Hello All!
I'm a new member of this forum. I'm from Bangladesh. Recently i bought an Android Tab (Symphony T8Q) which using a MT8389 chipset. I was searching for method to root it and found this thread-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
this tool called Framaroot (v1.61) works for my device and my device rooted. after rebooting, i found supersu in apps and i can apply 'su' command from terminal emulator as well. Then i've checked with root checker app and it's also showing that my device is rooted. But problem is i can't move apps to SD card, i use Android Assistant app and there's no 'Move to SD' button under storage section!
Then i installed ES File explorer and found i can't write system partition as it's read-only. i issue 'chmod' command from terminal, which showing me file system is read-only. currently i need to move apps to SD card, but can't find a way to do it. Also i need to change default bengali font of JB (v4.2) by replacing system's bengali font (Lohit-Bengali) with my choosen font. For this i need a working root method. is there any other tool which can root my device fully? so that i can write system partition, move apps to SD etc. etc.
I need some help Guys! Thanks in Advance.
Me too...!!
I also have the device, but rooting seems to be a problem with it. Sounds like your condition is half success...any progress after that? Please let me know if there is...

So If u really need to root The T8q you have to install Developer Option.apk from play store, enable usb debugging and use motochopper to root it. It's gonna take 4-5 mins so don't get anxious. And if u wanna unroot it just use factory reset. :fingers-crossed:

I tried every thing I could find on google.
I couldnt manage to copy brut maps over to system/app folder.
I used emulator and adb . But it keeps saying no acess or somethingæ
I used «whoami» it said root but still I couldent do anything
Even tried rooy exploret too no luck
Any one know what to do?
I have this problem too. The problem is not the ROM, it's the kernel (insecure kernels let you do whatever you want anytime). You are blocked from the system partition by default from the PC side; if you want to copy something to the system partition the easiest way to do so is to copy it to your SD card then transfer it over on your phone with a root filesystem manager.

I've been searching the web for how to root LG Optimus F3 for VM, I found nothing. I tried looking on how to root any Jellybean device all I got was a reboot and nothing. After upgrading from a Kyocera Event and having it root, I've missed all the features and it has just been one day. Can someone please share any information they have, on how possibly I can root my device.
Thanks!

I used link2sd in combination with this script http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-f3/801368-mod-app2external_sd-fixed-duplicate-files.html Havent had an iussue with space since. There is a dev on the android forums working on the bootlocker and the kernel issues with reinstalling factory after recovery is rebooted.
I rooted my phone motochopper and I can't find any Roms for it. I get into ROM manager and I can't get any farther because my phone model isn't listed..what can I do?? I feel like I'm missing out because I can't get custom UI and all that. HELP PLEASE!

Ok so i am now rooted thanks to myself only got out dated answers this worked for me with my LG ls-720v7 (4.1.2 - jb)
First step download. SManager from market
Then get towleroot.apk link below
towelroot com/tr.apk
Then install the apk find it in your download directory but first make sure you allow unknown sources in settings_security after thats installed run it download su and busybox from market and then use root checker to see if you are now rooted.
O cant figure out how to swap internal with ext. Try this it also worked for me. Download Uni-init v1.0.apk from the market install it run it Click on Activate and allow with super user Click on Verify to make sure init.d is enabled Reboot your device Download any Root Browser you like from the play store or use smanager if you still have it Download 11extsd2internalsd from below
www mediafire com/view/8pwu65zzd10ow5z/11extsd2internalsd
copy it to your sd card Open Root Browser and copy 11extsd2internalsd and paste it /system/etc/init.d folder Hold click 11extsd2internalsd and set permissions and make sure everything is checked as far as Read, Write, and Execute. Open smanager and allow with root access Go to /system/etc/init.d and click on 11extsd2internalsd Click at the top where it has Su (lil android head) and Boot icons and hit save and then exit Reboot your device and your all done!
can't get the script to work ?

Hi, I have a xolo qc800 .(Qualcomm 8225q quad core) tablet
Recently I was trying too root my tab using all rooting methods.
And after I gained root ...now I cannot access my sdcard ....so I found a guide to modify the vold.fstab
And in the process of modifying I mistakenly modified it wrong.
And now I cannot access even my internal storage and sdcard
Let me remind that I have root access now
But I don't have access to any apps or any file managers.
So I cant restore the file back to original
I also tried using the adb shell to remount as writable but it says "operation not permitted"
I need help to any guides for restoring vold.fstab back to original.
Please guide me.....
Thanks in advance

Did you install nut's dual recovery by chance? It has busybox included and if you try to install another busybox it screws up root. For SD card try this app, if you are still rooted and have superuser installed properly it should work.

What's nut's dual recovery?
I did try SDFix already, it doesn't work to me.
The purpose I need access permission is modify platform.xml for Titanium backup and mixer_paths.xml for volume boost headphone.
I heard about a custom rom can access permission mostly, is it true? If yes, I might try flash to custom rom.

If SD card fix doesn't work and gives you an error message. You don't have true root access.
I know because I faced this issue about a month ago, I was able to get superuser access just not edit files I know because I tried to edit the platform as well, so re-root your phone and install the dual recovery (optional?) if you make it that far, run kk fix it should work.
The volume boost is meh, you're better with viper4android

The root checker show **device have rooted**
I used Easyroot. Does your meaning use easyroot to re-root the phone again? Or get another tool? Any rooting tool suggestion.
Should I unroot from supersu before re-root?
Yes I know that.. Like I said I had the same issue, you may have root access but you don't have true root, so re-root your phone. It will fix the issue.
So again re root your phone.
And for me I did not uproot I just ran the root exploit and overwrited the old su
Great! I'll try to root again tonight.
BTW, is your device is XZU and root by Easyroot.
Thanks
Nah I have galaxy s2 but posting in xzu section. Yes I have Xperia Z ultra. And yes I did the easy Xperia root, plus I have dual recovery
IT WORK !
As you said re-root device again. Access permission available and Titanium backup to extsd.
Thanks all you guys input.
Zomg don't forget to thank me, hit the thanks button. *sarcasm
I have lenovo vibe shot and I have updated it with Android 6.0.1, rooted it with SuperSU 2.78
and installed systemless xposed framework on it all of the things are going well but
recently I tried to change the boot animation and I realized that I dont and I cant have writing access
to /system and any of its sub folders (i want to replace a couple of MP4 files inside /system/media
no matter if I use mount commands from adb from PC or any other app in my mobile, write access will not be given
for example ES File explorer says it is read only, when I click on write and click OK, it will show no error, but going to
same setting again it shows read only selected again
similar is the case with Root Browser
I think it is due to systemless root
But is there any way I can get write acccess to /system/media ???
plz help

Root properly
I did it twice using TWRP I flashed Super SU 2.78 2 times, it never showed any error
and went fine
Plz tell me a little more if you mean something else by root properly
Any app that needs root access is working perfectly fine except for this permission
setting issue on /system
