[Q] Trouble with bluetooth tether - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an old Samsung centura that I rooted recently. It is not hooked up to any service but I would like to tether it in my car via bluetooth. I have enabled bluetooth on my S3 and I do get the pin code pop up. But after that, the centura just says pairing and when it does seem to pait I can't get internet to work. Is there another setting or order of events I need to do?

[Q] Bluetooth problem

Doe the galaxy s II has Bluetooth DUN because my car radio (Parrot Asteroid) can't detect it.
My phone can connect to my radio and i can listen to music on my phone read my contacts, make calls
but i cannot connect it to internet to make the gps maps and coyote work.
Is there a way to enable it?
My previous phone (Samsung galaxy 3) could do it, why would a newer and more expensive device doesn't support it?
I already tried with PDAnet but it disconnects after about 30 seconds.

[Q] frAccess my phone from my tablet?

I'm building my new galaxy tab 7 into my truck. I am planning on hooking my tablet up via Aux input and connecting my phone via Bluetooth. I would like to be able to use an app to see my phones desktop and control calling etc through my tablet. Is there an app that allows me to do that through Bluetooth or wifi without having to root my phone or do it through a website? Ideally a widget but any app would be amazing.

Android-to-Android Bluetooth Profiles

Hi everyone,
I am an owner of the GSIII I747M and the ASUS Transformer, both running ICS. I recently had this idea (fantasy?) where I mount the Transformer in my car, hook it up to the car speakers and basically use it as my in-car infotainment system instead of the headunit that's in there. Nothing wrong with my in-car headunit (except the fact that I can't get bluetooth to work with my GSIII), but the tablet will give me tons more features. When I enter the car, I want the tablet to automatically tether to my phone via wi-fi and via bluetooth. Wi-fi is for internet access and it works just fine. The bluetooth is for the hands-free profile, so that when I receive a call, the music/navigation/whatever gets interrupted and I can take the call. I also want to be able to dial from the tablet.
When I connect the two devices via bluetooth, I don't have a hands-free profile; indeed I have no useful profiles at all. My question is simple: is there an app for that? Any suggestions? Has anyone done this? Thanks!

[Q] Galaxy [email protected] - most Bluetooth devices don't work, not even Samsungs EI-GP20;

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S3 LTE with StockROM and it's not rooted. I am not allowed to unlock it.
I know that something around BT has changed with the Upgrade to 4.2 or 4.3.
My BT game-pad IPEGA PG-9017 and my mini BT keyboard don't work anymore. I could pair booth but I don't get any reaction on the phone.
I still could connect the S3 with my cars radio via BT and it works. But before I also could use the radios controls to skip forth and back on the phone/spotify. Now I have to do it on the phone.
Now I bought Samsungs Gamepad EI-GP20. I could pair it but I can't get it to run. I don't know it EI-GP20 is a normal game-pad. But when I paired it with another smartphone and I immediately saw that the phone reacts to it.
To get my IPEGA to run I read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033780 . I installed BlueIMEZ and another APK which name I forgot. I didn't help.
I have the feeling that BT settings or IMEs are screwed up.
Is there anything I could do or check without having root? Does anyone have an idea what I might overlook?
note: Samsung screwed up the update for the S3
