Hi
I have a rooted HTC one and I am unable to download and install any upgrades my carries sends out.. I just get a message each time saying the installer was corrupted, as a result im thinking of going back stock and unrooting.
My question is how to do this.
I am reasonable computer literate but have little experience with phone modding.
at present when I boot the phone holding power and the vol down..
this is the info I get.

use revone
Try revone, it might help.
I used it to lock my rooted one to get the Google Drive 25G free storage.

Got bricked by downloading an app that was supposed to change my font and on reboot it just goes to htc screen or sprint screen and doesn't continue.

I've tried to downgrade using Fastboot and usb, I think i used the incorrect file type and i get Something like Failed Security! Failed Update! or something like that.. Can anyone help me with this please? I need the proper file just to fix it and the proper info. Thanks again really appreciate any response that does not include flaming.

Install a recovery (recommend TWRP) then a rom/kernel.

You should now be able to load a custom recovery, such as twrp, and then install a rom from there. You will have to use the adb tools to load the custom recovery.
What is your goal? Do you want to restore to stock? Or be able to install custom roms?

You are also S-ON you need to flash the boot.img from the rom you are flashing via adb....this info is spread everywhere on this site
Hello, I would like to know what is the best was to remove the tampered & un-locked from the fastboot screen. I need to return my One for a warranty claim (top speaker crackles). And from my experience returning 2 htc one X, the fist thing they do is fastboot the phone!
What I have done: used HTC dev to unlock bootloader, used clockwork mod to Root (following a instructional video). the only other thing I did was follow some instruction to allow me to turn on the hotspot. (the only reason I rooted)
I have also reading threads thought that I should get S off and then I could remove the tampered, then load a stock rom in order to return.
I tried to use HASSOON 2000 all in one, no luck. I also tried to use REVONE and I get error -6.
That's where I see all kinds of info as what to do. So I thought I would pose the question. What is the best way to achieve my goal, get tampered & un-locked off, just so I can return my phone :silly: I am a Noob, but comfortable playing around with my phone.
My phone looks like this.

Well I have this problem, I just bought in a pawn shop a used HTC Desire 510 (Virgin Mobile) with no battery, when I purchase the battery and turn it on, I notice that has a locked patern screen, I already tried to do a factory reset but it does not let me.
Here is what I am dealing with.

Have you tried to enter in recovery mode? From what I can see the phone has an unlocked bootloader. This probably means that the phone is rooted and has a custom recovery installed. Try entering in recovery mode and let me know what will come out and maybe we can do a factory reset.

Thanks for the advice @denny.hell , and yea at 1st this is what I tried to do but no luck, will not let me do any factory reset, and no recovery mode, any other recommendations? I am thinking of installing the original ROM from HTC website via micro SD card, but don't know if it will let me do it because the phone its lock with pattern code

If you can't get in recovery mode it probably means that the current recovery is not flashed properly. Try loking for a tutorial on this site that will help you flash the newest recovery available. If you manage to get a recovery up and running it should be a piece of cake performing a factory reset Let me know if you are having any more troubles.
