Well? Are our phones and the Canadian version compatible with each other?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda premium
I'm not an expert (by any stretch), but no... I don't believe we can run this... although it is exciting that CM10 for the E973 has come that far.
I remember reading the comments of a user or a dev much more knowledgeable than I... he said that E973 can run E970 kernels, and E970 can run E973 kernels, but where the E973 has a leg up is that they can run Nexus 4 kernel... or something to that effect. I can't remember who said that and I tried searching for the post but can't find it, sorry.
Nevertheless... we are getting closer day by day, I would assume, and once this phone is running CM10...I'll be hanging up my flashing gloves for at least a year, probably two.
Yeah, we can't run this. The Canadian one can boot Nexus 4 kernels for some reason, hence 4.2, but we can't. It's stupid that all the variants are different.
That sucks I wonder if we will ever get a cm10.1 ROM why do the phones have to be so different.

I'm confident that we will get a CM 10.1 ROM. It's just not happening as fast as we would like.

We have the L9 right? The L3, L5, and L7 are getting it! So why wouldn't we?! THIS COULD HAPPEN.

I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. It has a working CM11 ( KitKat ) port. Users were experiencing install issues at first. Recovery ended up being the problem. Updated to newest recovery, CWM 6.0.4.4, and installed fine. 4.4 implements some things not supported by previous versions. As of this post, CWM is the only recovery capable of installing 4.4 roms

Good news! Unfortunately only are for L II, Lx
sorry for my bad English! xD
It's two sided. Because of our OMAP chipset, we shouldn't get 4.4 update, but look on the bright side - l9 is the strongest of L series, so why shouldn't we get that update? I mean, what policy LG is using if we won't? Even freaking L3 is getting the update, the oldest L series phone, but L9 no? Cmon

I don't see why you're so against LG - how 'bout a brand new Nexus 5? It's great, just like OG, OG2 - there is nothing strange if not a flagship doesn't get an update to the latest firmware. It's not about LG, it's about all non-flagship phones - all of them get either customs or nothing after a year of support and our L9 got quite a good number of updates!
Because every lg I've ever owned has been thrown at one point or another.
Their habit of locking them down like fort Knox is bs and I'm really sick of being driven nuts every time I get one.

yeah seems there's no vzw.But there'll be one soon surely @houstonn just started these builds but the are stable.
Can you make a video where you show how android 4.4 works on g2? Nobody has made one yet.. So would be great if you was the first:good:And one Question, how is the gaming performance on this rom compared to the stock 4.2.2 lg rom?

Just put this together for myself and decided to share.
Its 100% pure aosp so there isn't much for me to support.
Forgot to mention when I first posted, pre-rooted and busybox pre-installed.
It is set up for Canadian geeb which has green led.
For AT&T you could try xposed and gravity box and set the notification color from there.
Latest build doesn't use touchboost and you should see some battery improvement. Also removed stock aosp recovery from install.

Banks GAPPS I use:

Thanks! Your AOSP 4.4.2 was my first ROM with the geeb, I thought the old thread got bumped until I realized the date and version. I love all the bells and whistles of CM based ROMs, but AOSP + Gravity Box is a pretty good combo.

Alpha is out of the question now. Development just to bad
Sent from my Optimus G using XDA Free mobile app
Imho I think it's not that bad, we got the best roms available for the 850f. (I didn't like miui), I tried most famous ones and ended up with resurrectionRemix on my previous phone. Which I loved (once I found my way in all the little settings )
We got different kernels too and the 850F is rootable, all together this is enough "choice" for me.
If you want the most choice in roms and kernels go for the S-series.
