[Q] Looking for drawer with custom tab support? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for a drawer that supports custom tabs so I could arrange my apps in a desktop-like manner ie: System, Internet, Multimedia, Office etc. Preferably I would like to swipe horizontally to change tabs and swipe vertically to show more apps in the same tab.
The touchwiz drawer on my Galaxy S4 makes it difficult to rearrange apps ie. you have to move the apps one bye one to your page of preference. On top of that you can't rearrange pages in the drawer (you can do that only in the home screen).
Apex, Novo and Holo launcher sort of have the functionality I'm seeking but they all come with a home screen which I don't want (I would like to keep the stock one).
Any suggestions?

iLauncher 3.1

iLauncher version 3.1 is available now. It has added some extremely attractive features, including the ability to show all running programs on the taskbar (like magic button and wktask). It also has the ability to show only the tab icons without the applications on that tab until the user tab on it. The tab icon is a toggle. One tab will display its shortcuts and another will hide the shortcuts. It is thus very thumb friendly, and let you have very clean desktop.
I've just downloaded it and am playing with it now.

[Q] Dock

I've noticed when trying new themes with "theme chooser" on CM7 the dock remains the same, some icon changes at most, is there a way to customize the dock? I would like to add a couple apps on it or change the ones i have atm, mine show the classic dots that indicate the home screen you're on, then phone app, app drawer, internet app and dots again.
I don't think it's customizable without a separate launcher (ADW, Launcher plus, GO Launcher, etc).

How to change the icons for mail/phone/internet at the bottom of the screen?

Like how you can switch between your different backgrounds, there's five icons at the bottom that are persistent, don't change as you switch backgrounds, for the phone, mail, internet etc etc.. How do I change these? Thanks.
ummm trying to remember with touch wiz, i only used that launcher in transit from the store to my house wherein i rooted and restored my apps from my captivate which included adw ex launcher
I believe you open the app drawer, hit the menu button, and the edit option, then just drag what apps you wanna use to the dock.
If you are wanting to just change the picture then you'll need a different (read as better) launcher.
This should not be difficult?

[Q] Is there a way to get a widget to stay on screen when scrolling?

I really like the look and feel of some of the Google Now inspired themes and launchers, like SF Launcher. Particularly I like how different elements of the homescreen scroll independently. ie there is a top bar that is static and the widgets and apps scroll separately.
Is there a way to replicate this functionality on Nova/Apex Launcher or any of the other standard launchers? Specifically is there a way to have a widget that stays on screen when scrolling through pages of apps?

[Q] Widget scroll lag in TouchWiz

I own a SM-G925I with Android 5.0.2 and am facing major scroll lag when having widgets that can scroll in the TouchWiz home screen. I was wondering if anybody is facing the same issue and if there is any fix I can apply to mitigate this problem. The lag appears only when scrolling the widget content and not the home pages or anything else.
The issue will not be there when I use a different launcher app like Nova or ActionLauncher. And I'm looking for a way to fix this while still using TouchWiz since this time around I really want to give TouchWiz a go rather than just swapping it out for a better launcher, since I feel that Samsung is at least trying to make their launcher match up to the competition.
Steps to re-create widget scroll lag:
1. Add "Music" app widget into a TouchWiz home screen page.
2. Touch and hold the "Music" widget and let go to get the resize lines enabled on the widget.
3. Now resize it height-wise until you can see the songs in the scroll pane on the widget.
4. Apply changes and try to scroll through the songs using the "Music" Widget to see if you have any lag.
This will happen no matter what widget I use, which has a scroll panel.
Thanks in advance guys!
