KitKat - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Are we getting kitkat to our sg2?
A custom rom?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium

Several kitkat roms , custom ones, will be available. Just wait
Edit - wrong place to ask a question

No. Never.
Edit - Why start a new thread when there's an existing thread here you could have posted to (a couple below yours) ?

I think it is in the correct section as CM = Development?
This section is more for releases. You should post in the original rom thread or the discussion thread in general section. But for your question I can't help you there because I never looked in to that rom sorry

Hey..Hey...Hey... cool down man. I remembered saying "i think". There are other Question threads in this forum, so you should look at them first. If you are seriously not happy, be my guest and ask the mod to shift this thread.
wrong section , close thread , read forum rules -.-
there is a help thread for void in general section , post questions there !!
Use search. Wipe everything, flash again, reboot, flash CMsettings.zip
@amosng1:
if problem goes after a complete wipe (do it in recovery mode) not away,
take a look in the logcat (use windows cmd command, and type "adb logcat"). If u find a
Java exception, post it to the thread from rom - otherwise no1 can help you.
btw @others:
this is not the wrong message board section, FC's are coming from unstable rom's too,
so why not post here?

Well I haven't seen any OP who is not developer, running a thread in Dev section (Anywhere on xda). I know some rom are there which are like a car with no head light, tail light, horn, wipers,or spare wheel,so somethings might not work but posting here will make it hard for the Dev too as such thread die out soon and will hang here for ever.
I request a FAQ section in main p500 thread as many of the phones section has that.

Unzip, add apps to system/apps/ and zip the package again (no compression). You could also drag and drop.. or search xda, there must be other threads where this has been discussed.

how to odex stock rom

I wanna theme my S3 so i wanna how can i odexed my stock rom.
Begin with posting your question in QaA section instead
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
1. Search before posting (it's in the rules)
2. Post in the correct forum
3. You need to DEodex to theme
4. If you aren't motivated to find answers for yourself then you're not ready to start mucking around with ROMs

I want to know what it really means? I want to flash custom ROM, can I still do this?
Search for the error message and all will be revealed

Go back to the CF root thread and read it or read the ten thousand posts asking the same question .

I successfully installed the custom ROM. The error was due to the incompatibility of Jelly Bean with CWM. BTW if you cant help don't reply

BTW if YOU cannot search and are to lazy to read the thread you are in the wrong forum this is XDA Developers not some fix my phone forum .
Those are the rules which you blatantly ignored .

I definitely searched first but nothing concrete was available... for a newbie rooting and installing custom ROM is risky at first... and i respect u for being a senior member but senior members should guide juniors and yes i know its xda developer forum i came here to learn, so far so good
