This is for those decided to never take any OTAs and hold on to their MDK bootloader. This is also for those of us with the Dev Ed that apparently won't ever see any updates....not that we'd take them anyway. I pulled apart joderme's .tar file, got rid of all the bad stuff (bootloader & such), and kept the good stuff.
Jrkruse took this base and added some Aroma goodness to it. He also ported over the sweet dark dialer and contacts from the int'l version.:good: This build also includes a custom loki'd kernel by Talexop . Surge1223's wifi tether mod and swgamez reboot menu are also included.

To install:
Must be on SCH-i545 VZW S4
Must be on MDK bootloader and have custom recovery (cwm or twrp).
Wipe cache, dalvik cache and data. (If you choose to "dirty flash", don't bring up any problems here).
When rebooting from recovery, it will ask if you want to "Disable Recovery Flash". Always choose "NO".

Sorry. This can only be flashed from custom recovery like cwm or twrp. You would have to be on mdk.

This is the official s4 verizon 4.3 mj7 update that he deodex'ed rooted and some other stuff. So no it's not a port. This was meant for our phones this is just a rooted version for mdk s4 users with recovery.

Welcome! If you found yourself looking for something like CleanROM based on the new 4.4.2 OTA, then you have come to the right place. Scott has moved on to other devices, so I decided to follow along with what he started. This has been thoroughly tested by myself and others with no issues. Want stability you can trust? I have not had a reboot with this ROM, nor have any testers. For best results, please follow the installation instructions below!

Installation:
Must have recovery installed (I recommend either Philz or CWM)
Copy ROM to external SDcard
Flash the new 4.3 firmware with Odin 3.07 from the OTA found HERE!
Reboot to current ROM
Reboot to Recovery
Wipe Data/Factory reset (I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Cache (Again, I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Dalvik Cache
I recommend formatting System, Cache, Data, and /sdcard (internal memory) on first install but this may not be completely necessary as it will wipe absolutely everything. If you decide to wipe the internal memory, make sure your backups and this ROM is stored on the external sdcard.
Flash ROM

A couple things to note:
This is built from the OTA tar. Not another ROM or the leak!
If you use a different kernel, do not report issues until you verify issue with stock (included kernel).
If you do not flash firmware with Odin and use Mobile Odin instead, do not report issues until you flash FW with Odin on the computer.
I am not responsible if you brick your phone, but of course you would know that if you are flashing this.
Of course your warranty is already voided from rooting your phone.
If you would like to use this as a base, please include me in your credits and link to this thread.

Trust me I been a fan of CR since I got my note 2 back in march too bad Scott moved to other devices. But krowley3 came through with this rom. in my own opinion this rom is good as CR I been running it for over 24 hrs no reboots no fc this rom is fast smooth and solid. Try it you won't regret it

I'm up and running! Almost got to impatient during the Verizon boot but I just set it aside... didn't take long.
I can't get the WiFi to turn on.... I've seen this before and I thought flipping the Mobile Data off and on would fix the issue but it didn't work. I wiped my internal sdcard because I had too many backups. I will keep playing around with it, like I said I've seen this before I just can't recall what I did to fix it....

I got so excited I skipped that step. What makes me feel so stupid, is I just downloaded the firmware patch with another ROM that I was getting ready to load before the ROM popped up!

Did you flash firmware before or after flashing the rom? Does the switch immediately go back to off or does it try to turn on and eventually go back to off?
Also make sure you verify MD5 hash on both the firmware and rom download.

Ha, now I'm up and running! WiFi, Camera, GPS Lock, blah, blah, blah I've never used NFC so I don't test that.

Same basic. We built it together from tar. Just different tweaks between them. Wont notice major difference right now. But in later updates there will br big changes between the two.

This one has alil bit more unseen debloating then the other digitelblazed
I was up all night last night. Remappin aroma. Gonna be able to pick and choose apps thru the aroma to slim down the running rom even more. Hope to push this out in a few days. Also gonna unpack the mods and have them chooseable in the aroma as well.
After all that. THEN its theming time and thats wutz majorly gonna seperate the two.

I would never recommend dirty flashing. But you could give it a try. But then again thats not gonna debloat it. I would at least wipe everything but data.

If things go to plan this will b a black n red themed rom. And what im trying to firgure out now is the status bar and notifcation. So if anyone knows a way to help. Or kno or a way to bake my wanam settings in it automatically. That be awesome.

I have the sprint ni3 modem and etc. but when the rom boots up i have no data. i rebooted to recovery flashed data fix after cache and dalv. and it will not go past the spring activation screen still with no data. flash 3 different sprint apn things from xda and still rom is a no go past activation.

Maybe you have to have NI3 firmware installed to get stock kernel to boot.
where do i get the Ni3 modem is that the newest sprint modem?
is there a version i can flash in twrp without system? Im a little confused.
i want to use the ni3 version but im unsure if my modem is correct i have flashed other roms previously and it seems as though no matter what modem im on it does not display the name correctly in the system settings.

Ni3 sprint ne2 Verizon
Here are the OK4 versions for the Sprint G900P. This does not include the modem, kernel, or bootloader. If you want to fully update to OK4 you need to flash the full tar through Odin, then flash your custom recovery. Afterwards, you can flash this.
It seems that you need to be updated to OK4 for this to run properly.
-Run the full OK4 tar (see link below)
-Let the phone fully boot
-Boot into download mode
-Flash custom recovery through odin
-Make a backup
-Wipe system, data, cache (like always)
-Flash through custom recovery
-First boot will take about 10-15 minutes.

I really need to get this thing rooted again lol. Couple questions, does this have the hot spot mod and if I stick with the odex version will the blacked out apps work or is that only on the deodexed roms? Sorry for that last question, but I've always used deodexed so I'm not sure. Mostly curious really.
I'm working on that mod and a few others as we speak. I don't have an answer for the blacked out apps, I'm not sure what has changed.

Is everyone else missing Profile and PRL updates in settings?
Thank you for this! So I wiped everything 3 times and installed each file. It sit on the Samsung logo for about 25 minutes... I had to restore as my battery was getting low. I was coming off a 6.0 ROM. But like I said I wiped everything... Any ideas on what I did wrong ?

You should be rooted and have Safestrap on your device. Installer flashes proper kernel, which is OC1...
Flashed NC2 files with Odin and installed SuperSU, BusyBox and Safestrap then flashed Rom and Modded Rom Control v7.1. My Baseband version is N900AUCUCNC2 (picture) is that right or should I flash the rooted OC1 Rom? UPDATE! flashed the rooted OC1 Rom and that took care of the Baseband, now showing N900AUCUEOC1.

I have not put my phone down in the last 24 hours because it's suddenly new again. This is EXCELLENT work here!! I would like to thank you for porting this ROM. I just can't say it enough! My only question is I cannot figure how to enable the dark UI or the blurred people stripe and NFC fix. I flashed it in safe strap but nothing. I was able to flash the rom control however! Can you give any assistance with that? Thanks!!!

I don't use NFC, so don't know if it works out not. Install PeopleStripe after RomControl. That should work. See picture...

To get it to work for me, I had to change the system ui to marshmallow then I saw the change in the icons. Hope the 2 helps!

To get to safestrap, you have to first find the correct safestrap 3.75. Unfortunately I don't have a link. You need to also make sure you have busybox and supersu installed as well. Lastly, you'll need to have the NC2 flasher apk installed to be able to boot into SS. Allow everything supersu permission and you're all set. The SS apk and the NC2 flasher can be found very easily in the forums. Good luck!

I highly advice against that my friend. SS is the only way for the locked bootloader. You will soft brick your phone! Trust me on that one

Out of curiosity, can this rom be used on the N900A? I thought that 5.1.1 couldn't be used with the N900A, and I thought this rom was a 5.1.1 base?

This rom is 5.0.2 base so it's safe for N900A with Safestrap
