[Q] Using Sprint EVO 3D with Indian Carriers. - HTC EVO 3D

Hello,
I have a Sprint EVO 3D (US bought) lying around that I was wondering if I could use in India with one of the local carriers. Is it at all possible?
Thanks.

Hi donniezazen, were you able to get your evo 3d up and running in India? I know that the only network it'll rub is on reliance's because Tata has done away with cdma. Please let me know how you did it, if you were successful.

US TO UK Question

Hi guys I'm having evo3d sent from America a friend is given me it would it work in the UK with my UK sim. If not is there anything in can do to make it work like changing the firmware to Europe or can I just root it and use custom roms on it

No, if it's from sprint. Sprint phones use cdma technology, so no slot to put your sim in... Lol, anyways, you need a gsm evo 3d, which nobody carries in the US.

Use my 3D with T-Mobile.

I just moved to Huntsville AL and my phone will not work in my house or at work. I am looking at switching to T-Mobile but I want to keep this phone.
How do I get T-Mobile to use this phone?

you can't have your cdma 3d on tmobile.. if u want tmobile get the comparable sensation.. or if u want to keep sprint and just need service in your home call them and get a free airrave its like a mini cell tower inside your home.
If you have the Sprint Evo 3D, then it won't work with T-Mobile as T-Mobile is a GSM network, unlike Sprint, which is a CDMA network.
You would need a GSM Evo 3D, like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-HTC-EVO...0713039770?pt=Cell_Phones&hash=item35b7919b9a
My Evo 3D (model number PG86300) would work with T-Mobile, as well as with T-Mobile 3G and T-Mobile 4G, but does not work with Sprint.
Can't use the airwave since I do not have internet. I use my phone for internet. I might have to sell it. I have the 3D and a EVO shift to sell. I have to wait for sprint to cancel me for roaming 100% of the time.

[Q] PRL for T-Mobile

I am looking at switching to T-Mobile. My sprint service sucks in Alabama. Before I switch I wanted to test T-Mobile's prl for coverage.
So does anyone have the .prl file for T-Mobile?

Don't believe CDMA devices can operate on GSM networks unless you're possibly on a world phone. Sorry.
Via My HTC Evo 3D On The Now Network From Sprint.
Yea EVO won't work on there network unless u have gsm version witch u don't cause u said ur with Sprint

[Q] Deal of the Day: Sprint EVO 3D on Virgin Mobile

Does anyone know if I purchase a Sprint HTC EVO 3D without a plan, will it work on Virgin Mobile's network? I am thinking about picking this one up:
http://www.cowboom.com/deal-of-the-day.cfm
I'm sure there is a way to do it, you would have to talk to somebody at virgin mobile first. Their evo is the exact same one on sprint so it won't be that hard. Only difference is firmware

There is a way but it involves a dummy phone and esn switching but that's illegal so stick to trying to talk to virgin mobile to get u on there system

Europe EVO 3D in America

I'm going to America for 8 months(Ferris State University, Michigan) and I would like to take my EVO 3D GSM with me.. but will it be useable?
I did read something about a GSM network in America(straightalk or t-mobile) or are they on a completely different frequency? Because then I would need to buy another phone there.

I want to say from my days with T-Mobile that if the phone is unlocked, they will activate it with one of their Sim cards. My only concern is if there is a frequency difference. You could contact T-Mobile and ask them.

At&t is also GSM, but again, unsure about the frequencies they use. T-mobile and att are the big 2 GSM carriers. Most if not all prepaid carriers piggyback off of those 2 or the CDMA carriers.

I would say you are probably ok, gsm is know to be a world phone meaning you can basically use it without sny major ulteration, I am in canada my evo is gsm( as we only have gsm in canada) and I am using an european based rom with no problems, You will definately need a sim card from the u.s. which you can pick up when in the states or you can order one on ebay. You will also need to be unlocked.
