Can we get a Verizon G2 accessories subforum? As it is, finding accessories for the VS980 in the G2 accessories forum is rather difficult and badly organized.

Disagree. With a Sprint dev section being added soon, we don't need more sections in an already congested G2 forum. The only thing different from other devices is the thickness in relation to purchasing a case. Screen protectors will fit all models and there is one big Verizon case thread by big70tom. I don't find it hard to navigate the accessories subforum.
It was my understanding that all G2s are the same dimensions. There is even a thread on it comparing sizes. They're all the same.
Even cases should fit. The buttons are smaller but should still work.

That would be incorrect. The Verizon variant is thicker. I saw that thread too but ask anyone who has bought a case not made specifically for the Verizon version and they'll tell you it doesn't fit correctly. Hence, the reason why case manufacturers are stating which version their cases are compatible with.
Ummm. Well I have the Incipio Feather. That's what I always use, so as long as that's available (it is) then I'm happy.

But you have to dig through forty pages and there isn't much discussion, I don't see the problem with having one more sub forum. It'll make it easier for Verizon g2 owners, and no one is forcing non Verizon users to go click on it.

I'm a Verizon user too and see no point in an extra subforum. There aren't many cases available for us and it would be pretty dead. The main manufacturers available for us are incipio, poetic, otterbox, ballistic, and diztronic. All of which I believe have been discussed in that thread.

Your leak on the original Note was spot on, so I'm excited to see what you dig up, even if you don't get a chance to take pics. Plus, getting hands on this early is indicative that they're already in production, which looks like Samsung is going to go with a semi-simultaneous global launch like the gs3...good news for my buddy who is converting to android for the Note 2 from his iPhone.

That's too big. I have a 7" tablet and I couldn't imagine lugging it around all the time or talking/texting on it. Plus I have to have an otterbox defender on everything I own and it would be crazy huge.
They should make a 5.5" phone and the normal 7/8.? & 10 inch tablets.
OK, we do not need any of that type of discussion regarding size issues on a personal matter, if you need to comment on your self, then maybe some inadequacy is involved, never the less it is not needed, that type of posting.

I'm not a fan of on screen buttons either. I see them as wasted space. I actually used GMD Gesture Control on my GNex and set custom gestures from the right and left sides of the screen. You could also root and flash a ROM with Pie Controls.

The only phone I would (and am buying) with a non removable battery is the Motorola Droid Maxx (new one) 3500mAh for non removable is great. 2300 in the One is horrible. Plus don't get me started on the 4MP camera. Might be great for low light. But resolution and clarity. Nope.

I have been looking at other options is live to get the Moto X but this is only available at a extremely high premium that I cannot justify to pay in Australia. My next best option is the LG G2. Can I get some honest feedback please, is it a worthy upgrade from the Nexus 5 or should I look at other options. Keep N5 if you absolutely want an active xda community and if you want an AOSP experience
Go for G2 if you want better battery, camera and sound
It's currently on 4.2.2, 4.4 on its way. Entirely possible to theme it to not look like a Serbian diskotek, but unfortunately the AOSP ports are pretty bad. Everything works but the camera and audio drivers are substandard and the kernel isn't optimized for this device.

I have the G2 mainly because the N5 isn't on Verizon and my work provides me the phone. The G2 is the closest thing to the N5 I could get. The only thing I worry about is long term support by the community for future roms and what not. Right now the G2 has root, custom recoveries and a nice selection of custom roms but how long will dev support last going forward.
