I got a cheap 7" tablet for my daughter and it has Jelly Bean on it but the firmwares a bit laggy.
I want to backup the current formware and install a custom ROM.
Anyone suggest a way to do it?
It is currently on 4.1.1 and is an A9 Cortex 1.9 Ghz with 4Gb storage
Thanks
Got some more info, I've found the current firmware is by Wondermedia-WMI, so I have googled this and found it is a clone/rebranded Eken W70.
What is the best firmware for this device? Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Hi
I purchased a Tf 201 from eBay and I discovered that it is running a ROM called AOKP on Android 4.0.4
I have unlocked the tablet but now I would greatly appreciate the possibility to upgrade the firmware to a more modern Android version (Jelly bean 4.3?) and also change the old ROM already installed
I have no idea how could I do it....should I upgrade first the firmware then the ROM ? Where can I get a new one for my tablet?
I am eagerly waiting for some tips on the way to solve this issue
Thank you very much
So probbably this had been asked before a lot of times but i couldn't find something to help me- I am relatively new to Android and I have a Boxchip A13 1.2GHz Cortex-A8 Processor Chineese tablet- Jetway ALfar 781-8g. So it came with ICS 4.0 and I want to install Jelly Bean on it somehow. So is there any way I can achieve this? I don't mind rooting it or stuff like this I just want to know if I can run Jelly Bean on it. So I will really appreciate if someone give me a good answer to this and tnx in advice
