if it's anything like HTC and Sense when you download, except and install an update that update rewrites the Rom its self.
I know on a stock HTC EVO4G you could roll back an update by finding and installing an older RUU. An RUU is a stock image of your device that can be pushed to your device(in this case a EVO) that is basically what either was installed at the factory or was/is an image of the previous stock rom version. And if I remember correctly it didn't really matter if your device was rooted or not. Of course ourselves if it was rooted, it would break root. That was until HTC added and locked down the new bootloader.... But that's a decision for another forum and thread.
Again I'm new to Samsung and TouchWiz and haven't had the time lately to really really dig into the Tab to see what makes it work.

got an htc evo 3d gsm through rogers wireless in canada, and it still hasn't received an update from market to play store. Have rooted it, but still on a stock rom. Also have an acer liquid e rooted and with cm7 installed, and a rooted galaxy tab 10.1 everything is through rogers, and both the liquid and the tablet have updated to play. It hasn't caused any problems without the update yet, so not a huge issue, but if anyone has any ideas, they would be appreciated

Well, i found the site for that, but as i haven't done much with the evo, as in, i'm running the stock rom (2.3.4), i have to ask.. Does it matter which one i download? I see some for ics, and some for gb. Are these compatable with stock rom, and can i just download the latest gb version on the goo.im/gapps page?

1. Install VooDoo OTA Root Keeper, make sure all boxes are checked (may have to reinstall superuser and grant to the app)
2. Reboot, double check VooDoo OTA Root Keeper again has all checked boxes, then tell it to save root
3. Defrost/Enable AT&T Software Update, download it and apply

I suppose that would be some actual profit. There were some users stating that this method would work for our phone in other threads but most of us don't want to risk it or be without a custom recovery in the first place. But something like this, for me, will be given a shot later on today when my AT&T S4 arrives

get titanium backup and freeze/backup+uninstall SDM that will keep updates from happening. (only for stock rom, once you install a rom it won't be a problem all roms have SDM disabled by default)
you can now flash any touchwiz rom however unless your cwm is loki'd you can't flash aosp roms (such as cyanogen mod, MIUI, aokp...)
so basically if you are not lokied you can flash only roms on the android development board if you ARE lokied you can flash those AND the ones in the ORIGINAL android development board.

You can not downgrade, and attempts to do so will potentially trip your KNOX counter. At the very least you'll end up soft-bricked and have to do a repair install....of 4.3.

Meat & Potatoes:
I tried ODINing my GN2 back to stock 4.1.2 tonight - I rooted it a couple months ago. Did not install a custom ROM, just rooted (the process also replaced the Recovery).
Tried ODINing back to stock using the files and information found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024207
When I run ODIN, it simply fails. Tells me "0 succeeded / 1 failed". Phone still works, I just can't get anywhere in the rolling back to stock bit.
Longer Version:
I've had the phone since the end of January 2013. I rooted it for a couple of reasons, mostly to get rid of bloatware, but also for an app or two that needed root access. I've had zero problems with usability or stability of the device before or since the rooting.
I couldn't tell you which root process I used, but I know it came from an XDA thread, and it automatically replaced the recovery with something touch-based. I'm not sure of the name of the recovery. It did not replace the ROM - I've had less than desirable results from using non-stock ROMs in the past on a handful of other devices, so I wasn't about to risk it.
Since VZW is rolling out the 4.3 update and it looks like a good deal, I want to get my phone back to non-rooted, non-custom-recovery'd state so I can install the update. I'm also doing it because I'm hoping they get the phone up to 4.4 down the line so I can use HCE and GWallet.
Currently, I'm downloading (very slowly, thanks sammobile, for not hosting files on your own servers) the stock VZW 4.3 package from Sammobile.com in hopes I can do something with that and just go straight up from where I am, but I'm not holding my breath since the OTA fails due to the custom recovery.
Any thoughts on what I might try differently to get ODIN to work?
Guys I had the same issue. What I did to resolve my issue is:
1. Get the Verizon upgrade assistance installed on your PC . Here's one from scoobysnack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47368638&postcount=7&nocache=1&z=2813086102250963)
2. Boot to download mode
3. plug in USB and wait for the update message on your PC
4. Update should take about 30-40 min depending on your connection speeds.
5. once updated, your phone should boot back to normal, but you will LOSE everything and have to start all over.
Hope this helps.
