[App Studio] US Carrier Apps - Windows Phone 8 Apps and Games

This is similar to my OEM apps, but for the four major Mobile Operators in the US: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
This was built using Windows Phone App Studio, so this can be downloaded directly onto your phone without the use of a deployment tool.
NOTE for old V1 and V2.0 Users: I'm no longer offering the installation links for the App Studio deployment method. Please use the store version if you wish to continue to receive updates.
Source is untouched and attached.
App8.zip is the source for Windows Phone 8.0
App-New.zip is the source for Windows 8.1 (Modern UI mode) and Windows Phone 8.1.

The V1 edition was made on November 8, 2013.
The V2 edition is complete as of Christmas Day, 2013!
I began attempting to publish on January 10, 2014.
The app was released in the Windows Phone Store/Marketplace on February 19, 2014!
The V2.1 edition added images for the apps and Verizon's new "Tones" app.
Windows Phone 8.1 Support was added June 24, 2014.

now we need some users to use fiddler with sprint, verizon,at&t and grab correct url info for this Operator.
like this one:

this way we can try all those apps on other devicedevice.

You can check the Verizon one pretty easy. They were posted almost everywhere while Spartan Assault was still exclusive.
Sent from my RM-860 using Tapatalk

If anyone has devices from these carriers, please let me know if your phone shipped with some carrier locked apps. I have Verizon and Sprint's list complete, but AT&T was something I tried quick to get working and have something in place, while I have nothing for T-Mobile. So if you have a T-Mobile device, then please post links to the store link for your apps!
EDIT: Nevermind, I went out and bought these devices to get the app-ids, also to hack, but its still annoying that they are hidden from the store...

UPDATE!!!!
I've updated the app to include all of AT&T's apps.
OEM ID's Confirmed so far.... for fiddler or another proxy tool.
VZW-US (Verizon Wireless)
ATT-US (AT&T)
TMO-US (T-Mobile USA)
null (some Sprint apps)

T-Mobile USA's apps have now been added!!! The only issue with it is that they are listed as unpublished, but that might be controlled based on the SIM... "My Account" should be install-able on any Windows Phone that has a T-Mobile SIM in it.
Also hoping to redo this entire app to directly launch the store instead of launching the web browser to launch the store (which requires logging into.) EDIT: DONE!

I fixed some problems with several URLs that nobody had noticed yet. I also cleaned it up a bit, so let me know if you notice anything broken!
EDIT: Apparently I also have some URLs pointing to the wrong app. It will be fixed soon!
EDIT 2: Everything is done except the images. I guess I'm close to publishing once I can think of a name for it and a half decent image for the app, tiles and the loading screen it will be finalized.
I have yet to determine if I want to add advertising to the store version or not, while removing the $.99 charge. It depends on if I ever get any feedback on this app....

Okay.... I submitted the app to the store, but since it was a pain in the @SS making this app, requiring me to purchase a Lumia 520, Lumia 521, and an HTC 8XT. I've made the app $.99. All of those who have installed this with the App Studio method can still do so, and they won't have to deal with paying for it. I'll make it free in the store once I have recouped some of my costs, or if no one ends up downloading it.

Moved to OP

I've updated the app to V2.1, because Verizon launched a new ringtones+ringback app, and I went ahead and added images to the app instead of looking at those terrible low-res bullet points.
Please rate my app! I've only had TWO DOWNLOADS from the store since I had launched it, and the way publishing works I won't see any money for a long while.

I've thought about reworking the logo to be of the four carriers, but nobody has said anything! I'm still waiting for at least a review. I'm going to make the app free, as I still haven't got any downloads and trying to recoup costs was a lost cause. Just means that I'll add advertisements eventually to the store edition.

I just snatched it up, amd by coincidence snatched fiddler earlier today to check out some stuff. All the links I've checked are good so far. I'll fire it up later and report back.
Thanks man!!

Hey everyone, just thought I'd pop my head back in. The app was updated for Windows Phone 8.1 support on 6/24/2014 and now I've seen anywhere from 1 download per day to 3. I have a total of 127 downloads and in 22 different countries, after all, a niche app is a niche app.
Oh, also a note, WiFi Calling only works on T-Mobile Phones (their Lumia 521 or the new 635) due to a things needing to be baked into the ROM.
I'll be updating the app, because AT&T added a new app, called AT&T Connect.
Ranking (downloads per country)
US has 86 downloads.
India has 8 downloads.
UK has 5 downloads.
Turkey and Poland have 3 downloads.
Canada, Israel, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Spain all have 2 downloads.

It would actually be Really Cool to be able to bake that driver (for WiFi calling) into a custom ROM, but sadly that's probably not really practical with the limited amount of ROM editing we can do right now. Doing it at runtime requires *adding* registry keys, which is (annoyingly) a lot harder than just editing them... although it may be possible to get it working by cannibalizing some other driver or service that we don't care about. In any case, I don't even know if the signature on it will be tolerated by non-TMoUS phones.

I think the only solution for the time being is to wait for someone to leak the tools for creating a ROM. We could essentially take the precompiled binaries and just add an extra superpackage for stuff we might want and release it into the wild, but I'm pretty sure they track those things pretty well.... If one slipped they'd revoke their SSL certificate.

Crap, MS removed the Windows 8.1 Store app, that I was testing. They claimed that it violated the ToS. Oh well, all the app did was launch Zune anyways!

2.1.2 Update!
New version is out. I've added a few new apps, but due to a change in the App Studio, they must be launched via URL and bit.ly. The store URLs are too long to enter now and the old ones can't be changed. I attempted to modify them a bit playing with Visual Studio, but to no avail. Starts complaining about the built-in advertisement framework stuff which is disabled by default and still unmodified.

Hello folks!
I've ran into an issue with Microsoft. Due to an issue I had previously with the Windows 8.1 Desktop app, and windowsphone.com being merged, I am no longer able to update the app. I can post status updates in the app, but beyond that I can't do much except to offer the source and manual deployment offerings again. Let me know what you guys think.

New Utility 'CallCalendar'

Hey all,
I recently wrote a new program that you can all have if you want.
This will log all incoming and outgoing calls and publish them as private appointments on your calendar.
This is great for logging when you talked to someone, or you can just go back and edit the new appointment and add notes directly to it.
After you install it you must either launch it manually by browsing to the installed file location, or you may simply reboot your device and it will launch upon the next boot automatically.
Requirements:
Windows Mobile 5 or greater
.Net Compact Framework 2
I have only tested on my HTC Cingular 8525

Enjoy!!
Also, let me know if you have suggestions

Update: A user pointed out a bug with the date in this app, I have corrected this now please uninstall the old and redownload the app and reinstall.
Sounds really cool I am checking it out now.
I am also starting to develop some windows mobile apps. I am a web app developer by trade. All of my professional work goes into developing .NET 2.0 web apps. I just started developing on the compact framework. I find the compact framework to be very easy but I am starting to wonder if I should just focus on C++ for the mobile platform instead. It seems that everything I want to do is done through interop and only the interface is done on managed code. What do you think?
I am new to developing for the windows mobile platform as well, but from what I have found is there is a lot you can do with the compact framework, but the documentation is virtually nill.
That being said, you could still develop using the .net cf 1.0 and not require the 2.0 to be installed as 1.0 is already embedded into the rom.
My personal thought is take advantage of the .net it saves lots of time and coding. I wrote my program in about 3 hours.
Also, let me know if you want my source code, I'll be glad to offer it up.

Source code would be cool. It doesn't seem to work on WM6 unless it doesn't log outgoing calls. Or perhaps I need to soft reset to get it to work?
I am working on an app to get the time via an internet timeserver. There is one available for $15 but I think I can make a better one myself. Do you have the new SDK with the WM6 device emulators? It makes testing a lot faster for these litttle apps.
Let's get this thing going, this is XDA developers, most people here are like where can I get the latest rom, which is cool but I think we can put our heads together and develop some apps that will solve problems or extend functionality on the platform.
I will gladly offer my source code also. Do you use VS2005?

I do use VS2005, the WM6 SDK is at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...3A-A651-4745-88EF-3D48091A390B&displaylang=en
Did you launch the program when you were done installing it? Do you have the Compact Framework 2.0 installed? A reset of the device will launch the program automatically so if you haven't launched it you could simply reset. Let me know and I would like to get it working for you.

Ok it does work after a soft reset. That is pretty cool.
I am going to do a little more work on my internet time app then I will release the source code for that also. Right now it is the most basic of apps. I only spent maybe an hour on it. Most of that time was spent looking around on the net for how to use the interop to set the time and whatnot.
I can't load the project, it says something about not being able to load something that doesn't exist in my datastore.
Question, why use VB if you know all those languages? Your resume says that you do all sorts of development. Why o why use VB?
You don't have the WM5 SDK installed

I installed your new one and it caused the time recording to be off by -4 hours. I am in EST (-5)
Old one ran perfectly.
Modified CallCalendar
I have taken KingFetty's app and modified it to have more functionality.
* Added menu's
* Configurable to optional minimizing on startup. (Running it again will restore the app.)
* Added a list box to show the records.
* Added the option of recording missed calls as well.
* Added notification. Using WM notification services, it can optionally show a popup when a tracked event occurs. I used this for debugging, but some may like it.
Let me know what you think, and any suggestions for additions.

[CANCELLED] XDA-Marketplace (Source-code released & attached)

UPDATE - 20.10.2010
--------------------
Due to overwhelming interest in the source-code I've decided to attach it here in the frist post.
Maybe some of you can collaborate, or do your own twist on it.
Some specs:
ASP.NET MVC2 (.NET 4 & C#)
Entity Framework as ORM
SQL Server 2008 (Express used for development)
Scripts for creating database and inserting some dummy-data is included.
Don't expect clean and tidy code. Some places it's a real mess...
Enjoy!
UPDATE - 12.10.2010
--------------------
The reason for updating this first post is unfortunately not the reasons I hoped it would.
I'm sorry to say I no longer have the time or energy to uphold the devotion and work required to finish the marketplace site. Being in a full time job, having a life and everything that includes simply does not allow for a project of this scale to be developed in a timely fashion. It's with regret I'm prematurely ending the project, and I'm sorry for disappointing you by doing so.
In addition to the lack of time, it's also a lack of motivation - reason being the introduction of WP7, already existing similar solutions for Android and Apple has it's closed-up AppStore.. I'm just not sure I see the potential I once did.
If anyone would like to have a look at the projectcode, I will more than happily zip it down along with the database script. Please PM me if you're interested.
Once again, I'm really sorry.
[ANNOUNCED] XDA-Marketplace
Hi all!
I have mentioned this in another thread, but wanted to hilight this request.
I`m woundering if there is a chance that some one could make a "XDA Markedplace" for the phone?
So all Themes, tweakes, programs and other could be collected in one place
Would also like to see something similar on this site. All in one place!
Or an external site with categories. Graphics, info and download on the program, tweak, theme etc, and discussion her on the board.
I dont know if some of this things are doable, but i would really like so se somehing similar
-Exlo
a marketplace would be nice, because you could highlight programs as functionalable or not to secific devices or OS!
Some time ago I thought of creating a new marketplace for WM but I'm not so sure if we really need it.
Wow that would be awesome! It'd be like cydia.. only for WM!
Great idea, moreover, nothing to pay to Microsoft for a app on this kind of marketplace, so we can imagine to put others free apps (which are not on the microsoft marketplace)
Ok, so lets say someone will create a new wm appstore/marketplace, which features do you want it to have? So far:
1. Many apps (unlike MS marketplace), including from xda developers.
2. Requirements by OS/tested with devices.
3. Accessible from browser and/or WM app.
What else?
World wide acces to all apps. No more regions!

I think this is a great idea. The xda forum is hard to navigate since there's no categories. The forum should only be used as support and beta.
Martin
the main idea was to gather all apps, tweaks etc. in one place since its very hard to navigate in the forum without categories.
Would also like to se a section her in the forum(or external) with categories and graphics.
I have tried to write this many many times, why and how this could be done, but my english is so poor, that i almost couldnt read it my self
doesn't sound hard to achieve, there are so many windows mobile app sites but none it seems really stand out.
If we can create a website which can be accessed via pc, mobile friendly website and also a wm app then we have a winning combination. All we need to start is some web hosting - and that's not exactly expensive. Surely we have enough people on the forum who have the right skills to make and design the various bits.
+1. Great idea.
MarketPlace and its stupid region restriction is so frustrating.
I'm on it
Anyone feel like whipping up some design sketches?
What I have planned so far:
- No login required unless you want to upload your own apps or leave comments/ratings on apps
- Only freeware/donation-apps will be allowed in the beginning
- No limitiations regarding phonemodel or os
- Of course no regions
- Anyone can upload their own apps, update with new versions.
- Commenting and rating funcionality
- Screenshots
At the moment I've set up the database structure, and most of the "business-logic" layer of the application, but no web-interface has been done yet.
I've written the service-layer with an open API in mind - That way we might encourage the more savvy WinMo-developers to create an app for the phone, since I'm no good at that.. I'll make a simple mobile-friendly verison of the web, and I'm also implementing automatic QR code-generation and support for Microsoft Tags for easy scanning and downloading to your mobilephone.
When I get closer to finish, I'll probably open a new thread announcing it, but for now, let's keep the discussion going here.
+10 Spot on...

I think it looks lovely, could have a block above the categories showing "What's new" "Most Popular" Etc.
+ The App should have a feature to check compatibility of App with device + OS + Custom OS. - This is a must included feature.
+ Ability to add extra sources
Excelent idea guys, the cydia compentence is completly necesary for a new interest, and possibilities for HD2 and powerful hardware and screen multytouch
good idea, keep it up!

Big fan of this project. I would call it the best possible marketplace because of all the support you can get on this forum and although the quality of apps in this forum, but till now it has been quite uncomfortable to follow all these great projects. This could be awesome.
This is one BRILLIANT idea. +5 for this project.
i got to say i think this is the best thing i have ever seen and not only that it will force microsft marketplace to lower its prices, improve and be mroe free like andriod/apple app stores....
can i just ask one thing, could you have phone specific as well for applications like BSB Tweak and all those Touch X cabs and so on, and i was thinking it would also be great if the martketplace had a customizable skin, think of the fun people could have creating their own looks

How to identify if an app is genuine or pirated

Hi I'm new to android phone. When I bought my phone, the mobile store gave me some apps including paid for a deal price from dealers. But I found some apps having a prefix in their file name which on googling I found they are piracy developers. But many of other apps provided by them are already free apps from google play. But some are paid apps, for example, AVG mobile antivirus pro. The file is doesn't have any prefix. Is there any way to find if its genuine or not? Any tips regarding this is much appreciated.
Thanks
Anilnc
Hey
i have been trying to find out too but it seems there is not much attention given on piracy. You would find various copies of same software with changes in icon and stuff to dodge copyright
I have sent an email to AVG team about this. Lets see what they say in order to identify if mine is genuine or not and hope some tips to find for other apps as well.
Hi Anil,
If its a paid app and its not from Google Play but from some other site, then its definitely pirated.
It's not from other site, the mobile store gave them a deal price. I'm 90% sure it's pirated

If it's not from the play store it is most likely pirated and a another giveaway that the software is pirated is when you say that the mobile store gave them a deal price most mobile phone stores don't do this.

Yea that's why I got this doubt. I refused to pay him with a doubt but I believed when he said its a special dealer's offer.

Hi, for safety reasons I recommend that you use google play. Anyone who has an app knows that google play is the best showcase, if it isnt there, we have reason to suspect, that doesnt mean that all are necessarily pirates
The easiest way to check this is if the app is listed in Google Play as purchased, if it's not it may be pirated.

Yea I got same idea. And in google store it shows as purchased. It shows either open or uninstall buttons in the PlayStore. But the version number is different, yet it shows. But not in the installed apps location. I searched for the app in the google play, then the app in google play is not showing to install it, it shows to open button.

Then it's not a legit app, which are from Google Play, then it might be a illegal app. I suggest you to uninstall the apps then buy them if you want updates and support the dev.

Yes I too doubt that maybe all are not pirates, but this app doesn't update to latest version as available in google play, yet it shows the open button instead of install or buy. I'm confused. Hope to get a reply from the AVG team soon.

Yep, I think I will do that.
Hi,
I finally got a reply from AVG regarding the app how to check of its legit or not. I've pasted the mail below.
"We would like to inform you that if the software is not visible on "MyApps" list, then this will tell us that you did not purchased it from google store. To confirm that this is a valid application submitted to google play store, we can identify it by clicking on the "Open" button when you search the name of the application and you were able to open it, then this is a valid application. And if there is no update button, then this is an updated application."
The app not listed in my apps but after searching the app in google play, and clicking open button, it opens the app as AVG said, which means possibility of a valid app. But I am not able to update. They said the current version is 3.2.3 but my app is 3.0.3 with build number 998. I've attached a screenshot. If anyone can help it would be great.

Google is trying to combat this. With the recent update to In-App Billing API V3, even free versions of software can have license checks to ensure the app came from the right place.
I got another reply from AVG, in response to the app I submitted them to check the originality. They said the app I have submitted and installed is original and valid file. But as that file is maybe 6 months old, it cannot be updated. Hence recommended me to purchase the latest version of the app.
STRANGE.
But if I must buy, I feel for me, this app, AVG Mobile antivirus pro is way too high in price. It is 15$ and right now with 30% off with 11$. If anyone could recommend me of any less priced best anti virus app? I was thinking about Kaspersky anti virus for mobile at 5$.

Kasperksy is a good anti virus for the money. Another choice of mine would be Norton.

[APP] Pay Enabler (Google Pay on Oreo outside US/UK/ES/AU/CA etc.)

Android Pay stopped being officially supported/working on Android Wear (starting with the Oreo update) outside US/UK: https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/...ate-disables-android-pay-users-outside-us-uk/ and https://support.google.com/androidwear/thread/26579
I created small proof of concept app that streamlines launching/enabling of Android Pay so even with it disabled, it will only take up to two additional taps to pay with Android Pay:
Launch "Pay Enabler" (instead of Android Pay). If Android Pay is already enabled, Pay Enabler will just launch it directly.
Tap "Enable" (not needed since version 5, requires Accessibility service)
Tap "Open" (not needed since version 4)
Note 1: Google started geo blocking Google Pay on Wear OS H (Android Pie/9) so Pay Enabler doesn't work on newest firmwares. It still works on Oreo.
Note 2: When connected to iOS, Play Store requires standalone connectivity (WiFi or cellular data) for enabling as it doesn't use caches (unlike when paired with Android).

Update 2018/11/19:
Uploaded Pay Enabler version 5 here to XDA (not on Play Store, yet). It uses Accessibility service to automate enabling of Google Pay, no more tapping "Enable". (Source is also available on Github.)
Requires manual enabling in "Settings -> Accessibility -> Pay Enabler".
Works only with English - texts "Google Pay" and "Enable". Post texts in your languages and I will include them (That shouldn't be necessary as of version 5d which supports two dozens of languages - at least for the "Enable" button).
Accessibility service is registered only for Play Store so it shouldn't cause basically any battery drain (as it doesn't poll anything)
Update 2018/11/29:
Version 5 submitted to the Play Store.
Update 2018/12/16:
Version 6 fixes detection of the enable button in some non English languages (cs, fi, hi, ko, th).
For me I have no issue yet, never got 8.0 and I do not want it.
I bought this watch for Android Pay and it has worked fine since May 2017.
Even though I hate Samsung for abandoning Android Wear, I maybe forced in time to try Samsung Pay; I know my Canadian Bank supports Samsung Pay.
Anybody have any clue why Android Pay on the Android Wear watch only works in the US, UK when other countries support it ?

I didn't test it myself (yet, I'm still on Nougat) but based on user reports, Android Pay is only getting disabled (by Google Play services?). It is reported that payments are still working if it's manually enabled.
Based on this, I created small proof of concept app that streamlines launching/enabling of Android Pay so even with it disabled, it will only take two additional taps to pay with Android Pay:
Launch "Pay Enabler" (instead of Android Pay). If Android Pay is already enabled, Pay Enabler will just launch it directly.
Tap "Enable"
Tap "Open"
Version 1 vs Version 3
It was reported to me that Android Pay doesn't show up in Settings (list of installed apps) so since version 2 it uses Play Store for manual enabling. (I will try if I can open the app manually from background once enabled to save the second click to "Open").

My friend, if you find a way to enable android pay on the wear24 i'll get a lot of money, you can sell a app to do this, there's a lot of people looking for it include me! The wear24 is very cheap on ebay, by without android pay is a little useless.

Im in Australia, Google play store says my device is not compatible with this app.
Downloaded the version 1 and 3 apk, but upon installing it says there is a problem with parsing the package.
Help?

The app is compatible only with Android Wear devices running Android Oreo. You must either select your watch when installing from web or search for Pay Enabler in Play Store directly on your watch. It's standalone app for Android Wear and nothing gets installed elsewhere.

Ah, ok. Got it. No worries it works. Than you very much from Australia.[COLOR="Silver"
Just to be clear, this will not work on nougat?
Because as mentioned before it would be great if this brought android pay to the wear24. Verizon's videos show the watch with the android pay app so its obviously a possibility.
Thanks

Thank you OP, it works! I wish Google would fix this or just re-enable.
And how does Samsung Pay on Gear (watch) devices work? I heard it doesn't unless you hack it hard.

Really do I need to spell it out ?
If I am forced to use a Gear I would need to dump "Google" Pay and use Samsung Pay.
But for now my watch has not been upgraded to Oreo works fine, I will never upgrade to Oreo as my first choice.
If I have to in time go to Oreo and have the same issue everybody outside of the UK, and US has I will do two things get annoyed at the arrogance of Google "hey we do not care if you been using Android Pay now Google Pay for months, we will stop you" then I will install the Pay Enabler.
The chances are I will never be forced to by a Gear, though new watches with NFC have not been released.
I'm using it since yesterday and it is so much helpful. Thank you so much!

Is there any way to emulate being in the US from the watch? I get to the download page with the app, but can't download it as it "is not available in my country". Any way to bypass this?

Had the same problem. A long time ago I had created a Google Account via US VPN. Now I added this as a second account on the watch and selected the account in the play store and it works.
I hope it still works like this.
It's not just Android Wear
Will your fix also work on "regular" Android 8.1 on a smartphone? I have the same issue with Google Pay on my Nexus 5x, as I now live in Hungary.
In my case, the "back-end" part of Google Pay continues to work, and I can make payments at contactless terminals using my installed credit or debit cards. But the "front-end" user interface part is disabled just as described here. If I need to change the payment card used for a transaction (or add or remove a card) it's a real pain in the ass to enable the app.
Ironically, the availability of contactless payment terminals in Hungary is excellent, while in the US they almost don't exist.
From the little research I've done on the internet, there are lots of people with Google Pay on smartphones facing the same issue, and so you might want to consider a version of your fix for the rest of us!

As Hungary is not a country supported by Google Pay, are you using your payment card that was issued by US bank? I'm curious to know what is Google Pay policy on using it abroad (as on vacation or expat) - I thought the bank requirement was only for setup/card linking. (I understand you're talking about frontend vs backend as all card data and emulation is done by Google Play services)
Anyway, you should be able to use the attached apk in the first post.

Yes, all my cards are from US banks. Although I now live abroad, all my banking/finance is still US-based. I've been using Android Pay and no Google Pay for about a year without any issues from either Google or my banks. My banks are fully aware of my situation and have been really great about shipping new credit and debit cards to Hungary.
There are rare occasions where the terminal has some issue with the phone emulation, but mostly using the phone is the fastest way to pay, as the fingerprint authentication to unlock the phone eliminates the need to enter any PIN. Interestingly, as all US chip cards are non-PIN and require a signature, when using the phone to pay, I also don't need to sign any slips. The two-factor authentication does all the work.
I'll download the apk and give it a try. Thanks!

Someting about Android apps on Windows11 and how to use Android apps on Windows11

Windows 11 launched on October 5 after spending months in beta. However, the launch version of Windows 11 came without one of the most-anticipated features — native Android emulation allowing users to run Android apps on their PCs. Microsoft had then said it would be testing the feature soon and releasing it to the stable Windows 11 channel later.
Amazon is part of the packageLike Microsoft, Amazon has struggled to get developers to deliver Android apps for its Appstore. Amazon's Fire tablets run on a modified version of Android and anyone who's owned one can tell you there are many holes in what's available. People end up installing Google's Play Store because of it.
The Microsoft Store can be similarly infuriating to use -- from its selection to navigation to payment. With the redesign, Microsoft made it easier for developers to get their apps in the store and make more money doing it. Likewise, Amazon is using the new access to hundreds of millions of Windows customers to attract developers and expand their reach by getting in the Appstore. In the public preview, there is integrated search, browse and discovery for apps in the updated Microsoft Store.
It's not clear if you'll be able to sideload Android apps from other sources or install Google Play Services and the Play Store separately like the Fire tablets. Amazon was the first to get involved but Microsoft says it's not exclusive.
Google not being directly involved here isn't exactly a surprise, either. After all, Google's competing Chrome OS already has access to Android apps through the Google Play store. The thing is, despite being an option for years now, not all Android apps work on Chromebooks. Hopefully, Microsoft can avoid that with how apps will work on PCs.

I'd appreciate if you share with us on XDA how to use Android apps on Windows 11. However, I've removed the links you provided anyway; those two websites you linked to are not accepted on XDA at all. Do not use XDA as a means to make money.
XDA Forum Rules (excerpt):

It will be really a great opportunity for developers to grab their piece of cake. I had posted this news in December on my FB group. I don't know if its allowed to share FB links here. There I have explained it more categorically how its a great time to conquer the industry for developers
If you want to run Android apps on Windows, you need to install the Windows subsystem for Android and Amazon Appstore, and your PC must exceed certain thresholds. Once everything is in place, your Android app will work just like any other native Windows app.
