Hello developers!
Today I installed my first ROM on my SGS2 GT-I9100. I flashed the version 4.0.3 with a Siyah Kernel (4.1.5) and then I installed the Rom "JellyBam" 4.1.2.
Following instructions like... (cant post the links 'caus of forum rules)
and some youtube-Videos explaining the Sion-programm it all worked fine, and I probably installed my Rom succesfully at my phone.
I just got one problem: I cant use the wlan on my phone. I cant turn the "wlan-mode" in the settings on.
it appears the message "turning Wi-Fi on..." but nothing happens!
Hope you guys got a clue, because apart from that I love the ROM
Greetings from Germany, Till

Hey there,
today a friend of mine flashed the Omega Rom 33.3 and got a wifi issue. The wifi never connects and says "Authentication failed", "wrong password" or it just says connecting and after a while it switches back, but on the MIUI the wifi works great. Also the wifi didn´t work on the stock 4.1.1.
I hope somebody can help us. Thanks in advance
Change the kernel .

Thanks for the answer... My friend will try it and I will report if it worked.
EDIT: He tried a new kernel (SiyahKernel S3 v1.8) , also a new modem and it isn´t working at all. The weird thing is, that he got a full nandroid backup of my phone (Omega Rom 33.3), where everything is working fine, but on his phone the wifi doen´t want to work. The wifi worked at 4.0.4, before official 4.1.1 Kies update, and on the MIUI rom.
everytime i installed a custom ROM preferrably CM7 Apocalypse, i always lost my data connection, i dont know why this thing happen, then last time i installed CM7 Apocalypse again (changelog dated 9/7/2012 by itasoulas) i still lost Data Connection though i follow the instructions given, plus i cant receive a message even though i installed a messaging app. i really need your help guys, im tired im reflashing my phone back to Stock Rom over and over again thanks.

I've had this problem with my friends Samsung Galaxy Ace. I've installed 9 or so different custom ROMs, exactly to a T instructionwise and for some reason, every single ROM will not recieve 3g data, i.e. won't send or recieve MMS and won't connect to the internet without WiFi. Any ideas anyone?
Hi! I´m wondering if someone else has the same problem as me.
I have installed Archidroid 2.2.0 on my SG III and, today was the first time with this ROM that i lose the connection, and I need to restart it to make it work, but before, I had the 4.2.1 (leaked JB) and it happend to me very often (normally when I disconnect from a wifi).
Do I have to worry about? or was just the leaked ROM, and this time was just..occassional?
I installed this Omega Rom after downloading from omegadroid.co/download-center/ for my S3 I9300, omega version is v58 - XXUGNB6
now everything is working fine except the calling feature, phone is fast as well but when i try to make a call it says not registered on network. which was working fine before, similarly to another S3 I9300 of a friend the same ROM is installed and it works fine without any problem at all. even calling is working fine.
The error message is "Not Registered on Network "
what can i do to recover my phone? can i unroot it ? if so please appreciate any help on how to do it. what could be the issue here if anyone have a idea.
Thanks in advance.
