I allways wanted to have a transparent navigation bar to have a real 5" display, and finally this feature has been implemented in KitKat 4.4.
But the problem is that only works in the Launcher, it would be amazing to have a transparent status and navigation bar in all apps, specially in the browser.
I put here the idea and a screenshot, hope someone knows how to implement it!
Thanks!

ohh.. sorry.. I mean the notification and status bar as well ..
the below solution is given to get this working, but i'm not clear about it
Just put the alpha transparency in png with photoshop or any other and then go to cyanogen> user interface> colors of notifications and disable custom statusbar.
Hello all! My question is simple. Is there anyway that I could change the colour of the weather icon in Statusbar using Beautiful Widgets? All icons In Statusbar are white and the weather one is grey... It might sound stupid and it probably is but it would be nice if I could change it, I haven't found any options about it in the settings except for the drop down menu weather text color. I'm talking about this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I would like to know if this is possible too, as well as if it is possible to get the actual weather icon next to the temp in the status bar.
I don't quite like the toggles that comes with ReVolt JB ROM on my S2. There are two options for toggles
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
or
I don't like the bar as I have to scroll along the toggles to see all my toggles. The other one takes up a bit too much space with the buttons. What's the possibility on combining the two, like doing away with the buttons saying on/off and just having the icon. So you would have rows of icons instead of scrolling one single row?
Which theme are you using ?? as the System (Default) theme with my ROM, doesn't look like this at ALL !! Did you even see the screenshots I added ?????
I'm using mixer theme. I don't have a problem with the icon, just the toggle layout that come with ROM control.
I have been looking for an app that will place a small, transparent icon on my screen that can launch an application. I would love to have an icon that looks something like the icons for SmartTask Bar and ButtonSavior. But I just want it to be a shortcut so that I can launch any other app the same way.
Here's an image of what I'm talking about. Sorry for the lazy arrows...

I like using Smart Task Bar, but I think I might like "Start Menu" better. But I really like the way that Smart Task Bar launches. Smart Menu just uses a homescreen shortcut.
i like how it has both tray and status bar at the bottom, currently the AOSP ROM i am on has the notification bar at top and nav buttons on bottom which takes away screen space.
anyone know how can i get it like this or will i have to change roms?

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
That's the tablet ui, its obtainable on paranoid android roms.
