Neo (MT15i) SIM card not recognised - Help please - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi, not new to rooting etc. (have a ZTE Blade which have rooted & custom rom in past).
Have inherited Xperia NEO. Was on 2.3.4 stock & locked to UK O2 network. Now does not recognise SIM card (OVIVO on UK Vodafone network) at any software version 2.3 or 4.x.
Have used flashtool to get to 4.1.B.0.587 - fine.
Rooted with DoomLord - think it worked OK.
Tried unlocking with PlasmaTool - had to short a couple of pins to put into test mode. Tested it recognised the phone but did not go any further. Think this is what screwed it up.
Have since got SIM unlock code from O2.
Have also tried 'RESTORE' in S1tools (found in other threads) & reflash but still not working.
Any help welcomed please - how can I get phone to recognise SIM again ? Thanks

Fixed.
If it helps anyone else - I wasn't using the S1tool correctly.
Clicked on Identify, connected phone as directed, clicked on RESTORE. then have to disconnect & reconnect phone as directed. Then says Restore Complete.
Inserted other network SIM - booted phone and prompted for Unlock Code.

[Q] SE X10i signal problem

Please somebody i don`t know what to do more!!!
i have a rooted xperia x10 wich doesn`t log onto the network. my carrier is Orange. the sim card is a new one, cauze i changed it. i have full signal bars but when i enter settings/wireless/network/search network - it finds orange 2G and 3G but when i tap on it it says at first logging on Orange... but after 30 seconds or so, it says : ERROR cannot connect to the network. i would like to mention that the phone worked on this carrier.
Have u installed a rom or kernel on it at all?
Sent from my Xperia X10 using XDA
yes i`ve instaled Oddie`s miui rom and darkHD rom but to instal the miui rom i`ve used the locked bootloader way, that means my bootloader is loocked, now i`m on stock, that was put on using SEUS.
this morning i`ve successfully unlocked my bootloader and curently running MOOKE`s rom. but i still can`t connect to a network. sholud i take my phone to a service to do a sim unlock? can it be that the problem?
Take out sim card and insert again.
Do flash kernel and flash rom as follow OP instruction
Done ^_^. HOpe this help u.
Or
Install kernel and flash rom then insert Sim.
Problem solved
did a recovery through seus, then rooted with flashtool, then reinstaled flashtool and drivers, then did an bootloader unlock and voila, got signal and network connection, flashed MOOke`s rom, which has a very good batery life. thanks
good!

[Q] [P] Problem after upgrade - sim card not found

Hi there,
a friend of mine just got a used xperia p. He inserted his sim card and it worked.
After that he started the current software update. And here is the point. Right after the update no sim card is recognized any more - always says "please insert sim...".
Service menu says everything except sim is locked with 5 possible tries.
I just made a downgrade using flashtool which seemed to free the phone again according to service menu - but no sim card is detected.
An update using flashtool leads to the same problem (locked).
What can I do?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] X10 no sim card after flash

Hello
I have changed stock 2.1? to the latest one 2.3.3 ?
After reboot i've got signal but no sim card detected.
1. I have tried to put few simcards from differents operators, I also have put card to the other phone (works well).
2. I rooted and flashed it again to Cyanogenmod 7 (still no card detected).
3. Flashed again to the lastest stock via PC Companion (repair option)
4. Rooted and unrooted.
5. I unlocked bootloader then locked it again (still no card).
I had looked for any tips or solutions in the few forums but nothing solved my problem yet.
Any ideas ?
I have tried also to put in card with pin code but no pin is detected when phone is turned off.
Sorry for my grammar
Thanks in advance.

No Signal SIM Unlock with new SIM

Hello all!
I was trying to unlock my lil brothers Xperia X10.
Bought credits in FastGSM to use their unlock software
The phone was full stock and never was updated.
First, i used PCCompanion Repair Mode to fully upgrade the phones firmware and leave it full stock.
Then i used X Unlock Tool 1.6 (from FastGSM) to unlock it. Phone was without any SIM and computer was not running any other program.
The process was succesfull. I inserted the new carrier SIM, the "Sim Locked" message not appeared but i was without signal. So i tried to put the original SIM again, it was perfectly working, full signal strenght. It work with original carriers SIM but it wont work with any other carrier SIM.
Did the unlock process again, problema was the same.
I did a search in this forum then tried this:
I re-locked the phone bootloader with S1TOOL
Then went to PCCompanion and did the repair again, leaving the phone full stock again.
Then i took out the SIM, charged full baterry and unsed the unlock tool again. Problem was exactly the same.
Won't work with other carrier SIMs but still working with original carrier SIM.
Any idea?

Xperia Locked after testpoint

Hi everyone!
I bought recenly on an outlet a Xperia Mini Pro sk17a. The phone is network locked, so I tried to unlock it through FastGSM service. The instruction guided me to do a test-point in order to unlock it. The process failed since the server was under maintenance. Now, the phone says that there's no SIM (It detects signal, so I guess the antenna is working) and everytime I choose a network to connect (on manual search, or even automatic) it ends up in an error, claiming that the SIM is not valid for that network.
It still has the original Android Gingerbread on it (since I couldn't update it either) and worked perfectly on 3G until it did the test-point process. I also tried to reset it several times prior creating this topic.
Can you help me on figure out what's the problem?
Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue with wotanserver and the only solution is to do the same procedure again and thats cost money of course.
One year after successful unlock my phone got the same issue with the sim card and now I don't use it anymore.
