Hey all, i have been searching this site for a way to stop the update pop up for the new software. can any one help to point me in the right direction? i have root and become irritated that everytime i open up my phone this update shows up. Thanks in advance

Use ROM Toolbox Lite or Titanium and freeze FWUpgrade.
That will eliminate the reminder.

i have taken the steps with rom toolbox to freeze and uninstal fwupgrade and i still get these notifications. anything i am missing?

Okay, I have a HUGE problem- I don't really know why, but I cannot access my live wallpaper on my x10a any longer... When I press the menu botton or long-press on the home screen, I can get the option of mediascape and wallpaper only, but the live wallpaper which used to be under those two is gone!! Is it possible that I accidentally deleted this when uninstalling system apps? and can I reinstall it? Or would it be a program that possibly disabled the option?? Please help, I really want my live wallpapers capability back!

Must have Dropbox installed on your pc (DropBox)
Simply click on the link to download it, and it will be saved on your PC.

Do I need to have my phone connected to the pc? Also does this dropbox work with the dropbox on the phone?? And do I need to open this link on my pc (probably a stupid q, sorry lol). hi sir i accidentally delete my contacts storage.apk, so i download the version of 2.3 contacts storage.apk and i copy to system app and make it rw-r-r.but still not working.error message come out "unfortunely process has stop......" is there any thing doing wrong? thanks for help

Delete your Google account and sign in back Google should automatically load your contacts

Are you sure that you have saved all your contacts to Google account but not to local storage??? If yes I would suggest you to reflash gapps if you are rooted if not then a factory reset would help you out

If you can tell me your rom, Android version and also tell me are you rooted or no and also are you running custom ROM?? I shall assist you

hi sir,oic.......my phone is spice mi350,(SIMILAR WITH XT531,DOMINO),android version 2.2.2 rooted. very old phone.i dunno about custom rom. i am thinking tat maybe i have to get original contact storage.apk file. then only my phone will work.the one i download from internet not original . if anyone one else can get me the original file,it will be so nice. good hearing from you.:good:

any chance this could be done using download mode? im stuck in the setup wizard because of this damned error. im running the twrp beta on bootloader unlocked, rooted, ms330 (k7) 5 whole days old. i was playing with an app i ought not have. also for everyone else, adb is epic for everything.....

Everything is fine - no deep sleep problems, I flashed the simpli kernel. Everthing better than expected. TWRP is my recovery.

What can i do to get rid of the annoying security alerts??

using the tool in development thread.. there's an app inside that should stop those..also you can delete all security apps from system..make a backup before..

last time I used Titanium Backup for backuping up and restore all apps for changing the rom on my smartphone I got the error, that for some apps the notification was not working correctly.
As I read in the forum it was caused by restoring the apps via Titanium Backup
So, my question is:
Whats the best way to backup and restore all apps, so they can directly work on after changing a rom (with clean flashing).

I don't know .. I am trying to figure it out. What should I freeze to turn system update off by looking at my screenshot list.
