I've got strange flickering issue with my phone which has only just started recently. I've had a search around and the videos I have seen on youtube aren't the same as the issue I am having. I have tried the disable hardware overlays option but this hasn't solved it. I have uploading a video on youtube which shows 2 recordings of the issue, one after the other, each slightly different.

Can anyone advise what this might be? The phone is about 18 months old so I want to get repaired/replaced under warranty by Samsung if that is what is needed.
thanks

Hi, I need help with my wallpaper. I flashed resurrection's ICS rom and now when I set my wallpaper it doesn't display properly (i.e. it is cut off)
I took a ss of my wallpaper which is supposed to show a full length body but it only shows a portion of it. Can anyone help? I cant post in the android devt forum as I have less than 10 posts. And I just realised I can't post links as well... oh well can anyone help? I will upload after 8 posts.
Ok finally got the pic:

Bumping your own thread after 6 minutes? Wow, demanding much?
You're using a ROM based on a leaked, buggy, unstable ROM and should therefore expect problems. If you encounter them, instead of making a new thread, read the thread(s) for existing issues. A search of that ROM's thread for "wallpaper" returned 171 results.
Do some searching and reading. If you do that and can demonstrate that you've tried and are still having issues, refer back to the statement above.
Otherwise revert to a stock, officially released ROM and contact Samsung for any support you need in future.

Use Wallpaper Wizardii to set your wallpaper. Select your desired wallpaper and select scale.

Hi all,
This is my first time posting in this forum but after reading some of your replies in the main thread, I figured that I'd give some of my input too
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1486199
Defect list
- Video call not working unless used with 3rd party apps (Skype etc) [KNOWN]
- High battery drain using 3rd party video calling apps [KNOWN]
- No Swype feature, I thought this was supposed to be a stock feature with all mods/custom roms but Foxhound doesnt have it for some reason.
- Voice search on Google/Google Search widget doesnt record voice and always shows an error
- Attaching media to SMS via share option doesnt attach on first try. I'll have to create an SMS and then attach pics, files etc thru the msg rather than the other way around. This worked great in ICSrewd and some other ROMS but not on this one.
Otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with the ROM, its quite stable and has given me the best battery life I could ask for even running live wallpapers. My average battery time varies anywhere from 16-21 hrs depending on light to moderate usage.
I watched 3 movies back to back and was still left with 30% charge on the phone.

(w.e your question is)
You really should ask the developer, which he isn't in this forum.
Check the i9100 section.

I tried to but since this is my first post ever, I cant post directly into the Android development forum or is that not what you were referring to?
By the way how do I contact the dev directly? or is that not possible?

You need to post in the I9100 forum....go to the very top right of the screen where it says "FIND YOUR PHONE" and type in I9100 and find the thread your looking for.
Got it! Thanks

hi. i've upgraded from gb2.3.5 to ics 4.0.3 on my sgs2. now, if i want to change the default audio setting in the service mode, it cannot be selected. all others work fine. if i select "5" (for audio), it just shows the same screen. in gb i could change the settings. why?
As posted already search and see if that post has an answer .
jje
Any traction on this? I can't access the Audio option either. I tried to load up the serviceModeApp.apk from an earlier firmware but there is a checksum in place.
Does anyone with more android experience have any luck?
i'm also looking for a solution to this - incredible that there isn't more threads on this as i thought it was a fairly wide issue

A hundred threads just mess the forum up and dont fix an issue .
Its already been posted that ICS appears to be missing that option 5 in some versions .
Why ask Samsung .

Hello,
long time no post here^^
I just got myself an S3 and coming from an i8000 with Window Mobile I had a LOT to read and "study" these past few days^^ (I almost didn't touch a smartphone in 2 years too... long story)
After flashing a couple of ROMs and reinstalling my apps with Titanium Backup, I got a bit bored of having to revise all the Settings manually.
Is there a way to somehow save the many Settings and restore them on a new ROM? On WinMo it was easy to make a .reg file with all my favorite settings to apply on a new ROM but here I have no clue (as I also read it's not possible/good to backup system data from a ROM to a new one)
Any suggestion to at least make the process a bit easier? to at least preserve settings such as my preferred vibration strength, ringtone, screen timeout, font size, etc
Thanks! (and sorry in case I missed something obvious... I exposed myself to really a lot of new stuff in just 2 days and I am bit overwhelmed with searching new apps, ROMs and themes, learning about the OS and rooting, discovering the phone features and accessories/cases, etc)
Not possible at all?
There are multiple posts asking this question .
Use search as i have vowed not to reply to such questions if their is an R in the month .
jje
Would you care to provide me some keywords for my search? I tried something like "import settings to new rom" and the like but nothing relevant come up... just some references to Titanium Backup (as I wrote before in my post) or unanswered questions similar to mine or just about importing apps/contatcs/logs/etc
Thanks anyway
Anyone? the post above gave me some hope but I really can't find anything I wonder what I am doing wrong... usually I am not so dumb @[email protected]
One last try before giving up^^

As you can see in the picture I attached to the thread....
When I pull down my status bar I see my notifications well I have one problem. It shows my notification when I have some but no matter what it always says 'Sorry, try again' at the bottom like you can see in the picture!
Is there any way I can erase that annoying text is it by modifieng a certain .res file? Anyways I have no clue on how to fix this so help is gladly appreciated!
Please, anybody...

Being impatient isn't going to help your chances.
And it would help if you gave us some more information. Like, what have you tried to do to fix this? Have you tried another rom? Have you reflashed your current rom?

You are absolutely right and the rules linked at the top of each forum state the following:
16. Bumping Threads (posting simply to force a thread to the top of the thread queue)
Do not "bump" a thread more than once per 24 hours.

If nobody answers your post that probably means your problem is uncommon and you just have to wait until someone recognizes it. "Annoying" usually doesn't imply an emergency.

Its because you have airplane mode turned on. Until it finds a carrier network(whose name it should be displaying there) it will keep on showing that message.
Thank you very much!
