How to install the launcher? It crashes because google search app stops.

You can find in : /system/app/Settings.apk !
Also I have google search FC ... need to fix this
Here's what I have discovered so far:
1) apps must be installed as regular apps. If pushed to system/app nothing works and the physical back button won't work.
2) for Google launcher to work, you must have launcher, GSM, velvet and Google voice search all installed.
3) even with all of these installed, Google voice IS working (open apps, search web, talkback, etc...), but always gives the "google voice search has stopped" error. Possibly missing some frameworks or libs?
I have these apps all working so far: Launcher, voice search (except for the error listed above), GSM, velvet (part of the launcher and also wallpapers), Google keyboard, new market and finally new YouTube.

I have download the system dump, there is no systemui.apk in system/app, its extracted just fine...

Yea, there's an apktool from slim Roms, it's for newer framework etc, don't have a link, maybe this will help you

Thanks, I have the apktool from slims its 2.0, but still in beta. But it works when decompile and recompiling my slimbean 4.3.1 systemui.apk. But it doesnt work on 4.4 yet, I think. Btw, I cant find battery icons inside 4.4 systemui. Where are they?

After being inspired by the ICS style Settings for Experia X8 for CM7(GINGER BREAD),i decided to do something like that for g3 with froyo.
I'm not an expert or something like that but a learner and a beginner. I googled, got clues from the above mentioned thread, played with the 'xml' files of Settings.apk and finally found the way !!
I have completed modding the whole MAIN screen of settings and added new icon for the app !..............Interiors are the same. They will be modded and released in the next update.

I certainly do not know how make the on/off icons appear on side, but can make other things similar to that !!
One known bug is that, both SECURITY and LOCATION SERVICE point to the same screen.It is because Location and Security settings are in same screen. I'll try make same changes for it.
I will complete modding the INTERIORS and post it in the next update !!
I have used aarrun's Perfect ICS theme in the screen-shot !

A very short n non-detail tut:
I decompiled stock settings.apk
I just modified the res/values/Strings.xml for all the new/additional text
Also modify xml files in res/xml
Add the required icons in res/drawable-ldpi
I try to post a full fledged tutorial after completing this project first !!

I think for smaller text, we need to reduce the LCD Density........but already we have the lowest density.....ldpi-120.
Is there any other way to decrease the font size ??

Everything is cool and awesome but just on bad thing in this update is that the pics/thumbnails in Google play seems to be overstretched/low quality and the previews are compressed that is they are not in their original shape,when we open them the look nice.
Can anyone. Please fix this problem.

I also got the same problem,but I figured it out.
Just open the zip file and locate the. App folder and then phonesky.apk,just copy it to system/app and then click the playstore icon in Ur app drawer,click it,if it says application not found,click it again,there may be a notification asking your permission to Google account.
Its done,if not reboot your phone and enjoy.

everything went fine, but Google Keep.
The app said that my Google Play Services in Unavailable, yet i already had it installed (and reinstalled).
is this something that went wrong because this mod? or is it the Keep?

Backup of what?
If you want to make a backup of your original one then. Go to system->App and browse for phonesky.apk that's your orignal one.
And for the modded one,just download the zip file from orignal post,extract it,open the system folder(in the zip file),go to app and browse for phonesky.apk,this is the modded one.
If you want to change the current one to other,just copy your desired phonesky.apk to system/app and reboot!Its done!

yes, i did wipe both cache and dalvik cache..
you only pushed the Phonesky.apk to the /system/app right?

Yup! I just pushed the phonesky.apk to system/app and rebooted.
I did that because flashing via cwm gave me errors.
I don't what does settings.uot do b'coz I'm not a developer or,a programme,I just use my mind fir these purposes.

than use es file explorer or root explorer to go in /system/app/ and delete the seclauner2.odex
now reboot in recovery flash my launcher, clear davlik cache und reboot to system.

I just had to remove the S-Note widget in the S-Pen Buddy Homescreen Side and added it again and then it was displayed perfectly.

mmh, i only change the dimension values, wallpaperscrolling and max homescreens, could be a problem with diffrent seclauncher version to the base build. did you clear the data from seclauncher ?
otherwise i need the newest deodexed seclauncher (don't know which base are the newest for the note2) if anyone can send me these please
is this a general problem for all ? or is this working for some one ?

I have had the same problem with a little mod done for my phone.
For have all settings menu in aosp i've used an old zip (4.1.2) and after restart wifi doesn't work anymore....unselectable.
The guilty is of zip used for flash the mod.
Needs a zip for 4.3.
Download a recent mod like airwiev style and use it for flash this mod.

Here's the updated flashable zip that won't break the wi-fi. Zip provided in OP is compatible with other devices but it isn't compatible with Note2 on 4.3 fw since it uses new vrtheming script. Hence flashing older vrtheme on 4.3 fw will break wi-fi.

Of course! I did it!
Copy SystemUI.apk in another folder, unzip, replace the icons in the correct subfolders and repack. Then overwrite with original apk in system/app. Immediatly phone will crash and reboot. Done!

Its a matter of luck that it worked for you. If you replace SystemUi manually via root explorer, your phone will reboot instantly which means you won't be able to set permission and hence you will be in bootloop.

I was one of them luckguys it worked just fine for me.
Edit: looking really good, the only thing i miss is the Note 3 weather widget, to get the full note 3 kitkat look. (i think that is mission impossible to get Note 3 weather widget on stock non-deodexed rom i have been trying for many hours)

How to Flash the ROM:

I don't know any of mtk device with lollipop...

Review of the ROM :
It is not themed adequately, graphics element of the ROM is glitchy.
Call button not properly colored (screenshot)
Unlock options not aligned to the screen (screenshot)
Status bar pull down is the worst, nowhere near the original lollipop.
Overlapping status bar icons n text. (wifi n roaming)
Scrolling animation is unneeded, eats gpu n processor.
Many icons are not properly sized. Ex, expandable vol options, auto brightness button(fully glitchy interface) (screenshot)
icons and there working indicators are not nicely colored.
notifications does not collapse once expanded neither the Tiles.
Call screen is glitchy (screen shot)
Any many more...cant write all of them.
Sorry bro but returning to STOCK.

Hve u successfully activated 3g in both the sims? If yes then please post a screenshot showing 3g or H sign on both the networks.
Afaik, sim 2 hardware does not support 3g.

Dude.... Where is 3g in both networks at the same time..? At least show the 3g signal in both.... It supports 3g in one sim at one time.
And what is the gain in using 3g network in both at the same... It will suck up the battery like nothing else.
Can 3g be activated on both sims at the same time.... I think its not.

You'll have to install thr rom again. By flashing the viper4fx u flashed the Dolby system files and now u deleted them.... Its messed up now.
I think it is not possible to turn on 3g on both sim at a time, in stock ROM there is only 3g available in slot 1
