Firstly i want to say that i found many users saying htc ime keyboard force close or cant show in our x8...!!
I tryied htc ime keyboard which worked for me perfectly and wanted to share...!!

Install the apk as all apk files are done and then in settings then language and keyboard enable htc ime keyboard..next find a input and long press on it and select input method and then select htc ime simple now your done with htc ime keyboard...

Hi. I need your help please. X10 mini was rooted and now I need to install Hebrew fonts, I did it before on Galaxy S , HTC Desire but here when I enter terminal cant see any keyboard, how should I type? Do you have any other way to install Hebrew?

did you try to install the "Israel pack" ?
Google "android israel pack" (I can't send links from outside websites yet...)
it did the job on my x10 mini.
and I'm using SlideIt who also support Hebrew (and also anysoftkeyboard)
numbers sometimes are backwards, and i can see the headline in gmail (but i can read the mail in Hebrew)

Push these fonts to /system/fonts, reboot.

i just bought x10mini pro (my first android phone) and trying to install hebrew fonts, following the quoted procedure i get a message where it's said that no results have been found in android market for israelpack...
and i don't know how it works to push the fonts
anyone can help me please?

assuming that you already rooted your phone
1. Google for "android israel pack" , use the first link on Google: "israelpack - Project Hosting on Google Code"
2.use the direct download link
3.copy the IsraelPack_latest.apk file to your SD card.
4.use the application installer (on your phone) to install the pack.
5.on the pack download the Hebrew fonts.
6.restart the phone.
that's it...
worked on my phone, x10mini.
URGENT. Installed israelpack - everything in Chinese now
Rooted Motorola DEFY (2.1) and installed israel pack as described. Selected only the fonts option. After reboot, everything is in Chinese fonts. How do I get out of this? I tried to uninstall israelpack but the buttons have text in Chinese so I do not know what to click on.
Need help badly!

Update: somehow, after rooting the phone and installing israelpack, I got some malware into the phone - everything was displayed in Chinese and ads for new cars were shown at the bottom.
In my attempts to restore defaults, I also unplugged the battery and ... the lovely English fonts came back!! And when I go to a website with Hebrew text, the text is displayed correctly.
All in order now but I wish I knew what malware was installed and how to get rid of it FOR GOOD.
I can't get swipe to work on x8. It says that "The Swype package you installed is configured for another device and will operate with limited functionality."
Anyone that has working swipe pls share.
did you get the right package? you should get swype for HVGA devices (propably you downloaded version for WVGA phones)
I got the installer from there official site witch downloaded the full 10 mb version.

i installed the given application and got the message the application trial period has expired. anyone can give me any insight on this.
I tried swype keyboard, the dictionary is way better, but I prefer to use Slideit, try that and you will love it, it has a lot of languagues, you just need download the dictionary.
i just flashed the new rom miui 1.11.4 and its not support arabic , i flashed the attached RTL file through recovery after mounting system as said in the instructions but didnt get arabic keyboard , what to do ?!!!

I think you missed the point of my links, the first one being the place for questions and answers relating to MIUI. Anyway, do you actually have an arabic keyboard installed?

You're still missing this? Just because your question isn't answered in there, doesn't mean you shouldn't ask there, rather than making a new thread.
Anyway, if you don't have an arabic keyboard installed, how are you expecthing it to work? Install a keyboard from the market which supports arabic.
A search of "arabic keyboard" on the Android Market.

I think you're not understanding. The native MIUI keyboard clearly doesn't support arabic. You need to install a 3rd party keyboard, which you enable through changing your input method in settings -> language and keyboard.

I need full hardware keyboard support in cm9 (with autocompletion), it's really usefull feature. I done some research on this forums, but with no result. There was an .apk but, the apk supported only display keyboard. There was also .zip flashable through CWM but he FC when i pressed the SYM button. Somebody got the solution?

sorry its not possible but you can install swiftkey3 from playstore and get all the features like xperia keyboard has

To those that want different language packs from Samsung keyboard but kept getting FC with S pen or handwriting pad after trying to update / install new languages, here is a temporary fix until the ROM developer get this fix for good.
Instructions:
1) Download the language pack zip into your sdcard
2) Also download the FC keyboard fix by Sotmax using the link below into your sdcard
3) Go to the language and input setting and download the handwriting language that you desire
4) You should get FC everytime you try to input with S pen or using handwriting pad
5) Flash language pack zip via CWM recovery
6) Flash Sotmax FC keyboard fix via CWM recovery

Force Crash I think.
i though this problem was already solved with the myscript resource manager.apk somewhere in the mode note3 thread. i've being use that since its being out. kind of work out find for me. no more fc even when i change several language.
