[Q] Xperia Sola, Unlock Bootloader (HELP PLEASE) - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi! I live here in Sweden and I pay every month some money for my phone and even some money so I can call, text and get free internet every month. If i unlock my bootloader will this still work? Or will it get any problems?

So you have a provider for which your paying every month? Then you REALLY shouldn't unlock your bootloader
Gesendet von meinem B1-A71 mit Tapatalk

Unlocking you BL voids your warranty, and even rooting it might void it, check your contract.

That means if you have bought your phone from carrier that means you can't unlock your bootloader
try typing in dialer *#*#7378423#*#* then Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue if it says no then you can't unlock bootloader.
try this method

get an unlock code from your network provider, some people have said that once they removed the simlock its let them unlock the bootloader. if that doesnt work then theres not much you can do untill someone works out another way to unlock it
no fastboot mode.
Theres only one solution I know of, and it may be a crazy one....
Use search first, and read the other 500 threads created on this topic ;-)
Short answer: No, not able to be done yet.

If you want to unlock the boot loader, use the wotanserver.com
* In addition to sim unlock you get an unlocked bootloader.
However, it seems to me that at the moment, this service does not support SXS
Try to write the administration service.

What is a "rootable bootloader"?
For the Croatian members:
I've just called customer service of Vipnet( Vodafone) and they told me that there is no problem, you can unlock boot loader for only 480 HRK (~65€).
Well, if there's no free unlocking solution in few weeks I'll have to milk some cash. It's still better then locked for life.

Pay more for a phone that's SIM-Free and not subsidized by a network. That is the only way.
guys, try the ezSEMC. it's realy working, but it's paid.
I'm not seller. I used it on my acro hd and i'd got the bootloader unlock allowed: yes.
What about U/P/Sola

Well I remember when i had the Xperia Play for the 1st time the phone was locked and fastboot couldnt not be accessed and bootloader could not be unlocked so i had to pay someone $15.00 to do a testpoint thing online, i cant remember his name now!
but anyhow what i was wanting to know is there anyway i could do it to the Xperia U so i can get access to fastboot and the bootloader to unlock it?

Yup, I kinda assumed you didn't read stuff, but guess you did.
So, it's branded by your provider/carrier? Otherwise it should be no problem.
Also same problem...
Bought mine from Vodafone Portugal and it says unlocking not allowed...
Let's pray for an answer...

mhh, that's an interesting option (no loss of DRM etc)
Let us know if he can fix it too for the Xperia U, would be good to know as I'm close to releasing a App for the U only that requires root
and a clean unlock/root could be more attractive to people
will ask him that now
edit: not for the xperia 2012 devices yet...

i got my Xperia Acro HD (previously network locked to Docomo, "bootloader unlock allowed = no") unlocked using ezSEMC tool.
after the unlock process (via USB cable, an old reliable Win7 laptop, and a working 2mbps internet connection), the phone is now network unlocked and "bootloader unlock allowed = yes".
payment was around 50US$ via Paypal, (unlock cost for your device should be less) the unlock process was quick and painless.
this is not an advertisement for the product(although it does sound like an endorsement BS) but just letting you know of an alternative that is proven to work and deliver.

I have a Xperia U that says bootloader allowed no. Is there a way to unlock the bootloader?
I think only Sony Mobile can help us
We should never buy a phone from the carrier network again.
There is no way,end of story.
There is a way. You must contact your carrier and ask them to do it. They will tell you where to send your phone in order to unlock your boot loader. For example, here in Portugal, Datafax is able to change your boot loader status to "allowed= yes"

FastBoot OEM lock-Orange

Hey, just like the topic, do you have any advice?
I would add that:
-Button fastboot is locked
-I can not unlock the bootloader
The phone was purchased in orange the same hence the lock
Recently I wrote here in the forum but to no avail.
Please household remedies not services.
If you have bootloader unlock = no in service menu, there's no known way to unlock it -- some claim you can after getting it SIM unlocked, others say it doesn't help...

no it doesn't matter if it's sim locked or not.. if you got no on the unlock bootloader service menu then nothing can be done.

Yes,I send it on service repair because I corrupt bootloader.
Then Sony replaced it with clean one and much faster NAND memory.
You will lose phone for a week but hey,you will get faster and unlocked phone.

So I have a choice:
1: Sell the phone and buy the same but with the ability to unlock the bootloader
2:, CONTACT Sony to replace me (higher costs and a long wait on the phone)
edit:
Maybe TESTPOINT metod?
NO TESTPOINT, IT HAS BEEN PATCHED!

Afaik there's no such thing as 'Bootloader unlock status'. What does 'Bootloader unlock allowed' say? Or does it say 'Bootloader Unlocked: Yes/No'?

I would try to return the device. You want to hop on the Sony Open Devices Program and specifically bought a non-carrier device, so.

There's nothing you can do. Maybe an exploit will be found to obtain root, but I think the earliest that might happen is with the Marshmallow release.

Yes, and even then. I would make a firm point of having bought the device to make use of the Sony Open Devices offerings. They can't really blame you that it took you more time than the return window to conclude that the device's bootloader cannot be unlocked. This is unusual to say the least. If they ask why you didn't check it right after you had bought it you can tell them you had to become familiar with this kind of stuff first or that you thought you made some mistake in the unlocking steps, while thinking the bootloader would be unlockable, and that troubleshooting took a lot of time. I think this is even actually what happened as well.
I think you have a fairly good position to succeed.
i think i will wait for 6.0 and then try it

Only if there will be an exploit found with which you can obtain root. That bootloader status will stay the same, no matter the Android version.
