Am I blind or what. I thought the one had car mode?
Or did ATT rip it out and put in their absolutely terrible att drive app.

Most likely, it is ATT
Yep sure does piss me off. Unlocked already hopefully ARHD works on it.
Can't just download the original app somewhere? Maybe someone will upload the apk

I just looked thru the apps and I saw it there but I cannot find it in the phone. Maybe you have to be in the navigation app to see it. Just a thought.

So apparently you can only get into car mode when you connect you one to their car dock. That's the only way to do it. It's in the user guide.

What I thought was funny was that I loaded Nova Launcher on my phone. Then all of a sudden I had 4 apps that weren't there in the Sense launcher. Now I have "Car", "Flash Player Settings", "PDF Viewer", and "Polaris Office". So, you don't have to be rooted. The apps all work. But for some reason, Sense for AT&T is hiding the apps. Use another launcher. It'll be there.

Wow. I hope a (non-root) method to access them through Sense will become available.

Yes, you can even just download one of those widgets that just launches apps (I use Circle Launcher or More Icons Widget) and it shows up in their list.
It's there. Install quick shortcutmaker and create a shortcut to it
Can someone just upload the apk from the international version?
It's on the phone already. You would just need to "unhide" it by using another launcher or one of the apps previously mentioned.

Or we could just do it the right way and install the apk (if someone ups it) and it will add it to the Sense Launcher.... instead of Installing another app and or launcher.
Get it?
So you want to install an app you already have installed? Sorry, don't get it

the nice people over at the sprint One forum were very helpful and supplied the apk for me....

it does fail to install... but... did exactly what i wanted it to do. The icon is now in the tray.
:highfive:
[update]
This breaks after reboot. Then tried uninstalling updates from app manager... and it completely uninstalled it... without root access.
Doesnt make sense. Possibly do this for all bloat to get rid of it without root...

I loaded ARHD several times and could not get the camera to work, it just hangs when launched. Were you able to get around that? I figured this was AT&T specific.
Download the newest 6.0
There was an issue before with the build that caused camera and WiFi issues.
Should be fixed now tho.

Thanks, got it working. Would have been nice if they updated the version number.
Somehow my HTC Music app is now disappeared from the app drawer. It still under /system/apps but I tried to reinstall it , I just receive an error. I was wondering if I could get someone to upload the apk so I can reinstall it. Also if there is any other apps that are needed like the widget, please upload them too. I'm running Android 4.1.1 on Sense 4.1, unrooted stock rom 3.16.651.3 710RD

Did you try clearing caches and reinstalling the ROM? (you wont lose anything)
Be sure to make a NAN'd first. Always a good idea.
He has stock unrooted... I don't think he can just run the apk without root access since it is a system app, just my guess, somebody correct me if I'm wrong...

Try this:
HTC music:

Music enhancer:
http://db.tt/AtNKmT2b
Music widget:

You probably need root access, try and let us know, good luck...
Edit here is a flashable zip themed, but this for sure needs root access and hast to be done in twrp (custom recovery) :

Nope, didn't work. I need a way to push apk to system/apps folder on non root evo lte
Hi all,
I mistakenly installed the 4.4 KitKat Launcher which updated Google Now, and since I don't have root (and one doesn't appear to exist yet), I'm stuck unless I do a full wipe. Anybody know of where to download the stock Google Now apk for 4.3? I'd rather not wipe over this one small issue, but maybe I'll have to. Thanks in advance.
I don't know where on xda to find one, but you can just download 'team blackout updater' from the play store and download one of themed Google now apk's they offer.
But if you're problem with the 4.4 Google now is just the force closing, all you have to do is switch the language to something else then switch back to fix it.

Hah, nevermind. Just discovered the Uninstall Updates button. Reverted back to stock app and it's fine now.
That would also work yes

HTC Released their newest blinkfeed version, the one that can be found in sense 6, to the playstore.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.launcher
But it's quite sad that the HOX+ is incompatible? Any idea how to overcome that issue and download it and use it?
Yep, this is kinda weird. Notice that HTC's app is on the play store for some time now, but only has 3 ratings? It looks like it is disabled for everyone.
You can try to get the apk from play store. Here is one tutorial how to do it.
http://www.labnol.org/internet/download-apk-from-google-play/28303/
Nah, won't work. It is the true blinkfeed but the issue is that aits designed for the 4.4 API, hence us running 4.2.2 won't allow us to use it. That's why i was able to see it on 4.4 but i cant see it now.
Is there a way to modify the APP that we can use it in 4.2 too

a german site said that right now nobody can download the app not even the htc one (2013),and they don't know when it will be ready for us

I think HTC will be smart enouigh to downgrade it themselves. You see, from my point of view, I don't really want 4.4 that much as much as i want sense 6. I can get 4.4 from AOSP easily thanks to our devs, but I want Blinkfeed launcher most importantly.
HTC released that app about 1 week ago, which is still not available to all phones yet. I think they want to make every one feel how awesome their software is, so I think they will make blinkfeed available to all androids 4.0+.
BBM did something similar, they started with 4.2.2 and above, then one by one decreased. Now its available to 2.6 androids.
I think i will just wait.
I asked them in twitter this was there response
Sent from my HTC One X+ using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I guess Ghand0ur is kind of right. If HTC were to update the apps in our One X+, such as the launcher, the Gallery etc., 4.2.2 wouldn't suck that much.
They even have HTC zoey and HTC TV and other apps in the playstore but you can not find them with your phone.you must search it With the pc

I succeeded to get the latest launcher working on my HOX+ with CarbonRom on (4.4). It said on the market that my phone isn't supported so I had to download the apk alone from a third party app. I succeeded to have the basic functions of the launcher. App Drawer, widgets, home screens, home wallpaper, however
1- Blinkfeed was broken, it said "No content, swipe down to refresh" and swiping from the left side of the screen gave me a sidebar with "Highlights" in it and clicking the 3 dotted button wouldn't bring anything up.
2-Also when I clicked on the "Search" button in the app drawer the launcher would just stop working.
How did you get it to work whenever i will to Start the launcher there is a message that my phone is not supported

You have to have 4.4 , so download a kitkat rom(like carbon rom or cyanogenmod) . Then search for the apk online. I think we aren't allowed to mention third party apps that get you full apps for free. So you have to search for one.
I am on carbonrom 4.4 but it still did not work

It won't work, as I said I downloaded the apk from somewhere else and only the basic functions worked. BlinkFeed did not.
Anyway once BlinkFeed will be available for us I will move straight away to 4.4 . Can't wait !!

Why not just change your device model in the build.prop to one of the ones that does support it. That should theoretically trick google into letting you download it.

Well, after not even having my phone rooted for a day, it seems like i have already probably bricked it. I hard reset my phone which normally wouldnt cause a problem if i didnt 1) delete the home launcher and 2) delete the keyboard app. So i can neither get on apps or type. Only thing i can access is the settings panel. My phone is a Kyocera Event running 4.0.4 if that helps. Is there any way to recover from my noob mistake or have i bricked my first phone? lol
Well i figured out if i can just install a home launcher on it then ill be ok but i cant figure out how to install an app on there without being able to access the google play store. Can anyon tell me how to install an app on my phone via pc? Thats probably the only way. If anyone can help id be very thankful thanks a ton:banghead:

Open the play store from your computer web browser, sign in with the same mail you use in your phone and get a launcher. It will download and install automatically in your phone.
Will it still install to that phone even though my email isnt on the phone anymore? It was deleted when i reset the phone

Ops, my bad, i forget you did a reset. Well, you can open settings, right? Add your Google account again, then download the launcher from play store.
I wish i could but i deleted the stock keyboard apps too :banghead: if i could find a way to access my sd card, install an app on my phone via pc or get to the google play store then i could fix this. Next time i definitly wont be touching any non bloatware apps lol
