Just a heads up, your title says it's for the LS970 :silly:
Thanks for all the hard work of course! :good:
EDIT: Now that you've got that all fixed up, feel free to let me know if you need the second post for something productive
Is this a lot different from the houstonn's rom?

So, I'm not able to open the downloads page... Is it just me, or is there something up?
Oh sorry, It's not houstonn's rom, brothaedhung is who mantain it. What I wanted to know is, brothaedhung made a flashable zip that makes his rom compatible with houstonn's adreno kernel, is it safe to flash it to this new official rom? Should I ask this in brothaedhung thread? Btw, thanks for your contribution.

But what's funny is that every time you try to click on the file link, the DL counter goes up. I thought it was working at first when I saw all the downloads, but it's counting every click whether successful or not. Must be hosted on the Obamacare server! LOL.

adreno kernel
Well, I tried flashing adreno drivers and kernel. Not working, just got a black screen. Flashed PAC again, working great so far. Do you think it will be possible to create a working zip to enable adreno kernel?
EDIT: Dont know if a bug or not, but Im getting a graphics flickering when using the keyboard.

Same here. Black screen and all. I like the rom smooth and all but its just not the same since I've been spoiled with adreno. Lol. Gonna stick with it for awhile tho. Really like the official and being able to use PAC console. Not getting great battery but I just installed it some hours ago so I'll let it settle in for a couple days. Might try a diff kernel. All that said, this is a fantastic rom and u did a great job. All yur work is so so appriciated here. Thank u for this and I can't wait to see what else u throw at us!:thumbup: thanks again.

Not everyone knows how to hellraise roms, so I'm just trying to bring awesome i9100 roms to the i777 to let everyone enjoy them if one is new at it. These roms are in the ported section, which means I hellraised them from the i9100. So if you already know how, don't complain because I'm trying to bring the experience of i9100 roms to everyone!!

I had to delete the first part of the updater script to get it to flash.
On another note, this rom is running very well. The only problem I ran into, and it may have just been me, was that I had to remove the nfc.apk or it would constantly fc.

Just so yer aware, this thread is being reported and I'll be letting the developer know about this thread. He obviously didn't want this Rom ported, as he clearly stated in the op. I would suggest taking down link until you have permission from the dev to post this. As it's HIS work.

Rotation doesn't work.
Google Voice
Has anyone been successful with Google Voice setup working? When I go thru the app setup process it says unable to verify call forwarding settings.
Also Focal F/C's when trying to swap to front facing camera and is also flipped upon opening.
Has anyone had any difficulty installing this? My phone just keeps spinning on the Cyanogenmod splash screen.
I've tried installing in CWM & TWRP.
I've cleared cache/data/system -- still does the same thing. I tried both the 18 & the 19 files.
I can install other ROMs (tested Houstonn's 4.3)
I'm not sure what else to try to get this thing to boot. I've let it sit for 10-15 minutes, which should definitely be more than enough time for it to boot. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Both are built from Cyanogen source, but are built with different local manifests. So probably different kernel, and probably some slightly different "under the hood" differences. Features should be the same since they both use Cyanogen source, unless they cherry picked other features... which I doubt they have at this point since having a nice stable cm10.2 and kernel for our device is most likely the main goal. Once that is achieved, it will make the base for many other ROM's with different features ect.
I have not examined the repo's much so I could be wrong though.
So flash away! All these dev's need us all to test their stuff out to smash the bugs.
EDIT: Actually, I believe there are two different sources for 4.3 so I'm not exactly sure if they both used the same.

Fixed in a new build dated 0819. I typoed sensors when I added sdcard to the mounts. Thus why sensors worked on 0818 but not 0819. They should be good to go now though.
As far as the two cm 10.2 builds for e970. This is based on stock kernel and acree's e975. Dvhexer's is based on mako.

Nice, thanks!
Finding it a bit difficult for a feature list for our phone. Anybody know if IR works?
Huh why haven't we heard of this ROM?

Thanks for posting this. I've seen the community on g+ before but had no idea it was available for the s4! Everything is solid so far

I'll answer my own question

How good is it compared to the other 4.3 roms?

I have never run one this smooth. It is missing some toggles I like, quiet hours for one, but has lots of options like slim. Freaking fast!
Guess its time to set up a g+ only google account (no way I'm using my primary email address as a social media handle).

If you haven't heard of Vanir in general it's because your name is patrick.

If you haven't heard of it for this device specifically, it's because not all Devs favor XDA :good:

I've been doing my own builds but here is no difference between DHO and Nuke. Use the latest one.
This ROM is very nice. Even got watch on to work. Something I've decided I can't live without. Been running all day. Battery life is going to be good to average I think. Some nice features. BeanStalk I think has a few more. But not quite this smooth. First chance I've had to run vanir. Impressed all in all. Thanks for posting op.

I was being lazy and I used the gapps from the bean stalk rom which I already had downloaded. Which are basically the full slim gapps. It's a 4.3 ROM so I figured it would work. I like the dark out of the box. There is a theme in vanir that inverts though. Not the true slim dark toggle, a system theme gets you to the same place though. You could also download the latest 4.3 gapps from goo.

its all up to snowleopard but the main devs of cfxe really dont care much about extra features. they want to keep cfxe as close but different to aosp for speed and smoothness
Installed this last night.. Clean install and had a BSOD over night. I always set another alarm when I have an untested rom so a was good. However I switched back to CM as I do not need to deal with BSODs right now.

Anybody having the group mms issue where you can't read messages from people with ios7?

Yeah that issue is system wide seems to be an ios7 issue with iOS not following MMS standards.

Is anyone else having issues with apps getting root?
TiBu wanted to act like it wasnt getting root until I reflashed the SuperSu .zip, and AdAway thinks that it gets root, but it fails in copying the new hosts file every time.

I flashed SuperSU during the initial install, and TiBu didnt think it had root until I rebooted to recovery, wiped cache/dalvik, and reflashed teh SuperSU .zip. AdAway still doesnt want to work.
Other superuser apps say that my SU binary is outdated, but fail in updating it.

The strange thing is that it's just within the apps that I get the errors. It's like the apps work fine, but they have a reporting error that makes them think that they aren't getting root.
Weird.

Carbon is having issues right now. It fails at building display-caf, and I can't fix it today because of time constraints. I will take a look at it later this week or weekend.
Does the kernel support Faux apps? And can be UV?

Nice, but
WIFI was dropping in and out. Nice features, but went back to Carbon as the wifi was a deal-breaker for me......
