I want to remove my lockscreen but most of the apps I've used work for a while but then seem to stop. Is there a way to remove it thru terminal or adb and would it be permanent? Im rooted but not unlocked if that makes a difference.

Here is a blue lockscreen(AOSP mod);its work on ICS 4.0.4 rooted.
First copy from system/app "UxpNxtLocksreen" in your phone(in case if dont like this mod) then copy and replace "UxpNxtLocksreen" from system/app and reboot
Permision is :RW-R-R
For easy way i made a flashzip named locksreen_blue;enter in CWM and then instal "locksreen_blue"
Awesome work I'm using this now thanks

Hello this is a simple trick for obtain the aosp lockscreen on stock roms (sony based) !!
Requisitement :
ROOT
File Manager with Root access
STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE :
1 Open a whatever file explorer that can have system acces and go to system/app!
2 Be sure that you have mounted read write!
3 Now transform the app name
From :
UxpNxtLockScreen.apk
To :
UxpNxtLockScreen.apk1
And wait a while like 15 seconds.
Turn off the screen and turn on the screen, now you have aosp lockscreen!!!
That's It!!!
For restore the sony locker just rename the file with the original name!!!
Bye
Well done!

Can you explain me?
Simple but very neat hack! :good:
But yes the music control is a bit overlapping when the screen locked.
Not really a big problem though since the control is working.
Oops,
But for me work ,is only bugged the visualisation
I already tried that trick from another thread, and I had trouble answering calls. I had to unlock to do it and it was fairly buggy.

Well, at least we can revert back easily anytime
tested on acro s, everything works fine even music controls.
thanks
OMG seriously. There's a cwm file to flash to put the lock screen on and fix the music buttons location. It was made months ago

10 people do not know!
Can anyone share UxpNxtLockScreen.apk!
Thanks

Well I did see some ROM's with that animation when you lock the screen by the Power Button, some ppl recomend screen on and lock App but you can only use the widget to lock. Someone can mod the framework or something and make a flashable zip of it? I'm running MoonBreaker ROM v2 on locked BL. Thanks!!

I saw some methods that use a xploder or something like that, that enable you to 'unlock' the framework so you can mod it without error, but its dangerous and I didn't understood too much. A flashable zip would be awesome xD!

The Sony Xperia tipo on ICS has this crt off effect when locking the screen. Maybe a dev can look into it?
