[Q] Soft Brick? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently rooted i747 with CWM and flashed Android 4.3 with no issues (shoulda just stopped there). I wanted to flash CM 10.2... data/factory reset, cache wipe, Davlik wipe... but flash failed. Rebooted into recovery to reflash 4.3, but nothing is found under sdcard/0. What am I missing? Thanks for any help!

Data and factory reset before flashing with odin, after flashing just let it boot up by itself.

[Q] Galaxy S3 Stock Rom

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there is somehwere I can download the Official rom from.
I installed cyanogen mod 9 on my S3 using clockwork recovery mod and it wiped my backup.
I have tried sammobile but the problem is I need it for version: I9300XXLH1. I am located in Australia.
While on the topic, I have a friend who is using a S3. Could I possibly install CWM and copy a backup off his phone?
Please help, I miss all my features haha.
The official stock rom does not exist .
Many official roms .
CHECKFUS is probably your best method .
Could I possibly install CWM and copy a backup off his phone?
Probably .

Why don't you just flash the JB rom with Odin that was released yesterday.
After that, go into stock recovery and do a wipe data/factory reset and you're good to go.

[Q] Unable to Flash cMIUI [JB] from stock ICS on Galaxy S2 I9100G

Hi all,
I have a SGalaxy S2 I9100G.
I recently unrooted the device and installed Official samsung ICS {with ICS bootloaders}
My Issue is, I am unable to install cMIUI.
- I'm able to flash CWM 5.5.04 successfully via Odin and boot into recovery.
- cMIUI installation also completes successfully but after reboot gets stuck on S2 i9100G logo
Q. Do i need to flash any other kernel? recovery? or the method isn't correct?

[Q] Downgrading from 4.3

First off , correct me if any of what im saying is wrong. IF u updated via OTA to 4.3 then u cannot go back to 4.1.2? Something about knox. I never did an ota upgrade , i just flashed a 4.3 rom .. now i wanna go back to a 4.1.2 rom (better batterlife) but im not sure if i have to or can Odin to do so or if i can just flash a 4.1.2 rom Via Philz recovery.? My phone is rooted and bootloader unlocked since 4.1.2.
Do not use odin to flash roms....use custom recovery if you are bootloader unlocked.
Sent from my SCH-I605 / Galaxy Note 2 / JB 4.3 / Unlocked, Rooted, ROMed and Devil-ed !!... using Tapatalk v 2.4.13
same as above, only use odin if you want to back to stock factory.
since your bootloader unlock, just find a custom based 4.1.2 rom and flash it via philz, cwm, or twrp.

Are you trying to install 4.2+ rom? if yes you need to:
wipe/date
wipe/cache
wipe/dalvik cache
go to mounts and storage if you have CWM or wipe advanced wipe if in TWRP
format/system in CWM
Check system in advanced wipe in TWRP
flash the rom
reboot
If you are trying to install 4.1.2 you need to:
wipe/date
wipe/cache
wipe/dalvik cache
flash the rom
reboot
