When I upgrade anytime to either stock android or custom rom my keyboard always had an issue when typing when I hit space it will back space and can't fix unless I delete and start typing over. I am on HTC one

Hey I just got my HTC one coming from the galaxy note 3 which had tones of problems. I don't know if this was mentioned because this phone came out in February, but I wanna make the best out of my battery. I've restarted my phone and all that. But nothing. I wanna root my phone cause it was trouble to do that with Samsung. If I rooted it and removed all the bloat wear would that helpp ?

Anyone else getting an error when trying to complete the setup for the HTC TV app? It was working before yesterday (I had to set it up again after flashing a new version of a ROM). I've reinstalled the app with no success. Wondering if its something wrong on HTC's end.
