Simple question !!
As Galaxy nexus is dropped by google (issues with TI)
Will we get Android 4.4 through any custom ROMs? ? ? ? :cyclops:
It all has to do with that OMAP chipset.
It would be nice. Would install it on girlfriend's phone since it seems the lightweight KitKat is perfect for this phone. Its starting to lag bad, although it might be the internal storage speed.

If devs could handle this, we will! Look at Gnex forum, slim brought SlimKat and I've seen a KitKat 4.4r or something like that....

Actually it is not a big deal to get it worked. GN was droped cause it is old(they need to sell moooore new devices), not because "OMAP4 is bad".
By the way, here is omap4 reference device running KitKat:
CPUZ does not know this device, that is why no exact SoC name, but here is omap 4460
Same here, as you can see latest AOSP is onboard.
So the main problem is to get featurefull build, not just "working AOSP"
Yea, Gnex is able to run it, so it should possible on our 4430 I think

This is AOSP (straight from Google). The other N4 Conversion ROM is CyanogenMod 10.1. There is another Jelly Bean ROM, but that doesn't require the conversion because it is an International version from LG (stock).

Issues people are having after going back to stock, such as the camera not working on JB. It's not huge, but to me it means this conversion fundamentally and permanently changes something. I don't like that. I'll continue to sit on the sidelines and see hoe it plays out though.
