Hi first of all thanks to all the good people of XDA. I am on stock rooted freeza mj4 with nothing installed and when I reboot I have to always enter manually my passwords this happens on odexe and deodex ...I don't know if this is how it is?...coming from a S3 I never had to re enter them and is making me angry.

Well I flashed frezzas stock rooted mi5 just to see if I was hallucinating because I knew this did not happened before and I can confirm than on mi5 passwords stays on reboot...flashed back again to mj4 and same problem is back. Is this a bug on the new firmware?

The Wifi network conection passwords, when you turn on wifi it automatically connects, but when I reboot all my passwords are erased, I have to re enter them to conect to the router.

My phone is still unrooted and I'm on MJ4 and it does not exhibit this issue. It retains the wifi Keys (passwords) after reboot.

My phone is running JB Build 21 with TWRP. So which comes first: restoring recovery to stock or restoring stock ROM?

thanks man! thats all i need to know))
this is what ill flash in ODIN right : http://server10.stockroms.net/download/GalaxyNote2/SCH-I605/official/I605VRAMC3_I605VZWAMC3_VZW.zip
I believe so but it would be great if someone else who has gone full stock on this device to chime in. My experience going to stock was on the s3.very similar just wanna double check with someone else too. I never Odin ANYTHING unless I'm 100percent sure that it's correct
And as you might know, CHECK md5. A bad tar flash will most likely hard brick your device. It's not the same as a bad rom flash

Similiar to the file here this will update your device to MJ7 without wiping. However, always back-up your data.
The bootloader is locked on this version and keeping root may or may not happen. Please do your research before updating.
To use:
Download the file below
Extract the tar.md5 file
Flash that file in Odin

Yes - if you need to be certain everything is wiped (all data will be lost) and stock you can go this route instead: here

No this is an odin image, meant for flashing in odin if you get soft bricked and have no other options. Knox is definitely in it. I would imagine that roms will be popping up shortly to give you what you are looking for.

I flashed it and don't seem to be having any wifi issues. Dunno about MMS.
However, it will cause you to lose root. I had half-working root which didn't really give me much due to SELinux (I couldn't remount /system, for example), so losing that wasn't a big loss.

"Half working" meant that I could get a "#" prompt, and could read files that I couldn't as a non-root user, but still with SELinux enforcement enabled, keeping me from doing much of anything, like mounts, etc. I started rooted on MI1 and enabled SuperSU recovery, but it didn't work for me. Probably something I did wrong, and SuperSU wasn't able to reinstall itself properly.

Is there any alternatives
to refresh Mj7 and not lose root?
Tried Cyanogen 10.2 d2spr
Sprint Galaxy s3 L710
Android 4.3
Odin 1.85
Got superuser and used goomanager w twrps
made backups
Tried to flash cyanogen and i got error missing md5
tried a fix where you edit the updater-scripts in the cyanogen zip and that didnt work
Then I read that switching to cws would fix the problem, I read that you can d/l the cws zip and use twrps to flash it
Basically I was way over my head and shoulda kept the restore to stock option because that WAS working
Phone wont boot normal. volumeup and power and menu just flashes"recovery booting" or something really fast in the top left corner and shuts back off
Idk... Odin doesnt recognize the phone anymore
Definitely dont know what im doing anymore

I to flashed through odin and baseband didnt change. You select phone to flash baseband correct not pda it was user error on my part freeza.

Ok to flash the modem it does work properly power down your phone I removed the battery to make sure it was off using the reboot into odin/ dowload mode wont work.Power down pull the battery to make sure its off hold volume down+home+power to manually boot into odin/download mode..I used odin 3.07 I unchecked auto reboot then select PHONE not pda or anything else.Once it writes you will see info on your phone screen showing you it wrote to it.I unplugged it pulled the battery then powered it back on worked the first time. You may be able to leave auto reboot checked.I had no issues updating prl or profile. As freeza said make sure the phone is powered down the "restart into odin mode wont work"..Again thank you freeza you deliver the goods again kind sir.
Updated with no issues.
